Says you though. When it comes to Tini and Zoro, pick your freaking poison. Tini disgusts me at this point. Weird. I used to hate Zoroark and love Tini.

I know there are people out there who like it (a hell of a lot of people in Japan), but it's design is sparse in variety (principles of design, blah blah blah), and is super similar to an anime character, which could be good or bad depending on your tastes. I like simple Pokemon, too (I have a pet Ducklett) and I'm certainly not one of those who thinks that there are "stupid" Pokemon (to use the words of people who don't play Pokemon then hurl insults at new designs).

And yeah, no matter how much I try to argue that Zoroark's appearance is bland, it's ultimately a matter of opinion.

What's fact, though, is that he is nothing special as a Pokemon in terms of moves and abilities. Take away his appearance, and you've got a Pokemon with above-average Attack, Sp. Attack, and Speed, one exclusive move (which isn't as uncommon as it used to be), and a set of naturally learned moves that most Dark-types can learn. He could be a slightly stronger Liepard.

Illusion is literally unique (in that no other Pokemon besides it and its unevolved form can have it), but not technically unique. It turns into another Pokemon, which is able to be done by any Pokemon knowing Transform. Illusion certainly has advantages, but it isn't groundbreaking and original.

I will admit that it confuses the hell out of me when I attack a Conkeldurr with Psychic and nothing happens, though.

Agreed if both Genesect and Mewtwo got in Smash that would be pretty epic I'm only expecting Mewtwo though. (And isn't Genesect a lot smaller then that I thought it was like only four feet tall.)

@Star I don't think most people realize the huge parallel between the two. They were both created/manipulated by evil teams, so their angst would ignite a firey battle the likes of which the universe has never known.

I'm starting to think Zoroark is more likely, but I'm still not all that interested in him.

Mewtwo and Lucario (and Jiggs) for the win.

Overall, I see Zoroark as the best 5th generation rep, especially since it's one of the first generation 5s revealed to us, and it has that Illusion ability.

The funny thing about all of this though, is that if Ridley is playable, and Kyurem is a boss, the latter is guaranteed to be bigger than the former.

If you suggest anything other than Zoroark/Victini/Genesect/Legendary/Flavor of the Month you get sarcastic responses.

So, basically, most Pokemon ever. If Jigglypuff hadn't been in yet and someone suggested it, people would scoff their scoffers off. Having a random popular Pokemon from the middle of the dex is apparently the stupidest thing ever; all choices must be either legendary, heavily featured in movies, or both.

And to whoever said that Zoroark's Illusion ability didn't need to appear in Smash Bros.: That would only make him more boring.

And to whoever said Zoroark's Illusion ability made him a unique/likely candidate (or whatever word was used): Every Pokemon has an ability. Not all have exclusive abilities, but there are certainly better ones than Illusion. I think it's silly in the Pokemon games (hardly useful except in certain situations), and it'd be silly in Smash Bros. If Zoroark transforms into other characters, then why wouldn't I just play as that character?

I feel for you. The most exciting pokemon are not always the most popular. I think a Smash Pokemon game addition would be great. In fact, I think a Smash DS game that only involves pokemon that you can evolve to stronger forms that you can transport into the Wii U smash would be phenomenal.

However, Sakurai has influence from the makers of these characters. Pokemon is one of the largest selling Nintendo games, so any pokemon that gamefreak wants will probably get in.

I did not think Lucario was interesting. I even suggested a mechanic that would allow him to get stronger the more damage he received to make him interesting before the brawl roster came out.

Zoroark seems to follow (my opinion) the same formula that Lucario did.

Of course, Pokemon trainer was out of left field. I think a pokemon that evolves during battle after a certain criteria is matched would be cool.

You were agreeing with me, or so I thought, for picking a pokemon that wasn't in the movies or a mascott. And you quoted me and cubchoo rather than scraggy or heatmore. So why would I then turn around and criticize your taste in Pokemon.
