Oh, and before I forget, I just remembered the color theory. While it's very possible that Cheese Pizza #5 could be represented with orange, I think that it
could just be a huge coincidence. First, Piranha Plant being "green", IMO, is a stretch as the "green" used for its thingy looks kind of blue-ish to me. SEcond, there's a slew of other colors yet to be seen for the DLC, such as black, white, brown, pink, a "greener" green, and so on. Additionally, orange wouldn't fit every potential newcomer. If it were someone like Travis, don't you think his background would be white or purple? Not saying that any fighter is in or that the background of #75 WON'T be orange, but what I am saying is that it doesn't have to be.
Also, regarding some of the previous comments translated from Soccerguy himself... (I know everyone in this jircleserk, myself included, knows these already, it's
ju
ust in case...)
"Adding more characters to the game means more game worlds will be added to the series... ...Even if the Super Smash Bros. series keeps moving forward, I doubt there will be an opportunity to bring this many characters together again, and so I want to keep improving on this record as much as possible..."
"When the original Nintendo 64 version of Super Smash Brothers was released, we were often asked, 'Who's Samus?' Whether or not a character is fun to play as is more important than whether they're new or old, or whether the character's recognizable to everyone."
So we can all agree on the point he made that "fun > relevancy", correct? However, I don't think that meant that importance or relevancy is a non-factor; it's just, like he said, not as important. Also, just because we're getting new series in the game doesn't mean that the rest of the DLC will be third party, let alone
exclusively third-party, or that there won't be DLC for series already represented *cough*.
