Well Nintendo doesn't even consider Xenoblade X worth porting over Fire Emblem Idol Edition so I guess you can forget about Elma too.

Actually, the Xenoblade team wanted to port X but couldn’t due to problems when translating the Wii U gamepad-specific gimmicks or something like that.

Thing is, I want FP5's reveal shown before my college semester starts. Really hope that the wait doesn't mess up my mindset for school.

While I want them to reveal the new fighter before the semester, it probably won’t come out immediately.

IDK, it depends if Nintendo staff are off until the 6th next month. If that's the case, we'll almost certainly get the Direct on the 8th/9th.

-Amiibo theory(the only DLC theory that's been true) which suggests FP5 would be released in January.
-Major patches coming on average, every 2 months so last one was in Early November.
-It's more profitable for Nintendo to focus what's going on Post-Pass if there's another Season Pass.

Jokes aside (although that'd be a cool alt), one of my favorite moveset ideas is for the Tap Dancer Girl from Rhythm Heaven, and I gave her a moonwalk taunt. I should share that sometime; it's funny but also kinda genius. I mentioned once that her drowning animation should be throwing up jazz hands lol.

Her walking animation would be like:

I hype up Style Savvy and it deserves the praise, but y'all are sleepin' on Rhythm Heaven as well; the concept is just too good. I love me some dance fighting.

Kidding aside, you're right. Fighter 5 will almost certainly drop the day of the Direct. And I do have a character in mind even though i'm not entirely confident in it.

Both of the knights at the bottom (Dark Souls II Protagonist "The Bearer of the Curse" and Dark Souls Protagonist "The Chosen Undead") and the knight making the Y pose ( Solaire of Astoria) could functionally all be alternate costumes of each other since they share similar abilities and fighting style. The only real difference is that the protagonist are silent and solemn, while Solaire is jolly and chatty.

The knight at the top-left is Artorias, who got a bit of a spotlight due to the infamous "Google Leak", but still would be a valid choice due to being a Very Popular boss in a game series most noted for it's boss battles. An entire DLC expansion was dedicated to Artorias, he is kind of like Monster Hunter's Rathalos if he was player character sized. Plus he's got a badass wolf companion.

Despite never playing Dark Souls, Artorias as a character and as a design is really cool. In a game that's based heavily around the creatures/bosses rather than the player character (like Monster Hunter and Pokemon), having probably the most popular boss in Artorias to represent it would be a really cool idea, just like Pikachu represented Pokemon in the beginning and Rathalos represents Monster Hunter (as a boss fight)

I love Dark Souls to death, but I do think Chosen Undead would be one of the more boring choices from the series. The bosses and NPCs have always been the real stars of the show.

So basically quite a lot of **** will need to be remade to the point that they might as well remaster it?

I wonder if the Metroid Prime Trilogy will face similar difficulties because, while Prime and Echoes can go back to using regular controls, Corruption made heavy use of motion controls for a lot of things

The thing with the Chosen undead versus Solair discussion is that Solair is more limited in his moveset. So yeah, definitely Chosen Undead for me. Solair is "just" a faith build with sword while the Chosen Undead can be a jack of all trades, utilizing magic, pyromancy, miracles and also use an array of weapons.

While it may be off putting for some that Solair (as a potential skin) might fire White Dragon Breath or chug Chaos Fireballs, I'd still take it to get potentially multiple armor sets.

I don't know why Sakurai doesn't just drop a tease every month or so. Give the community something to chew on. Little things, like a color or a word, even. Could you imagine him just tweeting something like, "Smash could use more orange, don't you think?"

It'd be neat if we were given some silhouettes similar to how Street Fighter 5 handled DLC speculation in its early years.

And then it got worse with Google Theory.

The theory had a loophole that allowed it to survive E3 2019: there wasn't any evidence of anyone testing the name "Hero" before the blacklisting.
Artorias could have been removed due his name being part of a DLC pack.
DLC packs were known to trigger the Fighters' Pass ad.
It took Terry's inclusion to kill "Google Theory" and this is coming from someone who believed in the theory.
