It's 2 million votes because there were a ****ton of polls that each received like 10k votes. Look at their community tab. It's a tournament, not a singular poll. You guys make of that what you will, I still find it interesting that Zelda won that many "matches."

According to the video Little Samson is old, obscure, and incredibly rare so it shouldn't be surprising that he only got a single pity vote; nobody knew him.

I didn't mean to imply that I thought he was robbed, I was shocked he was that high(and thought, "is Little Samson huge in South America?").

But knowing that there was only 24 total, and he came in last place, makes more sense.

I saw on gfaqs that Zippo was references saying there's going to be a CGI trailer for the direct this coming Thursday. Let's see if that happens.

Any ideas on who it might be if it's true?

This is assuming there is a Direct on Thursday, let alone a CGI reveal trailer. There are quite a bit of characters who come to mind who I think could get a CGI trailer:

• Crash Bandicoot (he's considered a frontrunner and would be a good pass opener so I can see him getting a CGI trailer)
• Dante (I could see his reveal involving Bayonetta)
• 2B
• Lara Croft
• Ryu Hayabusa (he may end up having his trailer be similar to the original NES Ninja Gaiden opening instead of a CGI trailer)
• Another character who I'm probably forgetting about

By the nature of it being CGI, wouldn't that mean anyone can get one? There's nothing preventing anyone having a high quality trailer unless they're like, what, game n watch style'd.

True, anyone could get a CGI trailer. It depends on how the team wants to present the character in a trailer. Joker, Terry and Byleth could've had CGI trailers, but their trailers were presented through the styles of their own games (Joker's being the anime cutscenes of Persona 5, Terry's having several scenes from Neo Geo games, and Byleth's having their reveal presented through Three Houses's engine).

That being said, I don't expect every trailer to be in CGI, mainly because those are the most expensive to produce and there is a budget for the DLC.

As a Latin American who's also a pretty hardcore Smash fan, I question the legitimacy of this poll. I think if there was such a big poll going around I'd have heard about it, so I think it's probably restricted to a pretty tight circle that just voted a lot. Some of the picks also lead me to that conclusion.

But we do love Crono over here, probably because of the Toriyama artstyle.

Geno that high enough to be above Dante over here in Latin America? That be news to me, at least in my neck of the woods. Not that he doesn't have support, but over Dante or even Spyro, Phoenix Wright, Monster Hunter or Doomguy? I didn't expect that. Same with BOTW Zelda being that high.

Even we do get something big like Dante giving Sora a piggyback while doing a ventriloquist act with Geno while 2B flies the plane, we likely won't see any gameplay or a release. COVID-19 has largely put the breaks on game development and for a good reason. While it sucks having to wait a little longer, it would suck even more if the virus spread at Namco-Bandai building got a lot of people seriously sick.

Yeah, gameplay helps but you can always use this potential chance to learn more about the newcomer.

I was interested in a DQ character long before we saw them in action because I found out there was so much to pull from in that franchise.

They aired an indie Direct just last week, so I doubt the virus is effecting the schedule at all.

Persona 2's sequel game (like FF X-2) has a distinct sole female protagonist (who was a party member in the first Persona 2 game). While the male protagonist from the first game becomes a party member in that game.

I wouldn’t compare P2’s situation to P3P’s as Tatsuya and Maya have defined personalities and don’t have the Wild Card. Makoto and Minako have the Wild Card and are essentially blank slates to a point
