There's still A LOT of potential characters that haven't been hit by the wave of deconfirmations, including entire companies not represented in Smash. No reason to get stumped with such little info.
Eh, get used to him.

He has an entire wishlist composed of tiers and stuff. It's as if his main goal for speculation is just roster polishing. But...let's not get too personal.

As a Cameo. Saying otherwise is like saying Holo or Index are Disgaea characters or Dante an SMT character.
I'm SURE Platinum Games just HAPPENED to pick KOS-MOS over any other third party cameo unrelated to the Xeno series.
This is like Geno. Owned by Square Enix, but still a Mario character.
EDIT: I am a stupid, smooth brained, brain farting dunderhead.
Monolith Soft. Not Platinum. I promise I knew this, just had a brain fart.

Xenoblade is made by Monolith Soft, not Platinum Games.

Of course Geno's a Mario character, he originated in a Mario game. The Xeno games are not the same series no matter how much you want to say otherwise.

But Geno never had games that were completely independent from Mario or came before Mario’s existence.

Oh, and before I forget, I just remembered the color theory. While it's very possible that Cheese Pizza #5 could be represented with orange, I think that it could just be a huge coincidence. First, Piranha Plant being "green", IMO, is a stretch as the "green" used for its thingy looks kind of blue-ish to me. SEcond, there's a slew of other colors yet to be seen for the DLC, such as black, white, brown, pink, a "greener" green, and so on. Additionally, orange wouldn't fit every potential newcomer. If it were someone like Travis, don't you think his background would be white or purple? Not saying that any fighter is in or that the background of #75 WON'T be orange, but what I am saying is that it doesn't have to be.

Also, regarding some of the previous comments translated from Soccerguy himself... (I know everyone in this jircleserk, myself included, knows these already, it's juust in case...)
"Adding more characters to the game means more game worlds will be added to the series... ...Even if the Super Smash Bros. series keeps moving forward, I doubt there will be an opportunity to bring this many characters together again, and so I want to keep improving on this record as much as possible..."
"When the original Nintendo 64 version of Super Smash Brothers was released, we were often asked, 'Who's Samus?' Whether or not a character is fun to play as is more important than whether they're new or old, or whether the character's recognizable to everyone."
So we can all agree on the point he made that "fun > relevancy", correct? However, I don't think that meant that importance or relevancy is a non-factor; it's just, like he said, not as important. Also, just because we're getting new series in the game doesn't mean that the rest of the DLC will be third party, let alone exclusively third-party, or that there won't be DLC for series already represented *cough*.

Ugh. Do I really have to explain the obvious?
Within the Xeno series there are subseries. XenoBLADE, XenoGEARS, etc.
But they are all clearly under one tent.
The Mario series has subseries such as Mario Kart, Mario Party, etc. Even Luigi's Mansion, WarioWare, and such are under the Mario umbrella despite being separated by several layers.

It's not one tent. The guy just likes tossing Xeno in the titles. Hell, Xenoblade was originalling going to be titled "Monado: Beginning of the World". It only got changed as an homage due to Tetsuya Takahashi's work on Gears and Saga.

To quote a wise one:
Not at all comparable.
All Mario games share a franchise. Xeno games are only connected through being a meta series and aren't actually part of the same franchise.

Mario Party and Mario Kart aren't one series. They just like throwing Mario into games to market them.

WarioWare, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi are treated as separate series from Mario in Smash. For the most part, they have separate characters and worlds, just like the Xeno games. They still crossover with each other, just like Kos-Mos in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but besides that they can be treated considered separate series. If these series can be treated as different things in Smash, then I don't see why the same wouldn't apply to the Xeno games.

This is a fair argument. But I still think they'll stick to BRAND new worlds rather than something ambiguous.

I would rather not have KOS-MOS if it's possible but I can't deny that she has a decent chance and I could see Sakurai picking her. At the very least I would pick her over Reimu if the choice came down to those two.

Way too much effort, but:
Segata Sanshiro Fighter's Pack Concept.png

As mentioned before, the pack would be a love-letter to the Saturn.

And yes, I'm serious.
This is the kind of surprise reveal we need.

Ironcally, there is a chance that BOTH OF THEM are coming to smash.

Somewhere out there on this big blue marble
Needn't remind y'all what Sakurai literally said 3 WEEKS AGO at the Terry presentation lmao
"Doesn't matter if the character is unrecognisable, as long as they are fun to use, they can get in" :p
No, he said "Being recognizable isn't the only thing that matters". I'm this close to demanding a rule that has people pay me 5 bucks whenever they get that quote wrong
Probably a mistake of some sort. I tried it out with other censored words, and ass is the only one to just dodge it completely. If this is intentional, then it may be because the word can be used to describe a democra- er, I mean donkey.

Actually, I agree with that.

Good one.
Ass was simply removed from the swear filter, likely because Arse was never in the filter

So basically, characters don’t need high popularity. They need a good, recognizable character design, unique potential, distinctness from other smash characters, and adaptability into becoming a smash character.

Phoenix Wright's outlook might seem very bright but I also feel like people are forgetting Monster Hunter. Technically the hunter was never out of the running, Rathalos only came with himself and his spirit. It's almost as if the team was holding back on adding more Monster Hunter content since no other monster besides Rathalos got spirited, which seems very bare-bones.

After the Resident Evil cast got spirited this might not seem like a strong case anymore, but I believe there is a distinct difference between base game content and DLC content. With the base game the team could go all out and add who they want as spirits, and since Capcom is so easy to work with I'm surprised there aren't more monsters represented as spirits besides the one we got with Rathalos. RE on the other hand got spirits while in the DLC phase, the team has fewer employees working on the game as the DLC is being developed, and they still have to make the next stage and fighter. Of course this might not mean anything and Monster Hunter might get more spirits later on alongside the hunter mii costume, but the fact that it didn't happen yet leaves Monster Hunter as a possibility to consider.

Basically I'm saying don't sleep on Monster Hunter just yet, until the mii costume returns the series still has a shot at getting a playable fighter.
