On the topic of changing Final Smashes, I can see Sakurai giving new ones to characters more liberally than he would give characters new moves, simply because a new Final Smash doesn't alter a character's core playstyle as heavily.

I want new Final Smashes all around (typed this up on a coffee-fueled craze that should've been put toward homework):

Mario: Flagpole (Mario drops down a flagpole, and fireworks blast foes. Basically like Mario Finale, but with a bit more Mario-ness added.)
Luigi: Poltergust Panic (Releases various Ghosts and Boos that have a variety of effects.)
Peach: Anger Vibe (From Super Princess Peach. Basically a transformation FS that makes her heavier and faster.)
Bowser: Giga Bowser (Even though I want to change it to something that better reps Bowser's role in the Mario franchise, this works just fine.)
Link: Sacred Skyward Strike (Like Triforce Slash, but can ensnare multiple targets. Link points the Master Sword skyward before attacking.)
Toon Link: Wind Waker (Summons a massive hurricane with debris.)
Zelda: Power of the Goddesses (Draws in opponents that are in range, then does lots of damage and sends victims flying horizontally.)
Sheik: Light Arrow (Same as Brawl.)
Ganondorf: Beast Ganon (Works just fine.)
Fox: Landmaster (Yeehaw. Limit its flying abilities a bit to give the Arwing more air advantage.)
Falco: Arwing (Landmaster of the sky. Muuuuuch faster, but lower firepower.)
Wolf: Starwolf Airstrike (Calls on members of Team Starwolf to attack the battlefield. Also fun banter.)
Ness: PK Starstorm (Good as is.)
Lucas: PK Love (This move is literally as strong as PK Starstorm, plus Lucas actually knows it in his game. Blasts of PSI energy explode from the ground like mines and seek out opponents. Basically PK Starstorm in reverse, but the blasts are smaller and have homing capabilities.)
Samus: Zero Laser (Cool beans.)
ZSSamus: Power of the Chozo (Transforms back into Power Suit Samus, but also summons Chozo statues to attack.)
Marth: Critical Hit (Seems fine to me.
Ike: Great Aether (Also seems good. Then again, I don't know a whole lot about Fire Emblem.)
Captain Falcon: Blue Falcon (This is really good already. Really embodies Falcon's character.)
Pikachu: Volt Tackle (Couldn't have said it better myself.)
Jigglypuff: Jigglypuff's Concert (Puts foes to sleep like Peach's old FS, then Jigglypuff becomes enraged and transforms into Marker Jigglypuff, using her marker to power up moves.)
Squirtle: Hydro Cannon (Squirtle shoots large, aimable balls of water into the air that come down and send opponents flying.)
Ivysaur: Frenzy Plant (Huge vines burst from the ground and ensnare foes, doing large amounts of damage while Ivysaur moves around freely KOing trapped foes.)
Charizard: Blast Burn (Fire swirls through the air doing damage, and explosions burst from the ground sending foes flying.)
Red: Triple Finish (Triggered by using Pokemon Change when one of the Pokemon has the Smash Ball. Exactly like Brawl. More powerful than individual FSes, but causes next Pokemon out to be fatigued for a minute.)
Lucario: Aura Storm (Fine as is.)
Donkey Kong: Kong Beat Down (Like what DK does to the Tikis in DKCR. The player hits attack buttons to deal more damage, ending in a huge final blow. Very similar to Link's.)
Diddy Kong: Rocketbarrel Barrage (I love this one as it is.)
Yoshi: Yoshi Stampede (Self-explanatory. Various colors of Yoshis stampede across the screen, doing lots of damage. Yoshi can attack while this is happening, and has a bit more power added to moves.)
Kirby: Ultra Sword ('Nuff said.)
Meta Knight: Super Mach Tornado (Pretty much an extended version of the Neutral Special that has much larger range and does much more damage. Can be horizontally controlled.)
King Dedede: Masked Dedede (Transformation FS. Much faster and stronger, and Down Special is constantly at max charge.)
Wario: Wario Man (Good as is for me.)
Ice Climbers: Iceberg (Awesome as is. Maybe throw in some Topis and Polar Bears, and make the Condor fly around just for some showmanship. If Popo is in the lead, the Iceberg will be blue and more knockback-oriented. If Nana is in the lead, the Iceberg will be pink and more damage-oriented. Also, a small blizzard accompanies the FS, dealing small amounts of damage and blowing opponents about.)
Mr. G&W: Octopus (There are several good G&W games to draw FSes from, but this one is awesome already. Perhaps the diver could appear and drag opponents toward G&W?)
R.O.B.: Super Gyromite (Scans the immediate area, and transforms foes into Gyromite tops. Can be picked up spun into the ground as with R.O.B.'s Down Special for damage.)
Olimar: End of Day (As a big ol' Pikmin fan, I feel this really captures the essence of the series. Great FS. The Onions should appear and the Pikmin should get in them and fly away with Olimar, and upon returning to the stage, do a little bit of damage upon impact.)
Snake: Metal Gear "Name of Game" (Snake pilots a Metal Gear designed specifically for Smash Bros. For example, if Sm4sh is called "Super Smash Bros. Universe," the name of the FS would be "Metal Gear Universe." Chaos ensues.)
Sonic: Super Sonic (This is good, I suppose.)

