The only thing i can see is using zelda's power in another way,riding a horse,playing an ocarina,but this lacks possibility,but maybe sheik's attack are sheikah,sheik and impa have almost the same clothes,but if she's not an official characer,then she could be an alternate costume for sheik in some way!
And impa is only with zelda when she's a child,and impa was already old,sheik looked more fitting as zelda is adult,and impa is dead maybe,or changing to a whole different person wouldn't be so easy as changing clothes!

Well, affirmative action is bad, too. I don't support female characters because they are female. I support female characters because they are important characters in their series.

Peach - most important female in Mario series
Zelda - ditto for Zelda series
Samus - same for Metroid series
Palutena AND Medusa - yes to both for Kid Icarus series
Dixie Kong - more so when compared to other important females in the Donkey Kong series

I don't care if Eternal Darkness and Geist are Nintendo's creations or not. I still say that it's not a smart move to be involving M-rated games in the Super Smash Bros. series. The last thing we want is Mortal Kombat type of fighting, especially since Smash Bros. is affiliated with cartoon violence.

Personally, I find that counterproductive to feminism and equality. I want women to be included because of their own merits, not because they have breasts and vaginas. And again... Who wants to make the case that Jill doesn't have any merit herself? I mean, I could accept that maybe Capcom has recently been trying to push Chris as the "face" of Resident Evil, but for a long time it didn't really have a Strong lead character, did it? I REALLY DON'T FOLLOW IT THAT CLOSELY. So in my mind, Chris, Leon, Jill... pretty interchangeable.

I could also be biased toward Jill because she is a Sandwich.

Whatever. Jill Valentine is most likely never getting in Smash anyway. It is very likely that none of the characters from Resident Evil are getting in so this debate is moot. You should be worrying over whether she will be in MvC4 or not. If Smash is getting a Capcom character, most likely it will be Rock Man (or Mega Man ) and/or Ryu from Street Fighter (but I am fine with Ryu from Breath of Fire 1-4 as well ).

Men have been the dominating gender is several societies for thousands of years. Same reason why non-whites can make jokes towards White people. Doesn't make it right, but it does explain its origins.

And if you want Jill, there's Zero Suit Samus.

I think it has to do with the fact the women are simply the minority in playable characters in Smash. We had no new girls in Smash unless you count Zamus. People want more variety. Also, girls themselves provide different ways of fighting than men and vice versa. You're not going to see many guys fight like Mai Shiranui, but rather their own take on her fighting style.

If we are gonna add female characters, at least make sure they are major players in Nintendo's bigger series and are some of the most recognized faces in Nntendo's history. I don't expect the likes of Daisy, Kumatora, Jody Summer, Tiny Kong, and maybe Lip and Jill (from Drill Dozer) to show up any time soon but I can expect the likes of Palutena, Medusa, Dixie Kong, and maybe Impa (probably to replace/update Sheik) and Krystal (probably as another Fox clone).

If Krystal is a Fox clone, I will be very annoyed with this. I might even stop supporting Star Fox altogether. Peppy Hare? Fox clone. Slippy Toad? Fox clone. Leon Powalski? Fox clone. **** that ****, I'm not gonna stand for it. If they are all gonna be stupid Fox clones, then they can either keep Falco and Wolf and not add any more Star Fox characters OR cut Falco and Wolf and replace them with two more Fox clones. I don't need three or four different ways to play as Fox. I only need one way to play as Fox!

Falco is how Fox would be like if he could jump higher and had a slower blaster and a projectile-like reflector.

Wolf is how Fox would be like if he could have a flame-less Up+B and a diagonal Side+B and a claw on his blaster.

If Krystal is a clone, she would be how Fox would be like if he used the staff to do the moves he already does but OMG! with long-range normal attacks!

Falco and Wolf just need a few changes here and there. Change their specials up like a Flash Kick and Spinning Bird Kick and a third jump for Falco, and more Desperado/Cowboy/Feral takes on his specials for Wolf.

Yea, the Star Fox trio is very different (I've tried all of them) I just hope they don't add Krystal, as there are only so many variations you can do of the same move. Plus, there are so many better characters they could do anyway.

Zelda didn't fight in any game at all before Smash except for Non-Canon ones(and two shows). Actually read the whole message before you cherrypicking something. You'd notice I was talking about her never fighting in Canon. Hell, the first time she fought was during Wind Waker. Unless you can name a game where she does anything of slight note. Giving Link the Light Arrows does not count here.

Sheik actually did something in OOT. Teleported and teach songs. Teleportation is an actual skill used in fighting. Songs are actually used in fighting(Bards), even though it wasn't implemented.

That reminds me, if this game had actual blocking, Sheik could be very deadly if she had followups from her teleport. Come to think of it, that actually sounds like a very good idea.

sheik didn't really teleport, she blinded link with a deku nut and ran/jumped far with ninja speed.

the teleport move in smash bros is made up from the idea of a ninja vanishing like sheik does in OoT and the implementation of the fictitious vanishing of ninjas like Ryu Hayabusa's Izuna Drop.

Jill and Lip > Impa and Krystal (and if you ask me, Dixie)

also, Zelda does fight ganon at the end of OoT... she utilizes her "Power" to stop Ganon from getting back up.
she also has a spell to unlock locked gates, but whatever.
