I just, like, really want another Xeno rep and KOS-MOS is the only one that I think has a somewhat decent shot at making it after spirits disconfirmed the front-runners.

A Direct next month is not guaranteed, though. We also expected one January this year, and see how that turned out.

The big thing is that a wave of Amiibo launches next month, and as far as I can tell, we've always had a fighter come out the same month as an Amiibo wave.


Now that doesn't mean a 'general' direct, because it could just be a Smash presentation, but something is probably coming next month.

It's much more fun to be like, "Is it Lloyd? Doom Slayer? KOS-MOS?" than to be like, "C'mon Sakurai, give us Wolf back..."

I kinda dread Smash 6 since that one will have that complaint everywhere.

That leak is irrelevant to me.
Sabi and Vergeben are the tried and true leakers.
And they are both acting coy as **** over KOS-MOS.

As I've stated before - I really think they picked the exactly wrong time to do it (regardless of a reveal happening at VGA or not). Had this been A) more restrained and B) a couple weeks earlier there wouldn't have been nearly as much percieved fallout.

I'm gonna guess again here, it's probably 2B. She's the only major character that wasn't in Sabi or Verge's kill list. And also assuming what Sabi said about the character being one of the characters Verge purged during that wild night is true since it had SE on it.

I was watching Gamexplains FP5 speculation video from a month ago. Derrick's "pie in the sky" pick was KOSMOS. There's an odd sound bite edited into the video just as they start discussing KOSMOS at 9 minutes in. Interestingly enough in the more recent game awards prediction video KOSMOS is now Jon's prediction and no longer Derrick's. I don't know if these are intended to be hints or not.

KOSMOS was never a character I've wanted or found interesting. So I hope it's a different character.

I'd much prefer Ryu Hayabusa, Doom Marine, Lara Croft, Nightmare, Crash Bandicoot, Earthworm Jim, or Frogger.

FP5 revealed near the beginning of the show
BoTW 2 trailer near the mid point
Smash Ultimate orchestra with recreations of the main theme of each FP dlc fighter
Surprise reveal of the first post pass dlc fighter at the end of he orchestra

Basically, I'm expecting it to be like this year's Nintendo E3...
But tbh I don't even believe what I'm saying sooooo xD I really don't want to get my hopes up, but this would be pretty hype, not to mention that could mean one eastern rep (which I'm expecting to be KOS-MOS) and one western rep for the audience (putting my money on Doom Slayer for that one)

For me, it's all about the aesthetic. I already know any character that gets into Smash is going to be a ton of fun to play as and provide something unique in their moveset. So at this point it's more about the character's personality, their stage, their music, the overall style.

And honestly... KOS-MOS seems boring. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe she actually has a really fun personality and it won't just have your typical JRPG sci-fi aesthetic?

Giant-ass gun is something that's never been done, and the only other character I think that's been requested to fit that role is Team Fortress 2's Heavy,

Sabi hasn't said anything about her specifically other than them never backing Verg's "No Namco" directly

This is exactly why I´m not thrilled to say the least, to have Kosmos in Smash.
The character is kind of bland and is already an expy of a character that has dozens expies.
The aesthetic of those games does remind me of Tabuu though.

XB2's design is fine, imo.


Even though I think Verg's full of ****, if there's legitimate confusion about KOS MOS' legal standing, as he says, it may be because they're using her XB2 design which, while the character is owned by NAMCO, that design is specifically owned by Nintendo.


Think how Bayo doesn't belong to Nintendo but Bayonetta 2 does.

I don't see this design being worse than anything else we have in the game currently tbh. At most they'd need to add some black leggings ala Corrin/Mythra but this design is pretty modest as is. She's more or less fully armored in actual metallic armor and not cloth.
