Only Smash thing I see plausible is a Sora amiibo and its related update being announced.

Seems way too early for a new game to be announced(but not entirely impossible), but since it specifies it's focused on the Nintendo Switch, they're very unlikely to announce a new system(which is the only real way we're getting any major Smash news that isn't amiibo-related).

Otherwise, I just expect general new games and indepth bits and pieces of some old games, etc.

Ignoring any leaks, I'm expecting Princess Peach in Cryptoland, Side Order (please), Final wave of the Booster Course pass not having Toad Factory, at least 2 HD remasters of "beloved" JRPG titles and there's definitely gonna be the obligatory Mickey Mouse game thrown in somewhere.

MvDK seems more like a new Donkey Kong 94 than a new MvDK. There's no Lemmings element.

Mario VS Donkey Kong is a continuation of DK Arcade in general. It's pretty much the same set of games, just with variable gameplay changes. It's not surprising it went a different direction.

It is awkward, though. But it looks more like trying new things to make it fun and interesting.

Yes, but they made no mention of the restocks or controller. You’d think if every smash amiibo as getting restocked for collection purposes, they would have mentioned it.

Same for the controller. One extra sentence was all they needed but they didn’t comment for some reason on what’s kind of a weird and big deal.
