I think it has to do with his height, and also because Ridley literally could have heavier muscle per length/width measurement than us. Ridley also probably has no fat.

Most of us see Ridley as bigger than Bowser. Thus, we think he will weigh a bit less than Samus. If Ridley was as big as Samus (like in the EXTREMELY EPIC Melee intro video), however, he would probably weigh about as much as Samus.

Still, you'd think that Ridley would be lighter in weight, or else he would have a harder time flying around. Sure Charizard can fly, but not as well as Pit and Meta Knight, who are both lighter than it.

Anyway, I did get a laugh at the way you quoted me. It almost makes you wonder where Rosalina Supporter went to.

Ridley also weighs a lot (judging by how hard he knocks Samus back in that heavy suit).

Charizard is also much shorter (about 5'6) and he seems to have fat. Ridley can't have fat. He's lost it after being killed/nearly killed/revived/burned alive a trillion times!

Also, I'm glad I got an LOL out of you Rosalina fan! I think the Rosalina support died after Super Mario Galaxy was 2 or so years old. Usually support for a character tends to die after 2 years of their initial game, unless they continue to be an important and popular character in future games, or reach "star status" (which is how King K. Rool has remained so popular).

What does Knuckles "add" over other characters? Oooh! He punches! So original! He glides! So does Charizard, Meta Knight, and Pit, and possible newer characters such as Ridley. The only difference is that Knuckles doesn't have wings, which honestly isn't a big deal in the long run. He digs! Ok, that would be original and cool. Other than that, he primarily Spin Dashes, and guess who else does that? Near everyone in the Sonic series, including Sonic himself.
People want him? Well guess what? People want Tails and Eggman too. Hell, people want METAL SONIC as well. Does that mean Metal Sonic is worthy?

And your IT'S TAILS rule should automatically put Tails right below Sonic in terms of importance.

Least with Amy Rose you have a god damn mallet of wtf to use. But I agree. I don't think she'd be the first of the series.

My order of importance, though controversial, would be:

-Sonic (obvious reasons)

-Shadow (Approaches to much of the new audience that WiiU will undoubtly also need to cater to NOT have him next. Besides, he's got multiple games and probably one of if not the deepest story line about his character than anyone else in the series)

-Knuckles (Fans want him, he's cool. He's unique. He provides something different than the other characters)

-Dr.Eggman (Very gimmicky, easy to make a bunch of moves up for him sense he's a techno freak anyways, been an arch rival since the beginning)

-Tails (...it's TAILS)



What I hope Sakurai doesn't do is look at his newer group of fans and think he needs to get anyone from Team Kaotic. If I see the god damn alligator or the ninja get in before Knuckles I'll cry.

Ok, I guess your right. But I don't think it matters cause she probably won't get in. Tails is the most likely to get in but I would rather not see him because I don't see aything iconic about him besides his flying. Knuckles or Shadow would be much cooler.

Looks really nice, ---! Music choices are solid, as well. I especially like Summoning Dance. I don't know why I didn't think of it before! Also, perhaps instead of Tanookis only appearing with items on, they can be like Smashville's Balloon and only carry them when on, but still appear? Just a thought.

On Sonic characters, I'd imagine that Tails or Eggman, more likely Tails, would get in if anyone, due to their importance to the series since the start. They'd just...fit.

But on a serious note, I doubt we'll get any other Sonic characters. It is a Nintendo game afterall. We can't have a huge ton of talking bipedial animals plus an egg-shaped gentleman running around willy nilly and outnumbering the number of Pokemon and Mario characters put together! xD ...so much for my serious note...but you get the point.

Yeah... pretty much what Golden said on the topic of Sonic characters not named Sonic. Knuckles is a BAMF and my favorite Sonic character, but he has no chance at being playable. I think he gets 3rd or 5th priority behind Tails (obviously) and maybe Dr. Eggman. After that, it's Shadow, and then any of the 4,000 random Sonic characters I don't give two licks about.

Anyways, I'm probably gonna go out. I may be back later to annoy the Waluigi supporters..

Edit: Also, Shadow is not a deep character. The only arguably "deep" character in Smash is maybe Snake, and that is a stretch (unless you are talking about Naked Snake). When I think of deep characters, I think of Michael Corleone, Batman, and Frodo('s love for Samwise's butt cheeks and waffles!)

GBA games haven't come out on 3DS yet. But 3 NES games are now available. Super Mario Bros., Metroid, and Punch-Out!! (this one wasn't one of the 10 NES Ambassador games).

I think Toad would be pretty interesting to play in Smash. I hope his Down B lets him pick up and carry opponents. It would be like Donkey Kong's Forward Throw where he lifts and carries his opponents. The other B moves could involve mushrooms throughout the Mario series. Poison Mushroom for B where he counterattacks by shrinking opponents who hit the mushroom. Golden Mushroom for Side B where he runs and tackles into opponents like you do when you use the mushroom to steal balloons in Mario Kart games. Propeller Mushroom for Up B where he propels up and fall slowly. Final Smash is hard to come up but I like the idea of Toad driving around in his kart.

I mean, Birdo is a recurring character that debuted the same time Toad got a playable role, was a helper in Toad's other playable role (Wario's Woods), and also was an important NPC in Captain Rainbow.
Why people overlook her/him and glorify only Toad confuses me. And then they consider Daisy and Rosalina > Birdo while talking crap about Waluigi just because Daisy and Rosalina debuted outside of sports titles.
When it should be Birdo > Rosalina > Daisy > Waluigi in terms of deserving by terms of non spin-off titles by their standards.

I think the key difference is in playable appearances. Toad's playable appearances (most notably New Super Mario Bros. Wii) are usually in more popular games than Birdo's.

I mean, I'm no vehement Toad supporter, but I think Birdo doesn't get any love because she (and yes, I'm calling it a she) isn't a pillar of the series and she doesn't make very many significant playable appearances.

That was not a prediction roster I posted.

The problem I am having with posting an actual prediction roster is that there is almost certainly going to be a character or two that Sakurai puts in that almost no one sees coming (for Brawl it was Snake, Zero Suit Samus, and ROB). There were some people suggesting a Pokemon Trainer, but no one predicted the character would utilize the original starters.

I also have a hunch that if Nintendo's next major IP has a character that could be made playable in Smash Bros., that character could very well end up being playable in Smash 4 (though he/she/it would probably the be the last decided non-clone newcomer to the roster).
