Yea, i saw a copy of star fox assault that was $50 two years after my friend got it bundled with his gamecube.

I don't really see myself spending my hard-earned CN coins on software I'd rather spend real money on... And even If I was to spend CN coins on software, I would want it to be on fresh eShop releases, like Mighty Switch Force, Zen Pinball, and especially the upcoming Dillon's Rolling Western.

I'm at about 700 coins right now, and what I'm really aiming for atm is the messenger bag at 550 coins.

If VVVVVV for 3DS is as good as the PC version, then it's defnitely a good play.

Yeah, that Harvest Moon is pretty bad. I loved the old school harvest moons, SNES and 64 version specifically.

Although some of you feel some games on this list don't belong I think it is important that for the first poll we have as many options as possible. After this first vote, games in the bottom 33% or so will be dropped from future polls.

My plan is to do a retail poll first and then a download poll since afaisk we can't do them concurrently. To keep the 'best games' list up to date we'll probably hold the polls once a month beginning the day we get the first poll up. i.e. if we vote for games on the 16th and 17th if this month then we'll vote on the 16th and 17th of every month.

I never liked Dedede's voice or portrayal in that series. I've had kirby games since I was a little kid and that's not how he was portrayed in the games

I got MK7, begrudgingly. What pushed me was the fact I was able to buy it at $6 and that my cousin wanted to play with me, plus I have about 3 local friends who would like to play. We're all in our 20s, but whatever.

The game is what I expected it to be. But that amount of work to unlock everything is rather . . . annoying. And for it to be random is also quite a nuisance to me. I am glad I found a moderately quick way to unlock more equipment; For those who you've tagged via Spotpass, you can choose to play them in a Grand Prix and should you beat them (1st place) the game will unlock a random piece of equipment they have placed in their set up.

That's one thing.

I thought the game was ridiculously easy when I played 50cc, but I was TOLD status when i tried 150cc. Sure, I could earn 1st place, but I can't get 3 stars. This gets me butt frustrated. I am not doing anything wrong. I still out perform the computer. It's the items, and the items at the worst possible times that really get on my nerves. Sure SOME of it can be subsided by placing a shell behind you and the like, but that just isn't enough. When I play, we are still so close together, that bumping karts is common place. One mistake and I lose lead. This isn't rare, it is often. I am not a bad player. I have familiarized myself with these tracks with the 50cc and 100cc. Still. How about the times when the item behind me gets swept by a red shell just for another red shell behind that to come and hit me? And let's topple that on with an added Lightening bolt. Circumstance? Doesn't happen often? Sure does when I play. I've shown my friends. The replays. Or how about the fact that I'm saving an item, a good one, for the right opportunity, and a lightening bolt strikes me and I lose it? WHY!?! How about gliding across a bottomless pit and Lightening strikes? Suddenly lost 6 coins and 5 places. I'm not even touching the Blue shell. No avoiding that thing.

Those ITEMS really BREAK the game for me and decrease the amount of enjoyment I get out of it.

Now, the main draw to a racing game TO ME is Time trials. I love getting top time. So I like what they've done here. Ghosts abound from round the world for your particular track. And I could choose not to race against one, but 7. Nice. What I would have liked, though, is the ability to watch Ghosts race the track. I can't find anywhere online where I could see folks speak of shortcuts or watch videos of the like. I wish they had added that kind of option.

I also think showing the stats of each character would have been nice.

Anyway. That's what I have to say that's on the top of my head atm.

Well, you could see the stats of the characters by equipping the Standard parts to them. Also, the items provides a balance for newcomers and veterans. As such, even though items are annoying, you have to remember its Mario Kart. Not only that, but AIs revolve around a rubberband effect. The better you do, the faster they speed up. To get 3 stars in the cups, you need to collect coins and place 1st. A lot of the times, its luck that determines coins due to items getting you unexpectedly, but skill determines your placing in a race. Even on 150cc, I am able to create a good lead while retaining 1st for a majority of the race.

Also, Nintendo Video got the Kirby series?! Must redownload that useless app.

As for voting, I can only vote for Mario Kart 7. (Or Mario Mart XD)

EDIT: After looking at the OP, I saw that the price was listed for 179.99. I thought retail price was 169.99?

I'm pretty Anal about this, man. I must have 3 stars. It should NOT be as hard as it has been. The best i've been able to achieve is 2 stars. I've already noted that which ultimately forces me to fail. And it's a staple of the series I've never really appreciated.

A large reason why I loved F-Zero was because you have such a wide variety of cars to choose from. Then for races you had a life bar. You could choose to burn it for boost and risk wrecking via hitting the walls or an enemy bumping into you or attacking you. You could play smart and save your energy to survive mistakes and possible barrage of attack from opponents. You could attack your opponents, and unlike Mario Kart, once they were out, there were out permanently.

You said you're not a bad player, but are you a great player? 150cc and mirror are suppossed to be challenging and getting 3 stars in all of those races are supposed to be evidence that you are an amazing racer. With that being said, I think the difficulty levels are fine especially considering there are many people who have gotten 3 stars on everything and a handful who have gotten 3 stars the first time through. You sign up for item barrages when you buy Mario kart and if you manage to get a good lead, they're less common. Lightning can be a ***** when you have a good item which is why you should always keep an eye on the bottom screen.

I really like the Kirby right back at ya video. It's what I thought the video channel was going to be originally. The only down side is where they stopped, what's going to happen to Kirby?!?!
