Wow. I did not know how many people would respond to my post. I just said that because of how far of a shot I thought Terry had and how not a lot of people knew who he was. I don't think Sakurai is gay for the maker of Terry, and it was just a joke. I'm sorry. But my theory for Toad not being in the game is Sakurai was going to put captain toad in the game, and when he was about to press publish, His gay lover Chuck called him saying he was in the hospital and needed assistance. Sakurai rushed over to the hospital, and a Nintendo employee was just fired walking out of the building. He was so mad at being fired, so on his way out, he snuck over to Sakurais computer and he changed captain Toad to Piranha Plant just to mess with Sakurai and Nintendo. When Sakurai got back he thought it was enough Mario characters and to just leave it as it is.

FE6/7 remake was rumoured for 3DS and canceled, I said Ike because the latest "rumour" is Path of Radiance remake for the Switch as the next FE game. I guess some Smash fans would like that to happen because we already have Ike in Smash lol

Would you mind sharing the Tellius remake rumour? I've heard rumors for Jugdral and Elibe, but not Tellius. Just want to be sure.

Sakurai can see more than you think. He could tell that Mega Man, Ridley (mainly a Western request), and Geno were popular without a ballot, and I don't think he needed a ballot to see that K. Rool and Banjo were popular either. A lot of characters who he claims to have gotten in because of the ballot should've been obvious.

Even if no direct this month I still got my Spawn gameplay reveal and release date not to mention getting to see Bloodshot this week. That and beginning my Keanu Reeves marathon with Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure tonight.

If nothing tomorrow its either next week or were probably waiting until E3 as April will be too close to it and amiibos being just restocks not coinciding with amiibo theory.

Unless they don't have anything big planned, I expect a Direct before E3. Nintendo usually reveals a really big game that ends up being that year's focus in the months leading up to E3 because it stirs interest (Odyssey, Ultimate, SwSh).

I think we'll get a short clip of BotW 2, then we'll have to wait until E3 before we get a more in-depth trailer, demos, lots of gameplay footage, and some miscellaneous information.

a lot of people hate master chief and would much rather a roster spot go to a nintendo character instead of another Microsoft Rep. I know a fair amount of people who said they would quit if master chief gets in the game. A mii costume for him would be perfect.

As far as the way the DLC characters played I thought all of them were pretty unique and fun, even Byleth. Yeah, having yet another Fire Emblem rep was a bit of a groan moment but Byleth is pretty fun. I have confidence that regardless of characters repped, that all the upcoming DLC characters will be fun as well.

That said, my first input on here for wants and expectations:

Expectations:
-Crash Bandicoot is a very safe bet. I'd actually be shocked if he didn't make it in.
-Rayman feels like a pretty safe bet, I don't think I would care either way but he could have a fun move set and Ubi Soft and Nintendo are pretty tight.
-Steve from Minecraft would make an interesting choice and with Banjo in already it shows Nintendo is willing to work with Microsoft. I don't know how much of a chance he truly has but I wouldn't be surprised if he's there.
-Travis Touchdown is another somewhat safe bet. With No More Heroes 3 coming (and I'd expect No More Heroes 1 & 2 HD remakes as well) I think Travis would make a fun character and I don't think it would be out of left field to see.

Wants:
-Conker. It won't happen. I know it won't. No one cares about Conker anymore and Sakurai already mentioned how SSBU is for "good little boys and girls" and Conker is a very M-rated character. If by some miracle he did make it in, not only would I instantly main him, but he'd have to be toned down - no pissing on opponets, no decapitating them with a chainsaw, no getting drunk,and it wouldn't be quite the same. That said I'd still be super ecstatic about a toned down, sober version of my all-time favorite video game character Conker the squirrel.
-Dixie Kong. As a huge DKC fan I'd love to see her there. I don't think she has a good shot but I think it's possible. I love that K Rool is there, but the DKC ensemble just feels incomplete without Dixie.
-Spyro. Another one I just don't see happening. I love the character, would love to see him there, and he'd definitey bring a unique playstyle to the game.
-Geno. Yes, we all want Geno. Well, not all of us. But there are still some hardcore Geno fans. To be honest Geno in Smash just feels like a meme at this point and I really don;t think he has a shot. I probably wouldn't even play him, if I'm honest since I'm not really good with projectile based characters, still, I've been wanting him since Brawl as have many others and it would make me super happy to see it become a reality.
-Bomberman. It won't happen. But it would be aamzing if it did. He's an assist trophy which I think pretty much means zero chance already but he would've been a great addition to the roster.

I mean, that didn't stop the Animal Crossing Direct. If they have news to share, I don't see why they'd keep delaying it until the Coronavirus blows over. No telling how long that would take.

I think it's more likely that this gap between Directs was planned and that the Pokemon and AC Directs were all they scheduled for January and February.

I can say for certain that those are not only a vocal minority for the fanbase, but that they're also drowned out by the "Don't Add Hat Goomba" crowd.

Chief would have an overwhelmingly positive reception, especially compared to Dee, who, justified or not, is much more divisive.

Well suppoaidly we are getting a nindies dorect sometime this month if you beleive sabi. I do think we will get a general direct though. If they dont do anything till e3 that means nintendo has nothing coming out till june. We already know many games are coming via ratings in various countries, so to not even have a direct to talk about those games for the months of march till late june is madness.

Thank you for your response, I still think a character that isn't truly hated would be the best for FP11, (Bandanna Dee > Master Chief). The workers are still working but at home instead of inside the studio. This is nothing really special, a lot of studio like some Microsoft studio and Media molecule (probably others but this is what I know) let their workers work at home and game developement always goes smoothly.

My current thoughts/predictions on Vol. 2:

FP6 will be Crash Bandicoot from the Crash Bandicoot series. He will be announced at some point this month, and released by E3 2020.

FP7 will be Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series. He will be announced at E3 2020 alongside a Kingdom Hearts for the switch announcement, and released by the end of Summer 2020 or maybe the beginning of Autumn 2020.

FP8 will be a Gen 8 Pokémon from the Pokémon series. They may be announced at E3 2020, though they could also be announced later on in the year, perhaps at the same time as Sora’s release. They will release in Winter 2020.

FP9 will be Steve from the Minecraft series, being announced at TGA 2020, with a release planned for Spring 2021.

FP10 will be Ryu Hayabusa from the Ninja Gaiden series (may also be Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes or Dante from DMC), and will be announced at Steve’s release/Direct presentation. He will be released in the middle of Summer 2021.

Lastly, FP11 will be either Bandana Dee from the Kirby series or Waluigi from the Mario series. They will be announced at E3 2021 and released in October 2021, with Geno as a Mii Gunner costume.

Then Sakurai will take a vacation, though there is a small chance that Fighters Pass Vol. 3 is announced at one of the many directs/presentations.

As far as I know FE4 remake is just speculation and there wasn't any leak or rumour for that. For FE6/7 there was that article not long ago about a scrapped FE remake for the 3DS.

Tellius remake, I wouldn't say it's a leak but there are some things pointing to that. Basically all about Path of Radiance remake is covered in this video, maybe there's more info out there.

As I said this video isn't the usual leak, it's speculation based on some facts and 'hints'. If there's more info about a supposed FE9 remake besides this video, I have no idea about that.

Personally I'd rather have FE4 getting this treatment, I consider that FE4 deserves more a remake. I love Ike's games but these games are at least localized outside of Japan.
