Let's see... in Melee, I THIIIINK from S to C tier is what you usually see in tournaments, and in Brawl you have S to D tier? 11/26 vs 17/38? Pretty much the same.

I say D tier since Iblis is always getting ***** by Peach.

Here I am with my badass self posting after a hiatus.

I saw mention of "Manthony" Higgs, and I got to say, he or Adam should be the 3rd Metroid slot. After Ridley or Meta Ridley, of course.

@Oasis: Pause. Hero in no shape or form ***** me LOL, but anyways yes from S tier to about D all those are viable secondary characters but if you want to solo main, MK to about Wolf is as far as you'll get.

Which reminds me, since this is a place as good as any to ask, how much has the meta-game changed? In, about, the last year or so?

People get gayer, use more tiers.

Lucas has a nightmare, fighting a lot of Marths and Snakes.

Luckily not many G&W's have appeared.

Metaknights keep appearing but that's normal.

There is like 10 brawl tourney viable characters without a secondary, just saying

:phone:
Those being? Meta Knight, Diddy, Snake, Falco, Pikachu, Marth, Kirby, Game & Watch, Wario and Ice Climbers right?

Badass black guy that beat the stereotype of the black man dying first (He was the only one of the soldiers to SURVIVE) > Dark clone made of energy.

We can all agree that Ganondorf's move-set has it's very own flavor, right? Being slow but devastating and, at least in Melee, pretty decent. It would be a shame to lose it completely....so why not make it a little bit more different and give it to Black Shadow or Apocalypto?

In fact, they could give the Cap some of his moves from Smash 64 (Like the Kick Smash) and give the Elbow bash to Black Shadow/Apocalypto, along with the body slam up smash from 64.

Ganondorf can keep a similar moveset to his Brawl/Melee one, or get a brand new one, I really don't care. But don't go passing on movesets, especially ones a lot of people don't exactly like. Leave Black Shadow be.

Giving old movesets to new characters is the definition of boner killer.

Watch recent videos. As of now Olimar has picked up some hype due to Nietono's success at APEX. Everyone is jumping on the Japan Bandwagon too.

You say that now, but later you'll probably be Sobbing in the Shower.
However last time we practiced I went Super Sayian and beat him solidy.

EDIT: Also Blue talks about the metagame like we don't try new things and everything is gay please stop. Lol

Completely Different Person/Character > "Adjective" "Name of Existing Character"

Also, in that tier list, the picture that's supposed to be Peach is actually Rosalina. Wat.

@breadbox if you mean like goomba > paper Mario because he isn't an alternate form of an existing character, you're wrong. If that's not what you mean, never mind then.

That isn't what I mean. Although I am a bit sore about the idea of Paper Mario appearing as a separate playable character slot, but that's only due to my Aspergery need to have everything make sense. I would absolutely loooove for Paper Mario to be playable, but only from the Mario slot.

What I was referring to would be the Dr. Mario situation. I hate Dr. Mario with a passion. For me, Goomba > Dr. Mario.

No need for Black Shadow. Just vary Gannondorf's moveset more in this next edition to better reflect moves he had in his games.

I think Paper Mario is the most deserving Mario rep. Because he can fight with helpers, in an indirect way the player can fight with goombas, koopas, bob-ombs, ect.

Then have no spiritual successor to Gdorfs old moveset
and Sheik
. No problem. :troll:

Fawful would be the best thing ever.

You may like this moveset I made back in December.
[COLLAPSE="Ganondorf moveset"]
Now for the dual-sword Ganondorf moveset.

B: Gerudo Flip
This is a mix of Cammy's Hooligan Combination and Akuma's Demon Flip/Hyakkishu. This move is one of Ganondorf's best ways to approach as his speed isn't great. This move starts with Ganondorf flipping in the air toward the opponent. Here are the inputs for the types of attacks he gets while in this state:

B: Stab to behind, to counter anyone trying to roll to get behind him.
Side B: Grabs the opponent's head and knocks them to the ground with a ground bounce. Counters blocking.
Down B: Does an inward strike with both swords while diving in. Counters anyone rolling back to evade.
Up B: Stabs forward, countering anyone jumping away.
A: Cancel out of the jump, can be used to counter spot dodgers. Allows you to use any attack available to you.

Doing nothing just gives you a nice forward jump.

