Also make sure you give naota21t an extension in terms of starting his singles matches. He should phone in though. Like start the brackets but delay his matches. As long as it doesn't hold up the brackets, then it should be okay unless pools is involve in this or something.

It is okay. There will be future West San Jose tournaments. I couldn't make this one too.
38 people said they were interested in future SJ Melee tournaments. Naota21t, hopefully you made it to this tournament. Also hopefully these matches get recorded. Also Andrew, can you tell Brandon to rent the venue for the time you are in Asia and I will pay him the venue fee? I can run or help run these tournaments in the summer if Brandon doesn't want to. Thanks.

Don't worry. Everyone does bad in their first few tournaments. Next tournament (if I am going), I'm bringing multiple laptops (probably like 3) to make sure we get a lot of matches recorded. Before Metal Reflect Slime was released in USA, if you Googled my SN Smash Boards name, you would have found my posts on Smash Boards, but now if you Google "metalreflectslime" (even if the actual name of the card is written as 3 words), you find the actual Yu-Gi-Oh card.
Anyways, I can't wait to see the videos of the recorded matches and the full results.

sry to that jiggs that i camped hella hard in brackets. had to do it.
it was a weird *** bracket b/c all the heavyweights were eliminating each other pretty early. kevin got to winner's final and only really played rey. lol good ****.

Yo haha it's-a me, Miguel if you didn't know (gonna put MMx2 as my "name" next tourney lol). My first non-school tourney (3rd tourney overall) and despite me getting beating 1st round of winner and losers, it hyped me up quite a bit even though I was rather shy to talk to anyone.
Everyone was so fun despite some smashers not talking; their personalities were revealed during matches. Seeing random people and random ranked people, I have to now officially say, the (Melee) community is TOO GOOD to die quickly, so put this in as my response to that one topic.
To the Mario Melee Boards, I'm trying to revive you guys, my 1st tourney and I used Mario all the way (though I was bad haha)
Phil, you were prolly the only one who asked for my name except for shehehe cause I need to be registered.
Lunin, I managed to remember you in time to ask about that raw egg. On and nice piano playing.
Tang, you were a lot less composed (or more accurately, louder) than I'd think you were but that's actually a good thing in a way, pretty funny.
Shroomed, if only you used Mario D:
And to everyone else, hope there's a tourney again this summer vacation. This was fun and I can really only go to close-by tourneys.

Lots of fun. I got 2 and outed, but got to watch epic matches and played a lot of friendlies(to be honest, from my performance in friendlies, I thought I'd do better than bottom 25%, but oh well.) I got to learn a lot from watching Darell's matches, and from him telling me about the Sheik v Samus matchup. Hopefully next time I can win a match.
