Well it is an arcade game and it's a lot easier to press 3 big buttons in arcade than 3 small buttons on a controller. I think it was default, but I have Medium and Heavy on L2 so that when you use a special or X Factor it's a lot easier and faster (works well in a good match, not spammed Unibeams)
I know how you feel about cheating tho, I vowed not to use the C Stick before I realized it's good for Aerials (esp Upair) and CC'd DSmash.

Edit: Sorry, L2 on Light and R2 on Med+Heavy

@sw96:
Do tell :3

Pressing two buttons at once ruins some of the flow, though. A fifth special could be simply holding the button or tapping it, to not make it awkward button combos. Would have to be decided on an individual basis for all the characters
......

Pressing two buttons ruins the flow? R+A and L+A anyone?

Please tell me the is argument isn't serious.

You might as well make the game go by only one input. That means no Fairs, Bairs, Uairs, Dairs, Ftilts, Dtilits, Utilts, etc. because doing more than one thing at the same time ruins the flow.

IN other news, I hope they never add "Zig Zag" attacks from Street fighter

I can't figure out how to Yoga Teleport. I've done it a couple of times only
It's not really that hard.

Wait until you see the backwards shoryuken input.
Donkey Kick :awesome:

you know what pisses me off?
They already made the console (as we can see, we have pictures), and the console will be available in 2012 - 2013 IF NOT 2013 - 2014.
You know what pisses me off?
When people can't tell what prototypes and what a display model is.

I am just waiting for someone to mod a GCN controller for WiiMote support. >.<

:phone:
This would be amazing.

As I corrected, it wasn't the zig zag. for some reason my controller won't recognize me pressing all 3 hit buttons at the same time or something.

I think he means the face buttons, not shoulder or Joystick

Donkey Kick :awesome:

That's not RDP, I thought it was RQC...well I haven't played it in a while.

This would be amazing.

They gotta make a GCC for SSB4

I had trouble at first when I went to my arcade stick. It's a little practice, but after that, it's super easy.

You know, with how many Square/ Mario crossovers there have been, why HASN'T a Square character been in smash yet?

Mario Sports, Ikata street (Whatever)...

I recommend buying a stick then.

You should mutli-quote. It makes things a lot easier to address.

Anyways, to face buttons isn't hard at all. I find pressing X+A (I do it a lot in my matches in Brawl) at the same time, easier than doing the Shoryuken.

I had trouble at first when I went to my arcade stick. It's a little practice, but after that, it's super easy.
I'm too much of a SF Derp to do it consistently. I have to do it really slow, until my cousin comes and shows me up. He's played with Justin Wong before.

Sadface.

They were all addressed to you tho :O and I had a multi quote a page back but I collapse mine

I didn't say they were hard, but I'm sure that's what Musical Rum meant. By X+A you mean doing Aerials right away right? It's not really pressing them at the same time, you have to jump first (unless I'm wrong, I never tried pressing them at the same time, I attack a split second after).

A fifth special would be interesting tho (A+B). I'm guessing it would be another "extra" type of special like DownB (Neutral is neutral, UpB brings you up and Side B brings you forward)

He has to; there's no reason not to do that.

:phone:
That's great then! I was asking because I was worried Sakurai might've seen him perfect the way he was in Melee...

But, now, maybe I don't worry about that. :)

I still secretly hope that he'll be at least be a middle weight if he comes back LIKE HE SHOULD'VE BEEN IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Really? You can automatically SHNair with Fox in Melee? SH (2 frames of jumpsquat) and then Nair?

I dunno about 5 frames, but I always jump first I don't need to automatically start frame of the attack. Plus, there are people who can ShineDash and that's some pretty fast button work.
I didn't know that about Brawl tho, but I never had trouble with the way I use Aerials.

The the heck would a sixth special work????

:phone:
If A+B was a fifth special, then UpA+B, SideA+B and DownA+B :awesome::awesome:

I'm using the aerial thing as an example but continue on with what you are saying. Waveshining is easier, considering you are using both hands and all different controller parts, B button, Analog stick, and trigger button.

When are you going to post your Adventure Mode concept, Omega? I'm still waiting. :p

Anyways, for Adventure Mode, how about we have secret levels in some of the stages? The secret levels are basically platforming challenges and obstacle courses - reach the finish and you get a reward of some sort before returning back to the normal level at a different, farther point.

The secret levels could even be Board the Platform levels; after you complete one of these hidden Board the Platform courses, you unlock them as a Stadium mode for all characters.

Also, to relate this idea to Hex's story and whatever Omega's ideas are, the levels could be a conglomeration of either previous stages the player has completed, or even elements of the franchise of the chosen character. For example, for a Mario secret level, it could be designed like one of the secret courses from Super Mario Sunshine (starts at 1:25). For a Lip secret level, it could involve her jumping across a long stretch of falling Panel de Pon blocks to reach the finish.

In addition, since Master Hand and/or Crazy Hand are designing these courses, for a unique graphical trick, the courses will build themselves as the player moves through them. As the player runs across one platform, a new platform fades in and so on. This shows a piece-by-piece thought process of Master Hand and Crazy Hand.

Heck, even the Crazy Hand alternative scenarios idea I suggested earlier could work here. The player is almost done with a level when Crazy Hand decides to lengthen it by double it's length all of the sudden.

ShineDash/WaveShine You have to skip from Down B to WaveDash, which is tricky to use consecutively as a combo since you'd have to Reflect pretty damn quick (skipping from B to X)
Then again I'm not good with Fox, but the action is pretty faced paced.
When I do Aerials, skipping from Y to A is a lot quicker since my thumb is on both so I'm pretty sure I do them around 5 frames more or less.

@y.toonlink: Yea, but it sounds complicated to do, how about a D-pad instead of four taunts I guess.
:phone:
You'd have to lose control of the Joystick for a split second tho, making it even more complicated for using them in the air. I doubt we'll get more than 4 specials, but it'd be pretty interesting to see another one.

I know I'm prolly gonna be disappointed with all 1player affairs on SSB4.... so I look to the roster to be good. Because that's what I spend time doing: multiplayer.

Honestly, I felt Subspace Emissary was so awful, that I'd be pleasantly surprised with pretty much anything that they might do for Smash 4's Adventure Mode.

I think 4 player should happen. And it should work like modern platformers, where whoever's in front gets camera focus. No more putting the focus on player 1 and having player two be the pet dog who follows him around.

Your first post!!

Anyway, I'm working on a Adventure Mode concept script, some ideas would be helpful, Java already provided lots of them.

So true.

Interestingly, I think I get excited for Adventure Mode more than any other part of the game - characters, stages, multiplayer, etc. Heck, I'm just more interested in improving the single-player modes of the game than the multiplayer modes. Probably because I'm a loner casual fan. :p

If I were making SSB4, I'd have to get someone else to to take over the multi-player portion of the game, since my focus would be on single-player and Vault modes.

Agreed. Since the Wii U can support up to five controllers when including the Wii U controller and four Wii controllers, we should also get five-player multiplayer just for fun.

Anyways, regarding Trophy Diorama mode, SSB4 should provide the multiplayer stages as backdrops for trophies. It would basically be viewing the stage in a different mode - doesn't sound all that hard, and it would greatly increase the range of backgrounds we can use.

Ooh, making a background out of trophies hmm? I like, i like. Even better is, in addition to that, we have it so you can have the backgrounds you have on viewing trophies in brawl ina stage. You know, how you can make it a starry night or so n in brawl?