Side B: This move is a rekka type attack like Marth's Sword Dance.
The first move is a low swing to the ground. This move is safe on block and a nice spacing tool as Ganondorf moves a bit for this move. The second hit is Ganondorf lauching the opponent into the air with him following up and then here comes the fun part. Depending on what you want to have for your reward, there are three options you can choose from:

Hit #3:
Up-Side B: Ganondorf does a fierce attack that sends the opponent straight up in the air. Used as an aerial reset as Ganondorf, if done from the ground, can go straight into a double jump to keep on the offensive.
Side B: Strong dual stab that sends the opponent flying horizontally. Used for horizontal K.O.s and to regain control of the stage. This is the strongest of the three outcomes as no mixup potential is available from this.
Down-Side B: A downward strike to the opponent. At higher percentages, this can spike. Other than that, this can be used like Side B, but with the bonus of having a tech chase.

Down B: Big Mistake
Ganondorf enters a parry stance and if attacked, he grabs the opponent, whether they're in the air or not, and does the famous choke move in Brawl. Has all of the followups you've seen in assorted mods. The biggest weakpoints for this move is that it's weak against grabs and cross-up attacks like Fox Illusion and aerials that leave the opponent out of Ganondorf's grab range.

Up B: Winds of Death
This move is essentially like MvC3 Jill's Machine Gun Spray hyper. Ganondorf takes a leap, doing a slide flip with both swords extended. If the last hit lands, you get a ground bounce.

Ganondorf is still a heavy hitter, but now he has the range, mobility options, and the mixups to compensate. He has great horizontal recovery for a heavy character, but his vertical recovery is lacking as a result.[/COLLAPSE]
Another note is that he has an excellent forward wavedash to compensate his poor foot speed.

Well, deserving is a subjective term. Most people have differing opinions on who should get in based on their merit in the series. Paper Mario is up there, but for me there are several that are ahead of him. Plus I just can't deal with the dissonance that arises from having a character that is literally the exact same person playable at the same time. I mean, that shouldn't stand in the way of a possibly fun character like Paper Mario, but my brain just won't let me like the idea a whole lot. That's why I was flipping sh*t when I found out Dr. Mario was going to be in Melee. As it turns out, he was the worst of both worlds: he brought nothing new to the game character-wise or gameplay-wise (if anyone wants to argue that Dr. Mario was significantly different from Mario, I would question your definition of different).

Not saying that Paper Mario and Dr. Mario would be the same. Paper has several ways to make a unique moveset, but I wouldn't rank him as most "deserving." My vote for that would have to go to Toad (I want Toadsworth, but saying that name causes aneurysms around here)/Bowser Jr. Actually, I think we should get both (or at least 2 new Mario reps), but it isn't terribly likely that we will.

I do like how people use "deserving" as though that's a main point for a character getting in Smash.

I mean, Peppy was more deserving than Falco, and Falco made it before him. He's WAY more deserving than Krystal, but people want her more due to having a magic stick and a vagina.

Ha ha the point you made with Krystal is hillarious! Honestly I don't want Krystal in the next smash just because I hate her as a character and I think she's really annoying. Just put peppy in, I'd be fine with it. I just hope the next smash doesnt have Krystal.

Now, on a more Metroid-y note, does anyone else besides me think it would be awesome if they put in sylux?

Why Fawful? That was really unexpected....
But really, I can't understand why you'd want fawful in the next sm4sh.

Mainly because I can't think of any decent movesets he'd have....
In this day and age, moveset potential isn't as much of an issue. As long as a character has minimal source material to draw from, a decent moveset can be made. The specials and playstyle are really the biggest draw on the character's personality, so Fawful wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

My concern with Fawful would be how to translate his humor, which is what he's famous for, into SSB4. People love him so much because of his ridiculous speech patterns, which wouldn't necessarily translate well into a game full of fighters that don't speak at length. He could have a goofy playstyle, which would be fun. Perhaps they try to find a voice actor to do him justice, but given videogames' checkered past with VAs, I'm weary about that.

At any rate, he absolutely should appear as a boss in the Story Mode. *coughsignaturecough* *coughshamelessplugcough*

Ganondorf's moveset is realitively fitting, I think anyways. If he was to get a new moveset, I would want it to have the same feel. This rough and cruel PHYSICAL beastly man. He can have a unique moveset, so long as it keeps the same aura as his Brawl moveset, and I'll be happy.

As for Fox, Falco, Wolf, and Krystal.

I would want Fox to stay similar to how he is already.

Falco should be a personified arwing, like Kuma suggests.

Wolf should be feral weapons weilder. Think of SFA, it's multiplayer mode. He should be using those weapons, and his B-Moves should look NOTHING like Fox or Falco.

Krystal should use her staff and Psychic powers.

Boom, unique SF crew. I don't mind Fox and Falco having a Mario & Luigi type feel. They have SOME similarities, but Wolf an Krystal really should play nothing like them. Krystal and Wolf learned to fight completely seperate from Fox, Falco, Slippy and Peppy. They shouldn't be so similar.
