My case on Marathon was literally one paragraph preceding a vote on him, and can be just as easily attributed to inactivity + skimreading as it could to lurking. It was more a FoS thing than anything, I just dislike FoS's. Your case on Ori is more solid than mine on Marathon. Planning for the worst case scenario, a mislynch on Ori is far more beneficial than one on Marathon.

I'm addressing Marathonman a lot, but honestly, I can't go anywhere with a player who doesn't respond despite constant pressure and me bumping questions specifically directed at him. Until he responds (and I don't see that happening for a couple days), I'm sitting pretty here.

Hmm, I suppose I find AA the most suspicious for pushing a case that he admits is very weak.

Applying pressure? It's merely pressure to talk. Maybe half or more of your posts directly address me in some way. I don't have any particularly strong reads either, aside from maybe Serin town and perhaps Sold town, but I still post a bunch.

Any reason you come back and address me like that only when the pressure's been pushed onto me? Interesting that you're suddenly here and pushing hard on me as soon as you feel I'm a plausible lynch. I would even go so far as to say it's suspicious.

This is not how the game works. You're not supposed to wait for a case to appear out of the thin air or for somebody to randomly slip and get caught. How do you expect this game to work? Do you think you will find the mafia when you just go by your "feelings" without having much of a case? You're supposed to actively look out for things and dig deeper into it by questioning posts and figure out if the poster behind it is being genuine or not. The way you play it you make it an entirely chance based game.

If you bother to take a closer look at this game you will realize that this is part of the reason why people are suspicious of you.

Okay, I guess I misunderstood then. I responded to your post the way I did because I didn't get the impression your pressure was just about getting me to talk. Like I said earlier, I usually find it easier to respond to people specifically rather than post out of the blue. And you said you're not pushing me because you're not trying to get votes on me, yet you say that I am pushing you. I've responded to you the same way the whole game.

Marathonman, you could also start being more vocal about who you believe to be scum by now. If people just keep on tunneling 1 or 2 players based on 1 or 2 cases we might find ourselves running out of leads toMorrow. Most of the people here are rather unclear about their lynchpool and their reasoning. If people think Day 1 is as important as they mentioned in their earlier posts then I don't see why you're being so stingy with information and stances.

I'd have to go back and check. I'm sure I did. But my vote's been on him because he's said a lot of dumb things. A lot of things he says sound good but have one or two sentences I'd call anti town in it and his motives are really questionable.

@Ori, you there, bro? This is exactly the kind of thing that worries me. Lynch sitting on someone, like Ori, the entire day, and then when everything shifts away near the last second, he just says something like "where are you guys going?" and then shuts up.

Honestly, I want to lynch Ori at this point. I've excused a lot of things assuming he might truly be busy or something, but I can't put this much trust on someone for longer than a day phase. He started off as a player who seemed extremely active and wanting to say whatever he felt, but take right now for example, he's missing at a crucial part of the day phase. I don't like the sudden attention shift that occurred. I don't want this day phase to end unorganized.

AA doesn't feel like a good D1 lynch to me. I do get scumvibes from him, but I also feel the longer he lives the easier it'll be to read him and that he'll be potential helpful later.

My bad. I used the word push in a different sense. There's the use of the word for 'advocate his lynch', and then the word 'force pressure upon'. It's my fault for using ambiguous terms.

I don't even know what to think anymore. I don't think I've once advocated Marathon over Ori, and I can't even think of a reason why I'd do that. Are you saying I should push a lynch with no significant substance over someone else's proposed lynch, which I think is more valuable to town? If Ori goes today, then I probably will push Marathon tomorrow, but for now he isn't my first priority.

I agree a lot with the points on him you brought up, but those points make me want to vote him as the D1 lynch. I think this pretty much summarizes how your approach to this game is faulty. You choose to follow somebody else's case over your own observations. If everybody were to play like that there would always be only one existing case on one player until a "better" case comes up. Why do you choose to take my case - the case of a player you know nothing about - to be more trustworthy than what you've initially found to be worth pursuing had it not been for the "other" case? Didn't I tell people that there's no necessary correlation between being right and being pro-town? A case that makes sense doesn't have to be pro-town unless you yourself come up with it [because you're the only one you know to be town]. By following me instead of trying to go deeper towards a Marathonman case you've decided that your own benefit [even if it's only a trivial thing such as laziness] is worth more to you than the attempt to find the mafia. That's backwards.
