Kind of unfair to paint everyone with a board brush implying that there was more than one person that asked you to step out. It was just the one person. Most of us are saying to not lose hope and some others are suggesting not to get too emotionally invested into the DLC.

But Banjo (a fully brand new character) was revealed at E3 in June and was released 3 months later in September. DLC5 isn't happening any later than February 2020 (also 3 months) and these are just Mii hats... not even the full costumes.

There's always another time. The next Pass is FULL of possibilities for possible Female representation. 2B, Lara Croft, Kos-Mos, and so much more. There's so much to look forward to in the next Pass and beyond.

You know there’s more dlc right? like, WAY more.
Geno isn't someone I want, but I do want various obstacles in speculation to be cleared, and he'd get rid of them all except "no ATs" and "no first parties".Man... I just want Geno. I've wanted him for so many years, for so many reasons.
Yes, there are better picks, yes, Geno fans can be pretty obnoxious, but I want nothing more than for this to happen so I can shout it from my dang rooftop. My signed Mario RPG copy on my wall wasn't meaningless.
Even if you don't want Geno, which I totally understand, just think of what else him making it in could do. Relevancy? Dead. Spirits deconfirm? Dead. All the DLC has to be from different/new IPs and companies? Dead.
We get the character we've obsessed over, we get to shut up about him, and the floodgate of possibilities opens even more.
...Assuming this is real, anyway. I swear I'm keeping my expectations in check, haha.
I don't have faith in the future DLC. It'll just be all male again. That's what I think.
If I'm harsh, it's because I've been down this road before and am not about to be cautious when I seriously believe someone might be in way too deep on this stuff. I just want them to take care of themselves, you included.
If you were honestly, without any hyperbole at all, having thoughts that extreme over the chance of Doomguy getting in, then you actually need to do something to help yourself since it sounds like there's more at work here than just your disappointment.
Since Sakurai said these 5 were decided on before Ultimate was completed, it would definitely if Doomguy.
Probably, its just the reality we live in. There's a clear Main Character bias for inclusions (which makes sense) and there aren't many games where females are the main characters..the only two I could see getting in (and wanting on my part) are 2B and Jill Valentine (I don't really want Lara Croft tbh..and I sadly never see Morrigan getting in due to her provocative design).
I can't breathe normally. Hell, I can't do my essay on feminism with this in mind, and this presentation of male dominance isn't fueling my creative thinking.
It isn't healthy. It was never healthy to begin with anyway. Chances are still probable, and it's all ****ed up, all of it.
Then at the very least, can't we just have just one. One is so easy.
Well you might not care about all of the possibilities for female characters, but there definitely is enough good female choices to warrant a few of them as dlc and/or at least one in the first fighter pass. I don’t think that’s too much to ask at all. But who knows, maybe we’ll luck out in future dlc.
Get help, if this is how you are reacting to dlc for a video game. I can't even imagine how can function in everyday life when you let little things like this get you.
Lesley, this is beyond disappointment. Take it from me. I once had to admit myself into a mental hospital for ten days because I literally could not go a single night without waking up in the middle of the night having a panic attack over NOTHING AT ALL. I just expected it.
Because I care about the game. I care about it. It led me to a successful life here. And it is also Smash that gave me my feminist views.
You say that like they're playing the cards against women instead of looking the male:female ratio of characters deemed likely.

I think that't honestly just a change made overtime. Remember, Sakurai fully admitted during Hero's demonstration that he was using a development build to showcase him, and the timer there is the same as ever.
I'm not saying you should be satisfied with the DLC picks, but repeating how disappointed you are ad nauseam isn't going to help anyone.

I give it 3 days maximum. Besides, you can literally leave whenever, they can't force you there.
Well with the ellipses and change of avatar this atmosphere is just relatively uncomfortable now.
