We've never speculated on Hamtaro before, so ummm... they probably aren't very high, I'd say? I guess if more people knew about Nintendo owning the rights to his games, he would be more of a popular request, and therefore, maybe he'd have a better chance of making it in

Here's the (hopefully) final version of my dream Smash 4 roster. It's not very likely we'll be getting all of these characters, but I'll be very surprised if we get someone who's NOT on this list. The section to the left is the characters that the game ships with. The section to the right is for people to pick and choose which characters they eventually want added as DLC. They're either characters who barely didn't make the roster to the left or are my own personal pipe dreams. And before people go all "LOL WHY DLC", the reason they're all not included at launch is so that the game can launch earlier.

The initial 60 characters to the left are what launch with the game, and the ones you've chosen to the right will be added afterwards via free DLC. This way the game can release relatively quickly, and the other characters can be worked on and released post-launch. Alternate costumes are included for the initial roster, but not for DLC's as of yet. If you guys want to suggest alts for the DLC's, I'm open to suggestions, but for right now, I'm done with this roster.

Soooo... thoughts? I'm not 100% happy with all the alt costumes I've got in there, (Palutena, Lucas, and Zoroark come to mind) but this was the best I could come up with for each character and suggestions are always welcome for alt costume changes. If I like your idea, it might get added.[/COLLAPSE]

Woaw dude, dream a little smaller. If this is most of the select few characters who you think will get in, that makes sense. But 90 character slots=???? That's insane! I wouldn't know who to main, who to play, etc. I would be so overwhelmed.

I can't wait until E3 rolls around or we get some solid news so that people (especially vets) will stop whining about this thread and its topics

Agreed. Hopefully that way all the people who think characters like Luigi, Ganondorf, and Jigglypuff won't return will stop saying they'll be cut, and start whining about them returning. However, most of those people are on GameFAQs, which as we know, is a breeding ground for idiots when it comes to Smash Bros (amongst other things).

Everyone has a right to say they want, say, Master Chief, but they can't say he stands a chance without being wrong (unless Sakurai changes his mind on the 3rd character rules he made [in which Master Chief is like 4th or 5th party, therefore is ineligible). However, if someone were to make a character thread for Master Chief. Just saying. Then again, voting for or against a character really doesn't mean much, other than to collect data for the person hosting the poll to get insight as to what characters people want in smash.

Then Kobe Bryant can make it into Smash. After all, NBA Courtside 2 Featuring Kobe Bryant was on the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Chronicle. I owned, had, and enjoyed that game, until my dumb a** cousin borrowed it and lost it, along with my Pokémon Stadium game.

It is on the Melee Dojo (which is in Japanese only). He said something along the lines of he always wanted a younger incarnation of Link to be in the game to do something like complete the circle of Link and Zelda in smash.

That would be an epic "transformation" Final Smash, and would give Pit a 2nd Final Smash to go with his "Super Attack" Final Smash. That, of course, is assuming my hope of each character getting a "Super Attack" Final Smash and a "Transformation" Final Smash becomes an awesome reality).

Also, Medusa's voice is... sounds like Ursala from Disney's version of "The Little Mermaid."

Urg, I knew he would be good (not that good), and was upset when the Warriors released him for DeAndre Jordan (yes, I follow Bay Area teams closely).

But yeah, Kobe Bryant would be a hilarious addition (as would Jeremy Lin).

Although let's be honest: Kobe Bryant's only shot is as a Mii. The same applies to Hamataro.

If Miis were in Brawl, my mains will be Jerry Rice (on the Seahawks for the lulz), Zombie George Washington, and an obese Paris Hilton...

Oh, yes I do. It's because everyone hates Other M. Well, that may not be why they joke about Anthony getting in; maybe they just don't see him as likely. But if they don't have extreme hate for Other M, there's really no reason that Higgs would be a bad candidate.

Hell, even if you don't like Other M, you'd have to admit that Anthony is badass. After your little description of him being a heavier ZSS, I'm already getting my want back for him.

No I'm not joking either, I think he's the best choice by far after Ridley for a Metroid representation. I'd totally play as him actually. And instead of a whip, he could have a double gun indeed. I hope to maybe see him as a sort of heavily Luigified ZSS clone. A Ness / Lucas sort of idea.

Other M wasn't too bad actually. I really liked the fast pace, as well as the new additions in action. Too bad the fast pace meant the game was finished quite fast. And it was a little repeating sometimes. But overall it was a good idea, just overhyped and thus dissapointing.

Ridley was really ugly in Other M though...

Please no Dark Samus. I loved the Prime series (to a significant degree more than Other M), but there's almost no room for Luigification with Dark Samus. She's her own entity and all, and I respect that, but she's just... bleh.

And yes Diddy, I would love to hear some Higgs idears. The biggest question on my mind right now is: How would he recover?

My first instinct is to think some sort of jet/hoverpack.

When I think of quick power players, nobody really comes to mind. I mean, we don't have any characters that are sturdy and really physically tough while being agile and maneuverable, and I think Anthony could fill that role without being cheap.

I mean, I suppose a case could be made for Captain Falcon, but he's not really insanely stocky.

Well Dark Samus may or may not return. Remember, we can still get a Prime 4. Even if we don't, that doesn't rule Dark Samus or another "fake" Samus out. However, at the current moment, I think that Sylux has the best shot for any Metroid character that isn't Samus, Zamus, or Ridley, which doesn't add up to much quite frankly...

Well there are multiple reasons people dislike Dark Samus.

1. She is a Samus clone (literally). People don't like clones, and think being a clone of a character=they will be a clone in smash.

2. Dark Samus is one of two Samus clones (the other is SA-X).

3. Dark Samus could easily be a clone, whether a Dr. Mario total clone or a Luigified/Lucasified (because Lucas is super close to being unlike Ness) clone. Most people are uncomfortable, and assume the developers were either lazy or that clones take up a spot of a more original character.

4. Making Dark Samus original would be harder than most characters in smash thus far. This is probably true, but all you need to do is take a few of Dark Samus' moves from Metroid Prime 2 and 3, maybe add in a bit of Mother Brain, add in general generic attacks. and you're good. The big question is whether or not this is worth doing.

Edit: Why the heck would you post about ONLY an encounter at a movie theater=??? This isn't a social thread, this is the Super Smash Bros. Wii U thread. If you want to mention that in a larger post, fine, but let's keep on the subject on hand. This is probably the one time in the next few months we will be discussing Metroid characters that aren't Samus (with or without her suit) or Ridley, and dang it, I don't want the subject to die!
