Asking the real questions
I'm pretty sure Activision fully owns everything Crash-related except CTR. They probably just haven't bothered porting the PS1 games to non-PlayStation consoles, though I do know that some of their assets were reused in a few of the GBA Crash games.

Hm, is it music? Because both videos have had music but showboats as well. Steamboat willie is a musical cartoon on a boat, while the other video is a singer on a boat.

I would imagine it's like a Nintendo/Rare situation. Nintendo fully owns the DKC series and they can do as they wish with it. I'm sure the same is true for Activision and Crash.

Wow, all the characters have more 1s, except for K.Rool, Isaac, Bandana Dee, Chibi Robo, Ridley, etc.I like the idea of Pokemon Go! Think it'll be really cool. Even some "non-gamer" friends have shared it on Facebook.

Wait, really? What's the problem with CTR?.. all the things considered, Vicarious Visions also utilized assets and elements from that game to create Crash Nitro Kart (and then Activision used the concept to do their Mobile games with the same name);
It can't be really compared; Since Nintendo owns games that Rare made with their IPs; and Rare's original IPs, independent of the original publisher, are all owned by Microsoft now, and they do whatever they want. -- While the Activision, Sony and Naughty Dog relationship, in theory could be simpler.... Activision acquired the Crash IP (which had nothing to do with Sony aside to be owned by a 2nd Party company), and by that, all the things related to him.. and since they're a 3rd Party company with no compromise with any other 1st Party, they could do some re-releases without any word of both Sony and Naughty Dog (it's just what I want to know; if that logic is correct, actually..)
