This makes me so nostalgic. I miss when Toby Fox was just a regular dude on Starmen.net, he was a really funny guy. But at the same time, I'm glad he found success. I just wish I could've gotten to know him better, I only spoke with the dude once or twice. Next thing you know he's meeting ****ing Sakurai.

TBH I feel that this year especially, this thread's been too hung up on leakers and insiders.

Like, yeah, they're part of the equation and definitely help us narrow things down, but I don't think they should be the sole decider to everything like they have been for us lately.

I don't give a damn about fire emblem, why not add somebody from advance wars (fire emblem's superior sister franchise) instead.

I love Metroid but it doesn't have anybody else worth adding. If they develop Sylux later on then I guess they could add him.

The villain guy people suggest (never played an f zero so I don't really care)
Marx and yes he's great as a boss but he'd also be a fun fighter. Better and more interesting than waddle dee or magalor.
Louie, and he would be somewhat similar to Olimar except instead of controlling Pikmin, he would control non-pikmin wildlife like Dweevils and other arthropods

The Mario Direct was at the 3rd of September (Thursday), and the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity trailer was dropped at the 8th of September (Tuesday).

Things we have gotten inbetween Fighter 6 and Fighter 7
-Proof that Shin Megami Tensei V still exists and a release date
-Official acknowledgement of the Sans-Ness connection
-Mario 35th stuff at last

Things we have not gotten inbetween Fighter 6 and 7
-Any sign of regular Nintendo Directs
-Any sign of Fighter 7

How much blursed can this period of time get?

What are some arguments you think are common or stereotypical that you see for characters getting in? I can name the following:
  • Game is on Nintendo
  • Game is on Switch
  • Game is trending
  • Moveset potential
  • Female representation
  • Genre representation
  • Franchise representation
  • Retro representation
  • Sakurai said he wanted them in
  • Sakurai said he liked their game
  • Reaches #1 on "fan polls" (as if they have any credibility)
  • Highly requested
  • More western characters
  • Japan loves them
  • Nintendo shill
  • Mii costume hasn't returned (yet)
  • Basically a lock at this point
  • They need more pr0n
  • WTF pick

I mean.... 'kinda' it was.

Imran teased it a day early just, it was an Imran style leak where.... you weren't expecting/looking for it since it seemed like an innocuous Twitter post.


I'm just really not expecting anything aside from Monster Hunter being dropped soon, ESPECIALLY this week with Mario Collection being the big draw.
