Man, this thing with Nintendo and youtube is getting on my nerves. I wish copyrights laws got a massive overhaul because here's the thing, games aren't like movies or music.

The enjoyment factor comes from PLAYING the game. You can watch it or listen to it all you want, it will never satisfy the part of actually playing the game.

Well their initial thing was, they didn't want people making money off of their games, which is somewhat understandable I guess, but they settled that as "split your ad revenue with us and it's fine" but now they're just taking other stuff down instead of collecting some ad revenue from them. Not sure what's going on with that.

I am more concerned about the tas one.

Tas is not even trying to modify the game, even worse, it tries NOT to. You coudl even theoretically play the tas, it's jsut an input sequence, the tas being played is jsut so that it doesn;t feel like a mess like you would see in an hexedit, but actually something meaningful.

Like here's the ironic part of this, they invinted a lot of speedrunners at the world championship, so they should say that they like speedrunners. however, i have been in this communityfor several months and I did several months as a gltich hunter for speedrunning, I can tell you that most of these speedrunners probably think that tas sometime is a blessing. I am serious, tasers lead to SO MANY discoveries and new potential being (intended) unfolded. RTA (real time attack) runners often don;t glitch hunt while tasers often do, it compliments it that well and I can';t see tassing without rta and vice versa.

So you see the problem? Taking down tas videos is a much bigger deal to me as I have an admration of the goal behind tases: to show games potential beyond human skills.
