The Excellent Adventures of Yes! and Kslizzard.
So Sunday I contacted Kelvin aka Ksizzle aka Kslizzard to see if he was down to hang out. He lives about 10 minutes from me so I'd visit often in the summer. I was pretty busy during the fall semester, and wanted to catch up and such, especially since I hadn't played any form of smash since the Great Fiasco. I drive over.
10 minutes later, I make it to his area and look for somewhere to park. Since it's snowed about 40 million times I couldn't find a good area to park. In searching for a spot, I looped around his block a few times.
Loop 1: As I passed potential spots I saw things that blocked the way. There were chairs, tables, tires, and a full desk. Thinking to myself "wtf," I called Kslizzard and told him the situation, and that I'd try again. Loop 2 was similar.
Kslizzard told Zucco "brb" and met me outside his place.
Loop 3: Kslizzard now joined me. We searched and searched, hoping Shippo would bless us with a spot. I told him that this sa-sucks, and we discussed the ethics of putting things to save the parking spot.
Loop 4: We decided to expand our search to beyond Kslizzard's block, and wound up driving about half a mile away, it is at that moment I declared I wished Sentinel to be in Marvel vs Capcom 3, but they keep his old 2D sprite. Upon returning to Kslizzard's block, we began our 5th loop.
Loop 5: We went around to the other side of Kslizzard's block, continuing to pray to Shippo. On this new venue in our search, we found a roadblock: someone left their car in the middle of the street, and a car on the other side was blocking any passage. A third car came up from behind me. Kslizzard and I thought we were about to be boxed in, and I began to contemplate on things I missed out on in my life that I'd never be able to do now. Thankfully the second car moved, yet we still could not find a spot.
At this point I had given up, and was about to drop off Kslizzard. We were disappointed, and emphasized how much this sa-sucked. We decided to try once more, but were not hopeful.
And as soon as I turned the corner, a spot opened up. A car was leaving. We thanked Shippo, as I attempted to parallel park. Between this spot was a giant mound of snow and another car. There was a driver in the other car, so I asked him if he was leaving as well. He told me that he was, but was also planning on reserving his rightful place that he spent "two ****ing hours cleaning," with a tire. He helped me to park between his car and the snow, and bid us goodbye.
After 30 minutes of trying to park, Shippo finally answered our prayers. We went up to Kslizzard's place, played project M, made fun of the West Coast for losing to bad characters, and made fun of Zucco. Good times.
