Very hard to predict something about SSB4...

It's funny, everyone keeps talking about Retro's new game while forgetting that Monolith Soft also have been working on a project about as long (if not longer) than Retro. From what I know Monolith Soft were some of the first to get a dev kit.

While we're at it, curse my broke status... I still need save up the money to get Star Fox 3D, Kid Icarus, KH3D, and a few others. Now I have to start saving up for a friggen WiiU. Ahg.

@Dittolicious: Mewtwo is as popular as people say he is, if not more so.

In an IGN poll held April of last year which had over ten million votes, Mewtwo was #2 out of all Pokemons. Lucario was in the 30s whereas Zoroark was in the 60s. The only Pokemon that beat Mewtwo was Charizard.

You can imagine that tons of people wants to see Mewtwo back.

I will never understand why Mewtwo is so popular. I may be a '90's kid' but I don't seem to hold the same love for him that everyone else does. *shrug* To each their own. With what you've told me, I have no doubt he'll be back.

We've known about Monolith Soft working on a Wii U title since June of last year. I think that is enough time for them to have something to show at this years E3. By the job listings from last year it sounds like it is an RPG again.

Monolith is working on something? I'm glad to hear they are doing stuff for the WiiU, then. I recently started playing through XenoSaga and they have done great work on it along with Xenoblade.

Another point about Monolith Soft's Wii U project. Monolith Soft really going all out on taking advantage of the fact that this new system is HD. They are trying to deliver something on par with Fallout and other Western developed games so as to show that they have the ability to deliver the same quality environments that Western developers have come to be known for. Personally to see something like they achieved with Xenoblade Chronicles maximized to take advantage of the power of the Wii U would probably result in another critically acclaimed title. Heck, just make it Xenoblade Chronicles II.

As for E3 predictions, I'll throw some out there since Starphoenix asked nicely.

For the Wii U, I expect a lot of focus on the console and what it can do. I also expect the Nintendo Network to receive much more detail. Hopefully it will rival PSN.

As for Wii-U games, I do expect a Retro game, but I'm currently expecting a new IP. Also currently expecting Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and lots of focus on third-party games. Currently doubting anything on Smash 4 at this point.

For 3DS, I don't know and I don't really care. I'm probably not going to buy it the 3DS anyway, unless we get a new Custom Robo/Star Fox/F-zero on it.

I'm also looking forward to the newly announced Donkey Kong Country and Star Fox segments that Video Games Live has confirmed for their E3 show. Wouldn't be surprised if they got some extra game footage or announcements again.

Just so people are clear what is being played at video games live is just music. It has nothing to do with actual games at E3. None of Nintendo's franchises have been confirmed for E3 but Pikmin and Mario.

What's wrong with the Star Fox/Metroid crossover? I know a lot of people don't want that, is their any particular reason why? It's sounds kinda cool IMO, though I haven't really played Metroid.

The story sounds like it is fanfiction, the gameplay elements sound very forced and random, and the crossover to begin with makes little sense even by Nintendo's standards.

At the most VGL gets some extra game footage not found in the main trailers, but only two of their many segments have done that (Sonic and Starcraft).

And yes Earthbound. TT said it several times during the show's they streamed online (which I told you all about BTW). Doesn't mean they'll have it anytime soon though, heck it took them 6 years to get Pokemon, they've been saying Smash for years now too.

I guess them both being 'space games' isn't enough for them to be crossovers. I'll just wait and see what they show us before I make any real judgement.

It's sounds like their will be a good load this year, either way. Lots of good/interesting games.

Last I recall it was Tecmo who pushed for that one. Secondly, Game Freak/The Pokémon Company have quite a bit of say over the direction of the Pokémon franchise.
