And his range would be off the charts... there's a reason why Pac-Man is a more favorable choice. XD

Relevancy is not an issue, keep in mind. And he had a Wii appearance... storyline-wise.
You said that but ehh.. Be really neat if the Azure knight dropped in but its probly not gonna happen unless we make some noise.

DK64 was the devil. If Rare didn't gyp us with Tiny Kong replacing Dixie and all the super banana back tracking I might have been more fond of it. Wasn't a bad game though, just nothing compared to BK or Mario 64.
Funny you mentioned those 2 games. DK64 was a ripoff of Banjo-Kazooie (which was very inspired by Mario 64). Its like whatever Rare left out of BK (or included halfway) they threw into DK64, and whatever they left out of DK64 went straight to Banjo-Tooie. Even the music is similar; I know Grant Kirkhope composed those three games but some tracks are so identical its like he sampled his own music. Hideout Helm Offline sounds very similar to Cauldron Keep, and the K.Rool fight sounds like Hag 1's at the very beginning.
There's also similar gameplay mechanics.

So banjo ripped off nintendo then nintendo ripped off banjo?
Rare was making DK games at the time. They always had some similarities to Nintendo's games though.

I'm gonna go ahead and spoiler this since I hate when image posts are huge, but let me just go ahead and mention (sorry if this has been brought up before):

VA-wise in the Medusa's Revenge OVA (and therefore, the game, considering they're using the videogame VAs in the OVAs). Cree Summer is the sh*t. I just got super hyped for this game, and it's sad that this is what pushed me over the edge. I was kinda eh on the OVAs after the 3D one with Thanatos, but Medusa's Revenge is fantastic.

Also, I used to be a Palutena guy all the way, but since Cree Summer is voicing Medusa, I just don't know anymore...

I'm still amazed Nintendo is putting out so much in the voice acting department alone. First, Pit and Palutena amazed me, and then you get a veteran voice actor like Cree Summer involved. It's no Disney-Ghibli cast, but the cast so far is nothing to laugh at.

Don't think of it as Nintendo putting in the effort for the VA, just think of it purely as move from Sakurai.

Honestly, before I saw Medusa's Revenge, I was hardcore on the Palutena bandwagon (in terms of Smash). Cree Summer is enough to make me want Medusa more. That's how much I like Cree.

I've probably watched Medusa's Revenge twenty times now. I have a problem.

But does Sakurai have that kind of control when it comes to localization? Then again, Sakamoto essentially handpicked Jessica Martin for Samus and insisted on "The Baby", which BTW was always in the Japanese versions of Metroid.

I still like to think that Nintendo saw this as a big revival so they're pulling out all the stops.

I was a little disappointed in the first part of Medusa's revenge

They didn't animate the mouths moving while the characters talked

Finally saw the Medusa OVA just now

Would still love her to be playable, although I was a little disappoitned that they didn't really go into much detail about her backstory and whatnot. The animation was really good though, but the near end of the OVA really surprised me. When I saw the fanservice bit, I was like, "Da fuq?". I felt like I was watching an actual anime show LOL

And now I done seen Part 3 of Pit's OVA (I already saw the first two parts). Three things:

1. RAGE QUIT
2. Pit got dat gunsword again! That sexy *** weapon NEEDS to be in Smash
3. Lol at the very end with Thanatos

vvvvvv hahaha

Right behind you with a knife.
Medusa is too big for Smash 4. If they shrank her down, fans wouldn't like it because it would fundamentally change her character. Her small size in the original Kid Icarus was retconned, so she was always big. Her tail is too awkward to implme...wait a second...

Nintendo doesn't really care about Donkey Kong really. :/ But same thing could be said about all their franchises except Mario, Zelda, Pokémon and I guess maybe Metroid.

You know, I just realized something. Mario Tennis Open has Wifi. That means online hackers. Meaning people will start cheating at TENNIS.

I dunno, that just seems humorous to me.

The funny thing about Medusa is that she can make Ridley look like a dwarf if she wanted too. But seriously, size is never a problem. For those who say Ridley is too big, look up Bowser's history before stating such nonsense.

The 3DS hasn't been hacked yet, so it's too soon to say that type of stuff.

I wonder how many people actually do that, or they just have really good execution/are using macros.

Ridley and Bowser are coming from completely different places. It is not size that is the issue, but bodily structure. There are better arguments to make a point out there.

At least he has a structure. Unlike SLIME.

I wonder if people will say Medusa's snake hair would be too complex to animate or somedumb.

This is bringing back bad/hilarious memories of Sukapon detractors.

There is a Donkey Kong 3D RUMORED to be coming out.

Than again, it may just be game stores trying to squeeze money out of people for a game they feel will come out eventually

1. Actually, lacking a structure would allow Slime to have multiple forms leading to more possibilities.
2. Come to think of it, it WOULD be the most complex thing Smash has had to animate. On the other hand, with the gigantic technological boost, we could see things like proper furshading, layered dresses, proper hair flow (at least it went better for Zelda from Melee to Brawl), better lighting, etc.
3. I still want Sukapon.

This video contains a naughty word but its about brawl, I think most will get a kick out of it, If they can overlook the "Word"

I don't think anyone really cares about cursing at this point, at least in this thread.

Ridley is purple. Purple is a ghey color.
Therefore, Ridley won't get in because only gheys would like him and Sakurai doesn't want to be labeled as a ghey.

Doesn't matter that he's been black, green (Zero Mission artwork), red (Super Metroid artwork), and blue (Neo Ridley), he's purple in both Melee and Brawl, which counts the most. Oh, and the original Metroid as well as Other M. Even Meta Ridley and Omega Ridley have purple scales. PURPLE IS A COLOR.

:troll:

Lol at the fact that no one noticed I pulled a ViewtifulGene when I mimicked Arcadenik. Of COURSE G&W isn't Japan-only. Neither is Sheriff, so it made the same amount of sense when copying Arcade.
