It's not going to fail at all. People are wanting it to fail because "Nintendo Mobile? Noooo" but in reality, it is a free app with micro-transactions (which unfortunately is a huge money maker because people get addicted and don't want to wait a certain amount of time to keep playing) and people can get a watch that allows them to interact more, basically the "Pokétch". Pokemon Shuffle and Rumble World are successful free-to-play Pokemon games. What makes people think Pokemon Go won't be more successful than they are, just because it's on mobile?
Did anybody say it would be a
financial failure, though? I think the only thing people said was that it's unlikely a concept that cool is actually going to play out well. I mean pseudo-virtual reality Pokemon is something I think that a lot of people would love to see and that they've been asking for for some time, and even if it's executed really well I think a concept that big has a strong potential to disappoint due to getting overhyped.
Still no reply... ?
So the answer should be "No, there's no problem", I guess ?
No, there isn't a problem with a topic like that generally, but it depends on what specifically the topic is about. For instance, there's already
a topic about F-Zero that's got people sharing ideas for how to mix up the formula, and it's better to post in that topic as opposed to starting your own. And whatever your topic is, it's good to open it up such that it offers the opportunity for others to share their opinions on the matter.
For future reference, you're more likely to get an answer on something like this by directly contacting a staff member, as they'll be the most likely to be able to give you an answer on what is/isn't okay and they're less likely to see it in an environment like this.
