I'm pretty sure Dag and Zim are the only characters that share a VA. Kinda weird because i expected more overlap given how often some of the VAs show up on cartoons.

Like we could easily have 5 tara strong characters if they actually bothered to add Timmy!

He’s basically a parody of Barry White, and he’s a pretty common recurring character.

Call me crazy but I think it's pretty likely at the very least the bosses will be voiced, if nothing else, when you're fighting them.

Speaking of bosses I'll admit I'm a little disappointed we got two each from SpongeBob and Danny Phantom, I would've liked to see an Avatar boss and a Teenage Robot one to round it out a bit.

More details on the Beavers' gameplay from a dev on Reddit:

Quick things to talk about the beavers.They are seen as a single character but they have different movesets and different damage outputs, kb and more.You can change them at any time you want, you can even do crazy stuff like using Dagget and calling an assist from Norbert, during norbert assist, you can swap from Dagget to Norbert, so norbert is now your main, they both share the same damage values and stocks, so if one loses a stock, they're both losing their stock.

While controlling Dagget and you call Norbert assist, you can still move and act freely as Dagget for example.

So they act like a single character in that sense, but they have 2 different movesets. Each assist attack is different between them.

This sounds insanely sick. If you're familiar with games like Marvel Infinite/Blazblue Cross Tag, it literally sounds like they just took mechanics from those games and made them into a singular character for a platform fighter.

It's been 22 years...22 years since the beavers themselves have been relevant.

2023 the year both Angry Beavers and Gamera made a glorious comeback!

Yeah, nothing against Gerald, but he doesn't really hold a candle to Azula in the popularity department.

Yeah, you know what, I’m down with this. At least they aren’t superglued together like Ren and Stimpy are. Aegis/PT style was my best case scenario for a duo Beaver situation. I still would have preferred separate slots but at least I can make them fight each other.

Their stage is kind of lame, though. I always thought the Dam should have been a Tomodachi Life kind of deal where you actually go inside.

Well, looks like those rumors about both Beavers being separately controllable were false. Kind of a bummer in my book, but their movesets certainly don't look bad. I'm liking the assist mechanic already, and they have some cool moves like how Dag's Light Up Air appears to spike. Looks like they're doing CatDog's stance change gimmick from 1 justice this time around. Maybe not main material for me, but I'll have to see more of their moveset to know for sure.
