He is probably just using Ness as a Stand-in for Frisk but I choose to believe it was on purposeDon't forget Undertale's.なお、2015年のきょうは『UNDERTALE』も発売。 pic.twitter.com/6K4xRQktOE

Things are only going to get crazier... O_OYup
Sakurai just referenced Gametheory
These really are the final days of existence
Moving on, I want to propose a game. Suppose you got to pick the remaining 5 fighters, but here's the kicker: you need to choose a fighter from each of these series:
So... who would you pick?
- Super Mario (No Donkey Kong/Wario/Yoshi)
- Fire Emblem
- Pokémon (No Mystery Dungeon since that's its own thing)
- Kid Icarus
- Metroid
Mine are Gooigi, Seliph (or Arvis), Gengar, Eggplant Wizard, and... uh...shoot I don't know any Metroid characters because I don't play that. I guess Kraid?
Simple.Gonna be straight with ya.
Not to sound conspiracy-ish, but how exactly can we trust Verg's Square Enix list?
This makes me so nostalgic. I miss when Toby Fox was just a regular dude on Starmen.net, he was a really funny guy. But at the same time, I'm glad he found success. I just wish I could've gotten to know him better, I only spoke with the dude once or twice. Next thing you know he's meeting ****ing Sakurai.I thought it was Sakurai referencing Undertale's EarthBound roots. Either possibility is wild.
Guys I think we broke ShinyLegendarySmash Reveal
very nice yes

TBH I feel that this year especially, this thread's been too hung up on leakers and insiders. It is worth noting that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity wasn't publicly leaked.
So we could get a smash reveal any day now. Even if the insiders stay quiet.
When you're in a desert, you're going to look for any source of water you can get, even if you have to rip your hands open tearing into a cactus.TBH I feel that this year especially, this thread's been too hung up on leakers and insiders.
Like, yeah, they're part of the equation and definitely help us narrow things down, but I don't think they should be the sole decider to everything like they have been for us lately.
Earthbound Beginnings maybe.Everyone's jumping on the "Sans is Ness reference" train when they see this pic while overlooking the fact that Undertale was inspired by and is already a visually similar game to Earthbound.

Don't care about xenobladeAbstaining but let me do one like that but with different franchises:
1. Xenoblade
2. Splatoon
3. F-Zero
4. Kirby
5. Let’s not make my bias so apparent and throw in a curveball... PIKMIN!
The Mario Direct was at the 3rd of September (Thursday), and the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity trailer was dropped at the 8th of September (Tuesday). What days of the week were the Mario direct and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity dropped?
Things we have gotten inbetween Fighter 6 and Fighter 7If that PotD isn't proof that we live in the most blursed timeline, I don't know what is lol.
Or maybe it could just be the fact Undertale is massively inspired by the Mother series to the point of both Sakurai and Itoi acknowledging that fact?Yup
Sakurai just referenced Gametheory

Shh, with how 2020's going, the former option's for the best.Or maybe it could just be the fact Undertale is massively inspired by the Mother series to the point of both Sakurai and Itoi acknowledging that fact?
Nah, it's gotta be a reference to famous friend of pope, Matpat!
-Blacephalon
Good taste. (I'd personally go for Xurkitree if we're getting an Ultra Beast, but I like Blacephalon too.)Gatekeeper
