Weekends are good for me, Sundays usually. But evening fests make me a happy person :)

whats gud NJ! im in the bergen area but will commute to newark if theres a good smash venue. its like 10 dollars to take the train. so where is everybody playing at??? im new to the jersey smash scene. dont leave me in the dark yall >_<

Ok since it's still the first week of the semester, I wanna take this time to see which day would be best to hold smash fests....

right now, it's looking like wednesday afternoons are the best for me...and then like every other weekend, too, for the bi-weeklies.

I got classes all day on mondays, so i dunno if i can host then...



Anyway, the biggest issue right now is the place we have these...I don't know of any public place we can go to, and if we have it in my building like last semester, there arises the issue of being able to sign people in...so we may not start up official smashfests for a bit until we have this figured out.

KSO, are any of your smashfests gonna be over night?? like a STD (SmashTillDawn) lol cuz id love to go regularly but its definitley 10 bucks one way to newark from me an i would hate to spend 20 dollars jus to play smash for a day.

You should try to get a ride then.

That way it'll be cheaper. It'll be difficult to keep these going all night so I wouldn't bet on it happening anytime soon.

yup it would definitley be cheaper having a ride. as far as no johns i prolly could find a ride there because its in nanuet ny so anybody coming from jersey would have to pass my area, kinda sorta. well if u know anybody else besides that doyoung guy then shoot em my way

I signed up REALLY late T_T.

Oh, if someone's free Wednesday you should definitely play me in melee for like a bit.... I only have one class that day AND it got cancelled =D

since you are haley are residents, I don't have to sign you guys in, but I will have to sign in anyone who isn't an NJIT resident, and I can only sign in 3 ppl -_-

so yea i guess if we have a smashfest at my place we will need more than 1 setup

We have a second TV, but I will need to check as to whether or not it actually has RCA ports lol...I will let you guys know tomorrow when I get back to school. Hopefully no one will have to bring more TVs (unless they want to of course :) )

Ok, so far, it looks like we have

1 full setup
1 TV (unsure if it needs coaxial-rca converter or not)

annnd yea thats it for my place lol if people want to bring setups, it would be greatly appreciated.

And for attendance, i'm just going to keep track of non-NJIT residents for the sake of knowing how many people I'm expecting to sign in. Please let me know if you can come ahead of time either by posting in this thread or by calling/texting me. If you show up unannounced, there is no guarantee i will be able to get you into the building, as much as I'd like for everybody to just be able to waltz on in there and play some ****ing melee haha :laugh:

Parking - You can find parking at the curb close to the building where you turned into the road (you will see a sign that says you can't park between 12am and 6am, which should not be a problem). There is also meter parking on warren street just a block away.

Nice! my friend from rutgers newark lives in the UC so we could probably get together and play sometime.

Also, if someone brings a cube, we can get 2 setups going. I have confirmed that the second tv has RCA plugs in the back.