I'm not surprised. As I've stated, Japanese Smash fans and non-Japanese Smash fans have very similar opinions. I would say at least 90% the same on character discussion.

Also, as I've suggested hundreds of times, there should be two kinds of final smashes for each character and a type of smash ball for each of them.

The first kind of final smash would be a super attack. Think Mario's Fireball, Link's and Toon Link's Triforce Slash, and Marth's Critical Hit.

The second kind of final smash would be a transformation-based attack. Think Bowser becoming Giga Bowser, the Space Animal's Landmaster, or Sonic becoming Super Sonic.

Also, I would hope Samus' and Zero Suit Samus' final smashes would be modified. For Samus, her super charged beam would remain the same, and would still be a super attack. However, her transformation attack would be something new entirely. Whether Samus changes into Zero Suit Samus or not doesn't matter. As for Zero Suit Samus', her current Final Smash should either shoot out super lasers or something, and be dropped.

And I really like Metal Sonic. Knuckles is my favorite Sonic series character, and Sonic is my 2nd favorite, but Metal Sonic is right after them.

I have absolutely no idea why someone would include Medusa over Palutena, or includes the likes of Sheeda and Micaiah over Roy (who is by far more popular than both of those characters). There are some other poor choices, but those stuck at as the worst. Poor roster overall.

It's called ULTIMATE ROSTER for a reason. Just what I want. And, Roy is pretty much the most boring choice you could think of for a Fire Emblem character. He is, esentially a clone. And since I don't really PERSONALLY ENJOY that series, I picked two characters who I like, and who I think would play cool.

Again, it's a roster I LIKE. Stick in the mud Chrono, you realize this site is allowed to be fun?

Might be a dumb question, but what is this "dojo" you guys speak of?

Also, I remember when the Dojo gave us small information for the first few months. I think the Dojo needs to release maybe 1-3 updates and mostly small stuff for the first year or so, with a cool stage here or there. Maybe somewhere after 6 months it should slowly reveal veterans, changes to veterans, and maybe previously confirmed newcomers. Then a year before the release, slowly let things get better and better.

The problem with Brawl's Dojo is things started getting worse two weeks or so before Christmas after Captain Olimar was revealed. After that, the Dojo was boring. If Olimar was revealed say three weeks before Brawl, the hype would have been crazy.

In fact, if not for Lucario, Ness, and Jigglypuff being revealed on accident three weeks before Brawl came out, Marth being confirmed in the opening (along with Ness being re-confirmed), and all the hype around the leaked roster (that was about half a year old) being 100% true, the Brawl hype in January would have been a terrible month for Smash Bros.

Also it says on Serenes Forest under weapons that there are weapons called Erika's (FE8) and Leaf's (FE4,5) Sword? Might they be DLC too?

Either way this is one major spoiler. I wonder who the fake Marth is anyway?

This is almost as big a mystery as who the heck Tobi is in the Naruto manga (as he was revealed to not really be Madara).

EDIT: This just raises even more questions:

This isn't the same masked Marth we've seen, it's the spirit of the Hero King Marth from another world. After clearing the DLC map you get his talisman/card and he joins your party.

