Gordon Freeman is dead, which doesn't bode well for a Valve rep in general.

I know Kratos is the more likely Sony rep, and honestly I wouldn't mind if he made it, but I rather have Kat over Kratos.

I want a better use of gravity powers in Smash. Yeah that's right, I said it Rosalina, a BETTER use (you're still my favorite princess in Mario though).

Gordon, ArcSys, and Layton are out.

Disregarding them, and Geralt who I think has ambiguous origins, then I think the most likely from that lot for me are Kratos, A Sim, Maxwell, Cooking Mama, possibly Heavy, and maybe Saber.

Well my money's on Saber, Katalina (or another Granblue character apparently) and Chell with The Knight and Hornet as a backup.


Though I bet when the fighter is revealed we will be kicking ourselves over how obvious it was in hindsight.

At this point the only way we'll be doing that if it really is a Sony character.


I'd be lying if I said I didn't want Verg to be wrong once and for all, not because I don't want a Sony character, but because it would be arguably the biggest whiplash to ever occur.

I'm going to roll my eyes real hard to whoever says that fighter 5 was "obvious" and "predictable" all along after this whole circus show is finally done and over with...

Indie character seems the most likely in my opinion with Hollow Knight being the most feasible

Hollow Knight's literally all that's left aside from Quote.


If Shantae, Undertale, Shovel Knight, Touhou are all out, those two are legit the only things left.

I still say the wildest one was Cloud's reveal. Though while we're currently on a rollercoaster that failed safety inspections, that was akin to suddenly being launched by a trebuchet so it's debatable on whether that counts as a ride.

You'll notice that Treasure hasn't been deconfirmed yet. Clearly Sakurai saw my ballot pick and was like "I'm gonna make this one person very very happy" when he picked Marina Liteyears as fighter 5.

In seriousness, I'm leaning Sony or something crazy like an actual Disney character or James Bond.

It's a real shame that EA is, well, EA. Because that lineup is still really really strong. Hell, if they didn't toss away past games like a massive ragdoll they could pull music or even a stage from even Need For Speed and their sports lineup. They'd never put anything real like Messi or Brady into Ultimate, but I could see EA Sports getting something with an EA character.

Still, it might be for the best that they're keeping their distance from Nintendo. People would justifyably have a lot of questions to ask Nintendo if they let EA in.

Probably because Sakurai or CERO didn’t think not so good boys and girls would sexualize an anthropomorphic animal like they would a female human.
