This video's title was the first thing I saw.
indieness is subjective in a lot of ways reallySo when does an indie company stop being an indie company?
When I did my Shovel Knight article I came across this interview of Sean Velasco from Yacht Club Games.
http://prankster101.com/articles/interview-sean-velasco-designer-director-shovel-knight/
He says the reason he and his team left Wayforward is because "WayForward it was a very large company so we wouldn’t always have the chance to work together on every project." The article also regards WayForward as the US equivalent of Treasure Games (Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Heady, Sin and Punishment, Mischief Makers, etc.)
Now, Wayforward actually is a pretty prolific company. Their original titles (Mighty Series, Shantae, Sigma Star Saga) and work with established video game IPs (Double Dragon Neon, Duck Tales Remastered, BloodRayne: Betrayal, A Boy and his Blood) have usually been critical successes. They also do a lot of licensed games that are a bit more hit and miss (who doesn't love Smurfs 2, am I right?).
Here is a list of all Wayforward games:
https://wayforward.com/all-games-by-date/
They made 110 games since 1990. Now, I understand that they do not release physical game with out a publisher, but they have self published their digital titles.
At what point do we consider them a mid level studio?
You are trying too hard, again. This video's title was the first thing I saw.
I'm not a member of the Fun Police or anything, but just as a reminder...
Warn you, the movie people have done! Sin, you must not!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I don't consider Wayforward indie at all. It's middle of the ground. It's just that people consider them indie because of Kickstarter. So when does an indie company stop being an indie company?

HOW?You are trying too hard,again.
We should be expecting some kind of announcement any day now.I'm dying to hear news for Smash DLC at this point.
But Swamp now you can't change your title since you're not a mod/premium.I'm just taking a break guys. Personal issues is all.
I'll stil be around and I plan to return to modship one day but until then, I'll just coast it with you all.
The issue is is that, Indie is a poor term and we should probably find a new way to discern what it means. Indie is suppose to be "independent", but the way it's perceived now is "small time independent developer". So with Way Forward although they may be independent, they work with other companies and are a large corporation, yet, are still independent.I don't consider Wayforward indie at all. It's middle of the ground. It's just that people consider them indie because of Kickstarter.
I'm not kidding. I think this was the reason why people consider them indie.
Kickstarter=/=Indie
Actually, former mods still have some mod perks, including user title changes. But Swamp now you can't change your title since you're not a mod/premium.
You'll always be Swamp Swamp Master Onion to us. <3
I actually got Project X Zone 1 out of curiosity and actually recognized some of the characters, but this one is way more hype for me due to Chrom and Lucina's inclusion.I...I actually wanna buy X Zone 2 now. That announcement just sold it for me.
>Metal FaceActually, former mods still have some mod perks, including user title changes.
I remember changing my user title as a former mod without being Premium.

They've pulled some nice surprises with this sequel.
Speaking of Project X Zone 2, Metal Face from Xenoblade and the Risen zombies from Fire Emblem: Awakening are briefly seen in the opening. Same for M. Bison from Street Fighter. (Two villains voiced by Norio Wakamoto in the same game? Holy ****.)
So what are you dying..... shirts? Your hair? Eggs?I'm dying to hear news for Smash DLC at this point.
Hopefully Shulk gets in on the fun, makes me wonder who'll be FE:A's rival unit.Actually, former mods still have some mod perks, including user title changes.

Absolutely not.How do you feel about Yokai Watch at the moment? Are you worried about it dominating the world?
Do most antagonists play a big role in PXZ or do they just appear as one time bosses?
Ever wanted to see Xenoblade and Fire Emblem: Awakening crossing over in anime form? Here you go.
Makes me wish that Risen and Mechon were included as Smash Run enemies.
LOGIC, WHAT'S THAT.Here's some news.
Roy is the latest innovation in transportation.
Awwwww hell, Metal Face?

From what I heard, it's because they didn't meet the high demand that was given this summer, once they figure out to meet demand rightfully and other toymakers get the rights to the IP (which takes about 6 months from what I heard, I think they will be back in the game again.Merchandise sales for Yo-kai Watch in Japan are already a quarter of what they were last year. I don't see it as having staying power.
Nothing other than it happening. What ever came out of the Fire Emblem 25th anniversary concert back in July? I wasn't around for it.
FEA? Probably Gangrel, Aversa, Validar or maybe Grima (possessing you know who).Hopefully Shulk gets in on the fun, makes me wonder who'll be FE:A's rival unit.
In the first game, plenty of the antagonists have recurring roles and you fight them multiple times.Do most antagonists play a big role in PXZ or do they just appear as one time bosses?
Gangrel or Grima would be my guess since both have the strongest connection to Chrom and Lucina out of the villains in the game.Hopefully Shulk gets in on the fun, makes me wonder who'll be FE:A's rival unit.

Sakurai revealed RoyWhat ever came out of the Fire Emblem 25th anniversary concert back in July? I wasn't around for it.
They appear multiple times but most aren't really "important" per say. They might aid the chosen OC Big Bad, or get a decent arc as leader of another Faction, but that's about it.Do most antagonists play a big role in PXZ or do they just appear as one time bosses?
I would say Robin is the one with the strongest connection to Validar and AversaFEA? Probably Gangrel, Aversa, Validar or maybe Grima (possessing you know who).
Thanks.Gangrel or Grima would be my guess since both have the strongest connection to Chrom and Lucina out of the villains in the game.