Every character getting their own home stage would be nice to see. Melee and 64 can so close to it meeting that goal. Melee was weird to see some characters get cross franchise home stages though.

How many stages do you think we can expect this time anyway? I'm guessing 52-60?

Problem: Star Fox. There's no way in heck Star Fox deserves 3 stages. Heck, arguing Star Fox deserves two stages would generate some debate. The same goes for Fire Emblem getting 3 stages and MOTHER getting 2 new stages. That is, unless we're counting past stages. Then everything is good... except Fire Emblem getting 3 stages!

Anyway, the possibility of new Pokemon introduced in Black/White 2 could possibly make both Zoroark and Victini out the of the running. If Genesect has a new storyline event in Black/White 2, then he could be our choice. However, there could just as easily be a plethora of new legendaries introduced in that game.

Maybe. Still, I doubt given how Zoroark and Victini have stood the test of time for about a year, they will still be within the public smash bros speculator circles, although perhaps not as prominently, or seen as inevitable choices like they are now.

Zoroark would have, much better than Victini. I don't think the Victini support will stay STRONG, and I think the Zoroark support will stay at a constant second to Mewtwo's. UNLESS, like I mentioned earlier, Genesect kills them BOTH.

I think Zoroark support mostly comes from people feeling like he is the inevitable choice.

As for Victini support, it is fairly cultish (much like Ridley, Diddy Kong, Ike, Geno, Sonic, and Mega MAn pre-Brawl) and has a fairly large "hardcore" into Victini. However, this crowd is much smaller than all of those of previously mentioned characters (minus Geno). I imagine that even if the mass "light" Victini support disappears (such as my light support of Victini), they will remain devout to Victini.

Heck, some might even remain devout to Victini for the next Smash Bros game or two, much like a handful of people with Meowth, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Banjo, etc.

Also that orgy... I ain't touching that crap, especially after 4chan raided the pre-Brawl Brawl Boards with Mudkip porn, amongst other stuff I cannot unsee!

I think that is the point. I've been telling everyone that Krom and gangs designs are more modern than the older characters. By "modern" I mean farther along in the past.

Krom vs Roy

What's your opinion on who you think will get in Star.

You and Oasis are my favorites. You can be my Magnus and Palutena to my Pit. (Oasis is Palutena of course)

I'm torn on that, while I like Krom's design I can't only see what he can do more than Roy could. Roy, at least right now, has the popularity, but whether that will hold is a different story. I definitely think Krom is going to establish a legitimate fanbase in the next couple of months. While there will be those that will support him simply because he is new, he has enough merits on his own to justify being playable IMO. He could play the role of the balanced Fire Emblem fighter, between Marth and Ike. The relation between him and Marth add a neat little theme if Krom is in; but I cannot say either way for sure. It's a toss up. The one thing I do know is if Roy comes back he isn't going to change much. Than again Krom might not be much better. It's too hard to say, but I'm, personally, going with Krom right now. Otherwise it really is 50/50.

Oh, and Fire Emblem: Awakening releases next week in Japan.

Its funny how people have brought up Krom as a medium between Marth and Ike, when I have been bringing up the idea of Roy being a mix of Marth and Ike for YEARS. I find it even more hilarious that people jumped on the Anna idea I introduced years ago in regards to a female Fire Emblem character, when at the time it was attacked.

Also, I am a bit dismayed that people use the "clone" tag to attack a character's worth. The Krystal and Midna fans did that to Wolf and Toon Link fans, and in the end Sakurai implemented those characters over those two probably because there was a moveset that Sakurai could already base those characters off of, and upon retrospect most people realize that putting in Wolf and Toon Link (despite sharing some similar moves with another character on the roster) was a much better choice than Krystal and Midna.

Also, in regards to the Marth DLC for FE13, I have been very vocal that Masked Marth is not the same Marth from FE1/FE3/FE11/FE12. I think that Masked Marth may even be a woman

This quote makes it seem as though Masked Marth comes from an alternate universe. Shadow Dragon brought up the concept of alternate worlds when Nagi was introduced. While the real Marth's outfit looks exactly the same as Masked Marth's, his arms and legs have more meat to them than Masked Marth's, further pointing that Masked Marth may be a woman.
