Why haven't you suspected me before TBS posted?
as i tried to point out, i wrote that before i saw TBS's post

i was wondering if you were trying to divert suspicion from yourself by asking my opinion

@Fynal:

No, you already had attention on you.

And I wanted to know what you thought of Soup. He posted his vote third while his vote came before the reasons, not after.

if i think soup is scummy depends on how wrong i was in #465, which Ran asked about but didn't comment on

i don't really have a 3rd yet, TBS null again and i havn't had time to do my analysis of aa

@Fynal: So, you found JTB scummy enough to pressure him with a vote (L-1 doesn't matter) but now that the focus has swayed away from him, you do not list him as one of your scum picks?

Why is that?

@Kuz, Ran, Swords

I feel like Fynal was excessively flaily when he put JTB at L-1. His answers were all over the place and wern't thought out. Am I right to take this as scummy, or is it newbie null?

Noobscum. Gova pointed out Fynal knew that people would roleclaim at L-1, yet says he doesn't know how important it is.

And Kuz does bring up a good point, Fynal has forgotten about JTB now that he is on me with TBS.

Saw that kuz. +_+ You said Noobtown. Sup? Can you explain?

I don't really know...
That's true, Fynal is as quick to divert attention from himself as Ranmaru, but then again so am I, now I don't know if this is just how the game plays, but it is also because of his activity in the game, many players are also laying by the wayside, we must not forget about them.
I am stuck between you two, Ran and Fyn, however I will stay on Ran seeing as Fyn has a cooler image and Ran seems more shifty. But Fyn seems to be making more honest mistakes then Ran

:/. You say it's noobscum, but I'm not sure how the Gova point backs that up at all. Where does a non-thought out response align with what you're saying?

From a logical standpoint, couldn't he just be eager to get a lynch? Both town and scum would probably want that.

To be fair, I forgot about JTB as well since he hasn't posted in a while X.X

Its nub/nubtown.

If Fynal was scum, his buddies would have told him to respond in a clam manner when he was being pressured like that. As complete nubtown he would certainly feel pressured if not flat out nervous when votes were starting to get placed on him. He responded frantically in an attempt to rectify his position which is null for both factions. Something about it struck town with me though.

@AA, According to Sword, you're a smart kid. :p. What do you think could be the potential cons of ending the Day early if you're town. Same thing if you're the one to hammer as scum.

NO ONE ELSE ANSWER AA'S QUESTION.

Well take into account Fynal suspecting me after TBS voted me. I have said I thought the roleclaim excuse was bs.

It's just odd he suspected me after Tbs posted a vote on me.

This sounds like a defence of Fynal, yet JTB has been posting less and hasn't even pushed for me. He asked first to wagon me before doing anything.

Ran, you're completely ignoring the question I asked you and just saying nubscum. I don't like this at all.

"I feel like Fynal was excessively flaily when he put JTB at L-1. His answers were all over the place and wern't thought out. Am I right to take this as scummy, or is it newbie null?"

You're not even addressing the right situation, you're looking at now rather than what I asked, when Fynal voted JTB.

Seems like you're taking any excuse to just say he's scum.

@Seikend:

Take him as null then. Why do you feel you need to ask about Fynal instead of asking him questions yourself?

as i tried (and it seems failed) to explain some number of posts back, i had no thought out reasons for why JTB was scum, just vague scum suspicion. I figured i'd pressure him, see how he reacted, and form a solid opinion based on his reactions. previous posts (ironically i think one was by JTB) had led me to believe that this was a legitimate use of pressure

@whoever it was, i knew what a roleclaim was only by name, read it in a basic description of a hammer vote. I thought it meant "someone is forced into a corner, claims a role PM, and then people argue over it's legitimacy and if the victim is lucky the clamor dies down". I.E. discussion causer, not futile last ditch before lynch. Once again, i was trying to get new discussion of JTB going that i could form a solid opinion over

holy balls another 10 posts after i wrote this. yes kuz i am(was) answering

i don't know how to say this more clearly ran, I hadn't read TBS's accusation of you when i posted

I was half-responding to Ranmaru's last question. I just want to learn more about the game psyche.

Just to make it clear, I'm null on Fynal, can't see a genuine reason to vote him that isn't weakened or fully nullified by the fact that he's new to mafia, though that may be subject to change, depending on how he continues to respond. I don't think he voted without basis, nor do I think he was convicted in his vote, but according to you and Ran, this is mainly a nub thing.

@kuz, I honestly can't answer without knowing more about the structure of the game - are Day/Night periods fixed? I'm genuinely confused.

I wasn't sure whether my scumtell was legit or not.

Kuz is town for me currently, Swords is null.

I asked their opinions on the matter to judge whether it is or not. Still waiting on Sword's reply before I make the call.

I just asked you to see if you were being opportunistic. Based on your response it seems like you were.

I see Ran as scum.

@AA, Town wants as much information on the table as possible. Games are won with a strong LYLO/MYLO performance and its always really important to read back through the thread during late game to pick up on player connections or lack thereof. By ending the Day early (early at the point where there was certainly not enough discussion for a few individuals), this reflection process is hindered. Town should be entirely set with everything they want answered before ending the Day.

are Day/Night periods fixed
Day length differs per game. One Day is 12 days in this one. It can be ended early by lynching someone. Nights are 2 days long iirc. That, or when everyone sends in their specific Night Action, the mod may end the Night early.

Alright, so it's information gathering. I had an inkling of that.

In that case, scum would aim to end the day early, right? I would use that to point a finger at Fynal, but again, the newbie card trumps it, since I'm pretty sure he's at the same point as me concerning mafia (ie clueless).

There will be severe backlash the next Day upon someone who prematurely hammers or puts the person at a questionable lynch number before the Day is ready to end. In a newbie game such at this, I am afraid some town player might recklessly hammer due to not knowing better and then we may have a tough situation on our hands the next Day figuring out if it was a scummy hammer or just nub-town. Also, in this type of game, nubscum can get away with things like that because they can play the nubcard.

So yes, scum want to end the Day as early as possible, but they want to do it in a way that garners them the least attention. These two goals usually does not coincide with each other.

Interesting.

Seikend, do you believe that the people you have listed as scumpicks are scum due to things they have done individually, or do you see some connections between them?

So after that pressure that you assumed would give you a better read on his alignment, what have you determined? You fail to mention your overall read on his alignment.

@kuz

I think he could be scum, but I'm not really sure. He's deflecting the attention from him, but not as much as people are saying, and I don't see why he would do that in a nub game, where a good portion of players will bandwagon on that established suspicion rather than thinking any deeper into the content of his deflections.

He's pushing for Fynal a lot, but I can see some reasoning behind his push, so it isn't just mindless deflecting there.

Perhaps FoS, and not even a strong one at that.

Lelouch is pissing me off and making want to vote kuz

Yeah Avatars are an important aspect to Mafia.

What do you feel about my avi? :o

I find that Aussie has a level head, but I find it odd he isn't suspicious like the others.

AA, can you explain how everyone is over-reacting to me? Why do you think they think I'm shifting suspicion hard off me? (I can be wrong at times and I will admit my faults) [Right now I'm shifting attention to myself, by asking your thoughts on me]
