Terrible play calling by Dallas, as usual.

It's getting to the point where I look forward to watching my team blow leads and lose every week since it makes me feel psychic.

Well even though Dallas lost the Bucs still beat the Saints. We'll see how long we can keep the division lead.

In other news the 49ers beat the Lions. Didn't know they were really legit untill they beat them. Of course they destroyed the Bucs last week but still surprising they beat the Lions.

I didn't get to watch any of the 49ers vs. Lions game today. I listened to parts of it while in my car, but had to shut it off once the 49ers took the lead with under 2:00 to go. A 55 yard FG sounds epic by Akers. Good win 49ers.

It's funny that the Eagles released Akers, cause they thought he was not clutch enough. Sure he missed two against the Packers last year, but that dude has proven he can hit the big one time and time again.

"Fangio sent four or fewer pass-rushers on all but one of Stafford's 57 dropbacks, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Aldon Smith has five sacks over the past three weeks, all when the 49ers rushed four or fewer. For the season, San Francisco has rushed fewer than five on 77.7 percent of opposing teams' dropbacks. "

Wow...that's such a double edge sword. If they don't get pressure, a QB has all day to throw, and someone will get open no matter how many people you have in the back field. Brady or Rodgers would destroy that kinda D if 3-4 people are only rushing per play. It's still impressive how the D-Line is getting sacks when rushing 3 or 4.

For the guys rooting for the jags...did you seriously think Gabbert wasn't going to get taken advantage of by the Steelers D? :3 I'm glad mendenhall finally had a good game like I expect him to have.

I find it funny Detroit's coach was ragequitting at the end of the game.

AND HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS. First play I watch Romo gets intercepted. All is right in the world.

Man, my Cowboys can't close a game to save their life :(

In other news, two coaches thought they were trying to play real life Super Smash Bros. I'm sure everyone's already seen the video, but that's no way to set the example :/

Lol at Detroit Fans...

"You guys might have won, but you still have Alex Smith." LOL
That's going to go in my sig for about a week lol

I actually haven't seen "the video" you're referrin' to. A link would be awesome.

No I did not click any of the links in the following posts to see if they'd be a link to the brawlz. Because I'm awesome like that.

Raiders give up a first rounder and potentially another first rounder for Carson Palmer who has yet to play a snap in practice or game.

There wasn't any other QB on the market and the Raiders have a great chance to make the playoffs...but this is what I call overpaying. They just needed someone to manage the game like Campbell.

Bring back Jeff Garcia.

David Garrard must be hating his back right now, because he is a way better QB than palmer.

I would know; the Steelers got to beat up Palmer twice a year.

What makes me cringe is a guy from my high school has to protect palmer now.

Stefan Wisniewski, the raiders 2nd round pick this year, was one year ahead of me in school, went to my high school, and also went to my college(PSU).
Really nice guy too, and really smart(Graduated 3rd in his highschool class while being a top college prospect).
Meatriding him a bit here I know, but my favorite play he's made so far this year:

I don't like Palmer at all, especially considering he turned his back on his team. Hopefully he stops acting like a baby.

Bart Scott couldn't wait to get lit up.

Only successful player that came from my time in highschool is Rex Burkhead. Currently plays for Nebraska as their RB. Was their starter last year. Not sure what he's up too now.

Just checked. Looks like he's having a solid year. 110 carries for 640 yards so far. 8 TDs total.

2 other nfl players that came from my high school:

Marc bulger

Dan Marino :awesome: (Jersey's retired at the school)

And Penn State has had a lot of NFL players obviously. Its always been known as one of the top college football schools.

One of my personal favorite NFL players to come from PSU is Franco Harris.

Carson's a decent QB, but throughout 6 of his 8 years in the league, his best TD/INT ratio has been 1.6 to 1...his best. He had those two prime years of his career from 2005-2006 where this was different, but it's been 4 years since he's been in that shape.

I'm sorry but you can't get by in this league with that type of ratio. Your rating might not falter as much as people think, and you might still put up great pass yardage and a decent completion percentage (which he debatably has), but you'll always be losing games, that's just a fact. This is why he's never won a playoff game, and probably never will in his career. The Raiders got the wrong guy as far as I'm concerned.

Now he obviously has physical talent, and maybe I'm wrong, maybe he does have the potential to prosper, but I think even if this was the case, after 10 months of not playing a game in this league, it's going to take him a while to get back into shape, so at the very best the Raiders picked up a work in progress.

He's had two big injuries in the past as well. He's out of shape, so what worries me most is if he's ready to take a football hit in his condition.

Yeah I mean he's still somewhat young for a QB (especially for the rules this league has in place protecting them now) at 31 years old, but he's definitely out of shape and will need to adjust to the pace of the league again.

I just have never been a Carson Palmer fan, and have always thought that he was overrated when he was playing well, but then again, most QB's are.

So anyway.

:( @ the Jets. This week will show us if they have what it takes to go on for the rest of the season. As this goes into their bye week and they have a rough two weeks afterward (First the Bills, then the Patriots again).

 @ the Patroits because they won't go down. They only lost once. I want to see some more. Lord knows how happy it makes me to see any Boston team lose.

Tom Brady has been shaky, anyone can see that. But I guess nobody else has been able to take advantage of that much.

Cowboys were doing a good job.

But it's like everyone said - You do not give Brady the ball in the fourth quarter.

Cowboys should have won that. A few mistakes here and there and they lost it. It's not like Patriots weren't having an off game. They were playing solid. Boys just wonky, as with their whole season, and I think they were coming off a bye, so that didn't help them either.

Lol, Cowboys could not even run the ball down to milk the clock. Coach was like, "Well if I make Romo throw it, we're effed..." So he took his chances running the ball.
