@overlord Yeah I guess it makes sense that Fawful might be able to make it in...
To get what he's good at into the game, they could make him say some random goofy crap while performing certain attacks.

Fawful would be pretty cool, and I just got done fighting an Olimar, my Lucas won but ugh so much camping, spam, and smash spams, and grabs and and -.-

Olimar is just a camping character that punishes you if you try to come near.

Sylux would be cool, so would Trace and Kanden though.

And the rock guy Spire.

I would like to see Sora in the next smash (Most people disagree) but he'd be interesting, and I loved him as a kid.

Like, I really think Nintendo could put better characters in but I'd still like to see him in.

One of the rival bounty hunters from the DS game. If we're going for rival hunters, I'd like to see any of the 3 from Corruption (Rundas, Gandrayda, or Ghor).

Ghor would be seriously awesome. But the pecking order for me goes Ridley > Anthony Higgs > Rundas/Gandrayda/Ghor > Hunters from DS Games.

I still just don't see Ridley in smash... he seems like he'd be shrinked or just... the way he is .-.

I'd rather him be a boss, he doesn't seem very playable imo.

His structure looks way too like, Idk how to say it.

Arguments against Ridley's size apply to Bowser and K. Rool as well.
The former is already playable, the latter is heavily wanted for Smash like Ridley.

I'm pretty sure Golden summed it up pretty well. Ridley needs to get into this whole smash thing. They can shrink him and he'll still be ridley, just a little smaller.

I really don't think they need to shrink him down that much. Large characters are not strange to fighting games. In fact, it could be used as a balancing factor. Long range, lots of damage and, since this is Ridley we are talking about, pretty damn agile to boot. But, since this is RIDLEY, he could also be pretty light for his size, and his size would make it easy to combo him.

Pretty much, deals tons of damage quickly but dies fast....just like in the 2D Metroids. Especially Zero Mission.

Or give him a retractable tail. This is meta Ridley, after all, so Sakurai copuld explain it as an unseen feature because he is a robot or something. Not canonical, but Smash isn't canonical in the first place.

Also seeing as plain Ridley had somewhat of a retractable tail, this makes perfect sense.
