@Asage It's good to see that my dissenting opinion on these games is shared. I ranted a few pages back about it, blah blah blah, let off steam.
Really, though, a new region of Unova post-Elite Four with a few new Pokemon would be neat. I mean, the extra Mons are probably a stretch, but at least it would inject a little more freshness. I don't doubt that they'll be good, I'm just reeeeeally wanting to know how they'll work.
@SmashChu It's nice to at least have someone on my side. I think something that personifies the anti-Brawl movement is the fact that many of them hate Final Smashes. They're a feature that was added to make the game more fun, and it worked, like you mentioned. While people like you and I and all the other scrubs want fun mechanics like that, the competitive scene just wants to morph Smash Bros. into a traditional fighter, which is silly. If you want to play a fighting game that "takes itself seriously," there are plenty out there.
