That's right, Snake just got a bit more broken. I call this the CDR, for Cyper Destruction Recovery. Here's how I beleive it works. Snake uses his Up-B. If the Cypher is attacked after he lets go of it, he gains his recovery back. The game registers this as a hit against Snake, and lets him use it again. This is demonstrated by Snake hitting the Cypher with a Nikita. This AT could be good for team matches, so have your partner destroy your Cypher after you let go of it. Experiment with it, and have fun!

Normally, I don't even use Snake, but when this occured during a random CPU beatdown, I just had to share it.

Neato!

It's almost impossible to recreate it though. D:
Well, it's more of the concept than actually recreating what happened in the video. This was just the extremely awesome way I did it, the Cypher can be destroyed by pretty much anything, or other people.

So basically, you're saying that as long as the cypher is destroyed, he'll get his Up-B back, right? But it has to be an attack that destroys it, you can't just let go under a person, have it hit them, and get an Up-B back?

Interesting. I don't see how this will work in a 1vs1 match, but nice find.

Looks like kirby footstooled him while he was magnified using the Cypher ... Kirby poped up at foot stool height. Has nothing to do with the Nikita... Just the old footstool snake in cypher thing too.

No kirby wasnt above snake to footstool him >_>... kirby spiked him thats y he popped up cuz when u spike someone u pop upwards and he jumped equalling the upwards motion. Snake's cypher exploded from his nikita not a footstool.

Err... You don't pop up when spiking someone. Kirby foot stooled snake...

Snake gets double cypher from getting footstooled while cyphering... So kirby foot stooled him... That height is footstool height

You don't pop up when spiking...

Kirby foot stooled in the magnifying zone... You just have to footstool snake anywhere in his cypher you just happened to footstool him here in the magnifying zone at the very beginning.

Kirby doesn't bounce up while spiking people. It's a foot stool. If kirby did bounce up like you say then it's a foot stool or a double jump.

I think I see it.... Kirby either did 2 jumps with 1 jump animation, or that was a footstool xD
Foot stool has to be, There's no know way to do two jumps with one animation. Especially if you look closely at kirby he doesn't puff up like he was double jumping.

And also none of Kirby's 1 double jumps puts him that high... So sadly for snake this is just the old Foot stool double cypher glitch that everyone constantly reports...

I disagree with that. One of my friends reported that he Falcon Punched the Cypher, and Snake got his recovery back.

nope sure doesnt sadly

@ref
It was a double jump not a foot stool I did this chypher destruct my friend had marth spiked me

Its just difficult to do cuz u my miss with the nikita.
It doesn't have to be a Nikita, you know. That was just the example. If a Falcon Punch works, I'm sure a lot of other attacks work too.

No. It was a footstool.

Series of events:

Kirby d-air spike
Snake meteor cancels the dair with his up-b
As Snake STARTS the up-b, Kirby footstools him.
When Snake's up-b ends, he gets it back, due to double cypher footstool glitch.

How do I know?
1) None of Kirby's jumps bring him that high, except his full hop and footstool.
2) It was Kirby's footstool animation, which includes a flip. None of Kirby's regular air jumps include a flip
3) It makes sense. We have no other video proof that this was due to destroying the cypher. However, nobody can disagree that footstooling a Snake while he is cyphering will give him his cypher back. We even have somebody saying that it didn't work, but we have no proof of that either.

u didnt see that anywhere because it doesnt exist. it was a simple footstool recovery glitch, u can see it clear as day. no need to discuss this one.

That's strange, I've gotten reports of this working, too. Namely, with a Falcon Punch. Perhaps the attack has to cause a sort of explosion to make this happen?

thats a good one of the player could actually manage to blow up his own cipher perhaps if after being attack as you are flying close to out of the stage(obviously at a high percentage) you use that distance to kill some of the lag on using the nikkita (say for instance you are hit off to the right side of the screen, as you are still traveling before you are able to regain control and come back to the stage as your are flying off the screen start you nikkita saving you much vertical loss) and angle it to hit your cipher as you are approaching the stage... if that worked it might actually be a good recover for distance getting rid of c4 tricks and saving damage (but only for horizontal recovery not no vertical)

for a vertical recovery maybe use a grenade , do the short toss (when pulling the control towards snake) aim the cipher at the grenade and if time good enough the grenade could land on top of the cipher if you aim the cipher at the grenade...
