New Smash Bros for WiiU

It seems that the Kami trio's alternate forms are known as the "Sacred Beast" forms. Anyway, maybe on some rare occasions, if either Tornadus, Thundurus, or Landorus gets released from a Poke Ball, they'll take on their Sacred Beast form, instead of their basic Incarnation form.

As if having a white dragon with blue eyes and a black dragon with red eyes wasn't enough, they use the same title for a trio of Pokemon as a trio of Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters?

This is why we ignore traditional ideas. They aren't fit for Smash. HP is barely fit for Smash.

I don't ignore traditional fighter ideas entirely. It's just I don't think "hey, that works in Street Fighter; it should work in smash." Instead, I think "maybe that thing from Street Fighter could work in Smash. But if it does, it would have to do this, this, and this." Also, HP bars fit in smash. It's called stamina mode and boss fights.

I cant take those new forms seriously, the mustaches are just so out of place and yet are so awesome.

It's nice to see the past Gym Leaders and Elite 4s return as well. Too bad they don't get any redesigns like the past FE characters.

Yeah, those new forms are pretty cool, but not super serious looking. I kinda like that approach. Not everything needs to be super serious in Pokémon. Some things can still stay toon-ish. Well, the Sacred Beast aren't cartoony, but they got a certain "not super serious" feel to them a bit.

Also Triple Dash, past Gym Leaders, Elite 4 Members, and Champions are returning=??? Which ones=???

Rumble Falls in Project M is amazing. It's basically a Battlefield layout (two platforms on the side), but with a lot more room, and pretty much the same bottom "main" platform from Rumble Falls. Oh, and the stage doesn't move. It's pretty fun to play, especially teams and free for all's! It actually allows me to listen to the great music on the stage!

Balanced Brawl's version of Rumble Falls ain't bad either. It still is a moving stage, but it moves slowly at a constant basis. The same goes for Mushroomy Kingdom (moving slowly) in Balanced Brawl. 1-1 of Mushroomy Kingdom is great in Balanced Brawl. It's pretty much the Rainbow Cruise of heavy/ground characters. 1-2 is okay, but it still fills cramped.

Yeah I saw a video with their Rumble Falls, it rocks! That would have been perfect for Brawl.

@Johnknight: Take a look at Serebii. Looks like all of them, but only the Kanto ones have been shown off so far.


Looks like the anime is getting an upgrade as well. Looks like Dawn may return and join the group again. Cynthia will return and get a redesign. Also looks like both Lucario and Riolu will make major appearances as well (maybe Ash finally catches one?).

Also, that's cool news. Makes me really hyped for this.

And I'm not surprised about Lucario. Everything ever has to involve Lucario all the time. That is part of why I don't think Lucario is leaving Smash.

All we got is Sakurai visited Platinum Studios (the same company making Metal Gear Rising), Sakurai posting something on Twitter about it, and Sakurai being interviewed by IGN.

Basically, one curve ball (everything about Platinum Studios; I sense a Metal Gear stage concept), and a bunch of "usual" news.

Edit: I just had a thought for another reason for patches: LOAD TIMES! A lot of these Brawl mods fix the long load times Brawl suffers from. Patches that do this are welcome in my eyes without any hesitation. That, is unless they have "side effects" on the game (as if they were drugs).

Maybe these Brawl mods remove the "Masterpiece" games (which are literally the full games, but without the ability to save), though, which take up a lot of memory.

I'm the same way on the ignoring part. But it has to be tweaked most of the time.

Er... no they don't. Outside of Bosses, but that's not regular gameplay. And remember, not every boss uses HP, just ones that are too big or are unable to really "fight" like normal.

Stamina Mode was fun, but is even more unbalanced than the current versions. Unless they ban Fox and Falco(and items) from it, then it's somewhat balanced.(yes, they pretty much break the Stamina mode, although that's fairly obvious) The game's design was made to knock people off, not reduce their meter to 0. Hence, it doesn't translate terribly well outside of what I mentioned earlier. Unless one thinks that Master Hand should be refixed a little to work on any stage and should be playable, then never mind.

Yeah it's not easy to take the Kami trio seriously when their faces look rather humorous. Humorous or not though, they do have the power to back them up.

Nowadays, Dry Bowser is treated as a separate entity. Why that is is unclear, but one theory could be that Bowser made a model of his skeleton, and had someone bring it to life.
