Yeah, ain't no way in hell we're still getting this game by the end of year.Still no seven sirens release date
ok somthing is up
what’s taking them so long?
Yep, especially since I believe that the MLB 2k games are dead now.I think that MLB going multiplatform is something MLB wanted to have a bigger playerbase, probably not Sony themselves.
Yeah. I doubt that they would have a company get two reps in the Fighter Pass.I don't know guys. Having a Microsoft character when we already have Banjo? That is unlikely if we do believe in one rep per third party game company.
Microsoft has been putting their "exclusive" software on other platforms for a few years now. MCC just came out on Steam and they've been publishing for the Switch since it's release. Not that I necessarily doubt it, but what's the business sense in putting Halo on the Switch? To make Microsoft seem cool? If anything that hurts them because people will be like "Okay, get my Switch for some XBox stuff and as my companion system to the PS4/5 as my home console for the Sony exclusives".
Capcom has 3 reps in the game, as well as some Resident Evil spirits, a Monster Hunter boss, as well as four Assist Trophies. The "equal representation" is another fan rule that clearly doesn't apply here. If a company is willing to hand over their IPs, then anything goes.I don't know guys. Having a Microsoft character when we already have Banjo? That is unlikely if we do believe in one rep per third party game company.
We're talking about this issue only in the confines of the Fighter Pass itself.Capcom has 3 reps in the game, as well as some Resident Evil spirits, a Monster Hunter boss, as well as four Assist Trophies. The "equal representation" is another fan rule that clearly doesn't apply here. If a company is willing to hand over their IPs, then anything goes.
I also don't want 4th party characters in smash, but if we get one I'd be down for someone like Mike Tyson or Tony Hawk who have direct ties to gaming. No Spongebob, Harry Potter, Sheldon from Big Bang Theory, etc. I'd rather not open that door at all though or we'd just get buried in 4th party requests to the point where no video game characters are getting asked forNo newcomer in the indie direct, expected, but I had a tiny hope for Hornet.
Anyway, as I said several times in the past, while I don't support "4th parties" in Smash, I'm still open to them, as long as they are meaningful to the videogame market somehow.
What's so weird about a Star Wars trooper near Mario?

And looking for this image, I got exposed to a N64 series I kenw nothing about... Chameleon Twist. Looked for a couple of gameplay video of both 1 and 2, and while the series and the characters are completely unknown and obscure, the gameplay gimmicks (especially in the sequel) seem very interesting for a Smash moveset lol
I agree with what you said in your post, but to reiterate what others have said... the Microsoft/Nintendo partnership has reached such crazy levels that we wouldn't even be surprised by this anymore.or if it's simply MCC on Switch
I dont see how what I said doesnt apply still? Sakurai or Nintendo didn't come out and say only one company is allowed to be represented in the DLC.We're talking about this issue only in the confines of the Fighter Pass itself.
Considering I've had childhood rivalries about Halo vs Metroid, I would have laughed in your face if I was told this had a chance.I agree with what you said in your post, but to reiterate what others have said... the Microsoft/Nintendo partnership has reached such crazy levels that we wouldn't even be surprised by this anymore.
Be honest, all of you: would your younger selves have believed you if you told them this was a legitimate possibility?
Yea but it doesnt make sense to have two reps in the same FP. If we do include MC now then it would just screw it up for everyone involve. Microsoft wont take that risk since it would only damage them and Nintendo. They can still do it if its spirits or mii costumes but adding another as a fighter is a bad move.Capcom has 3 reps in the game, as well as some Resident Evil spirits, a Monster Hunter boss, as well as four Assist Trophies. I agree that it would be seen as Nintendo giving Microsoft "special treatment".Yea but it doesnt make sense to have two reps in the same FP. Fan rule.I don't know guys. Having a Microsoft character when we already have Banjo? That is unlikely if we do believe in one rep per third party game company.
But it COULD mean that, dammit. As I said many time before, a series getting a new game on the Switch does not mean that it will be represented in Smash.
While I have mixed feelings on a First Person Shooter rep if only because they'd be hard to implement well, I would not mind Chief at all since he's one FPS rep I can see working really well... also I'm playing Halo Reach off of Steam as I type this.I agree with what you said in your post, but to reiterate what others have said... the Microsoft/Nintendo partnership has reached such crazy levels that we wouldn't even be surprised by this anymore.

Then again, it is preferred that each fighter in the Fighter Pass is from a different company. That way, Nintendo will not be accused of giving any one company "special treatment".Fan rule.
Right, just like Dante is coming to Smash when DMC 3 releases on the Switch in February. But it COULD mean that, dammit.
Watch me speculate
It may be but you can't deny that it would make a bad move on either side. None of them will take this chance unless if its spirit, music or mi costume.Fan rule.
Nothings guaranteed, hence the "COULD"Right, just like Dante is coming to Smash when DMC 3 releases on the Switch in February.
Half of the posts talking about this are simply acknowledging it could be a port on Switch and nothing else. Please stop being a downer. As I said many time before, a series getting a new game on the Switch does not mean that it will be represented in Smash. This reminds me a lot of the time when you guys thought that FP5 would be Gordon Freeman from Half-Life.
You're only saying this because you're not the one working on the pass. The sole purpose of the pass is to sell money. Grab attention. So why in the blue hell would Nintendo or Sakurai look at Microsoft wanting Master Chief, and Banjo and say; sorry but we only allow one IP from each company. You're pushing a nitpicky fanrule as facts. And how exactly would it damage Microsoft and Nintendo? It would only show how their partnership is getting better?Yea but it doesnt make sense to have two reps in the same FP. If we do include MC now then it would just screw it up for everyone involve. Microsoft wont take that risk since it would only damage them and Nintendo. They can still do it if its spirits or mii costumes but adding another as a fighter is a bad move.
Exactly. That's why we should wait till the fifth fighter is announced and then we can discuss about MC. Agreed? That's a bit why I think Chief would fit as Post-Pass:
Because everyones chances will be refreshed by then so that opens the possibility of us getting another character from already repped companies, especially those in DLC.
I dunno about that. Sakurai has stated that this game is completely for the fans of the entire gaming industry. Nothing within the video game industry is outside of the realm of possibility for him. If anything, Chief getting in would maybe even entice Sony to give it a shot as well.It may be but you can't deny that it would make a bad move on either side. None of them will take this chance unless if its spirit, music or mi costume.
