D3 is more broken than 7 Snakes uptilting you at the same time. D3 should never lose a single match to Snake...
So are you going to continue to be frustrated knowing that you're picking the worse character (while the other person wins the money)? Or is there some other way to win?

I might continue to be frustrated, but I know I can outplay certain players, therefor character match-ups lose some of their power. I thought about picking up Falco (CGing D3), and I have also thought about picking up MK (spamming tornado on D3), but I think I might have either too much pride, dignity, and style, possibly all 3, to actually follow through with it. I will continue to try and improve my game, so that I can outplay any player not on my level, regardless of the match-up, but if my theory proves wrong, I may have to do the popular thing and pick up a secondary character, one that is strong against D3, so that I can use some kind of lame exploit to win matches. Its lame, but sometimes these things are necessary, I suppose...

stick with snake. most ddd's dont know how to play against a good snake because of all of the projectiles. and u shouldnt want to pick up a new character just because of one character u have trouble with. but i would suggest falco or marth. metaknight=predictable. utilt out prioritizes tornado everytime and idk its not that hard anymore. but do whatchu want :)

That's exactly why you should pick up a new character. It's pretty impossible / stupid to play only one character no matter what. Multiple characters are standard

i stick with ddd and i dont think iv ever been "*****" brawl is much different than melee. sakurai made it so the game is as even as possible (even though it didnt go exactly as planned *snake cough cough*)

that doesn't mean there's not going to be a bad matchup for DDD v a viable character that other really good players can and do use. there's no disadvantage not to; sheer laziness is the only reason why you wouldn't want to

I think it's always logical to have an alternate because it's simply a different approach. Of course it's important to master your character, but you also may need a back up plan if your main is just not working. It also makes you less predictable, because your opponent will have to readjust to your new character. And at that point you have the advantage because you've already seen how your opponent plays.

hah
aero people are getting mad at you because you beat the most "broken" character in the game.
just accept it, aero won.
pick up a secondary if you want you dont have to listen to people on the boards

too many reasons to list....why WOULDN'T you not like Brawl? =P
Because it's fun to play and it's new, so the game is still evolving. It's a good fighting game even though it has blatent, intentional flaws and is not nearly as good as Melee. If you take it for what it is rather than focus on what it's not, it can be pretty darn fun. There are also a lot of people that play it, so that makes it easy to make friends, get good, and win money.

I only play Brawl when I'm in the mood for items and stuff but I'm saying I don't like it as a competitive game. It's just way too boring competitively imo but with items and such, it's amazingly fun.

I remember back in Melee, DSF would keep changing characters so that his opponents couldn't get used to the playstyle of one of them and gain an advantage.

i agree i never figured out why players like hugo never picked up a 2ndary for certain matchups
alex once told me "don't try to use a 2ndary if you can't beat him with your main"
funny comeing from the main who constantly plays 2ndary's, for one reason or another

WTF?! Probably one of the dumbest things I've heard. The whole point of picking up a secondary is to be able to compete with and beat certain characters with less trouble than using your main.

Not to mention there is practically no solid base or reasoning for that statement lol.

Ya i agree with mio
you guys who dont like brawl need to stop focusing on the bad and just look at the good the game has. It is still competative non the less, so why wouldnt you just try to get into it so you can stay in the smash scene?
and once again, like mio said, the game is still evolving. what did it take, like 2 years or something, to find the wavedash? wavedashing is what made Melee such a huge success imo. so just give brawl time. im SURE there are advanced techniques we have yet to cover yet, just like in the early stages of melee there were techniques that took a while to uncover.

I completely agree. I fell into that trap in Melee and its not a good idea. Even though my character was able to fight against any matchup, it would have been so much easier if I picked up Sheik, I wouldn't lose to Marths players here and there (like at Pound 3) Right now in Brawl I'm having trouble with Snakes, so currently I keep switching my secondary because I'm looking to use Snake's worst matchup, heh. Trying to avoid D3 though but I may end up with him as a last resort if I can't find another that does the job.

By the way, people who don't like Brawl I've realized are not saying its not competitive, they are saying competitive brawl is boring/tame compared to competitive melee. And honestly that's hard to argue with, you can't beat triple knee combos.

stop flattering yourself. you're not special. i read what you post in this forum. if you didn't have your head in your *** it would be obvious that's what i was referencing -- your recent spew of idiocy the last couple of days. i don't give a **** what else you post.

i know a lot about this game, and definitely way more than you. not trying to brag, just saying it like it is.

"If you keep talking like a *****, I'm going to have to slap you like one"

You gotta dress down the ***** every now and then when the situation calls for it.

cant everyone just love each other and have their own opinion on the games without having some kind of argument about it?
