At this point, I think a lot of people are desperate to see who the next fighter is, thus they go to any length necessary to figure out who it could be.

Personally, I never look at any leak and think "oh hey this is 100% true". I got burned by the Grinch leak, I don't want it to happen again.

Shinobi is pretty different in terms of folks who have cred, much closer to somebody like Zhumongous rather than Pornlady or random 4chan posts. I just think it's kinda funny how 99% of these silly rumors even at times don't make much sense but get a butt ton of attention.

Leakers are gonna have to find a new game to troll with fake leaks once Ultimate is over with.

I feel like MonHun's always been one of the big choices for Capcom characters, especially since the Mii outfits are still missing. If Resident Evil may be out, then aside from Phoenix Wright and Okami, it feels like Monster Hunter is kinda the big Capcom choice, IMO at least.

Dante is definitely over those two.

Let's recap.

First, we started out with a quick leak saying that the next fighter would be a Nintendo character, and someone that nobody would be expecting.

Then we brought back Tiffany Treadmore for whatever reason, since her profile picture was now Chibi Robo. Turns out that was because someone wanted her to give an obscure game more attention, so that means nothing.

Unfortunately, that gave her enough time in the spotlight to post something odd and vague again, as usual. That led to speculation on what it was, with some people thinking it was something decidedly not safe for work. Personally, I think it looked like a guy pogging, while some else said it was probably Chris Evans.

Then someone pointed out that Evans had accidentally posted, erm... Something that I did not expect to be discussed on SmashBoards.

And that's the gist of how we got here.

Honestly, the only reason we're giving any attention to supposed "leakers" like HGV and that one Spanish twitter user is because, well... Fighter 7 hasn't been revealed yet, and we're looking for any sign that Fighter 7 is coming soon (especially considering it's already been a few months after the last character). It certainly doesn't help that more credible leakers like Nate and Grubb haven't said anything pointing to a date.
