In the land of Mario Spin-Off games we have very few characters who are Original. Plum is not only one of the ten or so that are, but she is memorable as well. Originating from Mario Golf on the Nintendo 64, she is a ready participant in smash 4. She has brushed up on her sports and party games, and is ready to battle.
Plum’s moveset is based around the idea of rewarding combo’s and juggling. So, for her sake let’s pretend that this Smash she is in has the right physics for those two things.
Up B: Catch! Plum leaps into the air with her pitchers glove. If an opponent touches her while she is using this animation they will be thrown down to the ground where they will be temporarily crushed into it. She immediately screams “OUT!” to troll you for being a n00b and if she let’s herself drop she will have time to get to your body an possibly hit you a few times, or prepare some sort of combo.
Over B: Foul Swing – This move will have Plum rapidly(and angrily I might add) swing her golf club as if she keeps missing the ball. This attack will be infinite like Fox’s infinite kick, except it can hurt foes in front, and behind her. It won’t do much damage, but is a good substitute for combo/juggling for newbie’s who don’t have a hold of that yet.
Down B: Tennis racket – Will do damage, but is more of a move to set yourself up for combo/juggling (Who would have guessed!?) She pulls her racket back and bops her opponent right in the head with it, causing them to be dazed. If you are behind her when she uses this move it won’t stun you, but will actually pull you in front of her. To, oh wait you know what, combo/juggle!
Neutral B: Mario Party Dice – This move will be based on how many times you combo or juggle your opponent before you hit them with this attack. Depending on the number or either of those, the strength will differ. This move could be a powerful KO move if you combo enough.
Other Notable moves:
Her A, A, A combo will reference DDR. She will turn facing the camera, and with the first A throw her hand in the air at an angle, hitting the opponent in the face. Second A she will bring her hand down, hitting the opponent in the chest, and last she will slide her foot out and kick the opponent. The move will have little knockback or stun, but can be combed with the following move which will cause the opponent to fall.
DownA: She ducks down and slides her foot out to the side tripping her opponent.
Hopefully this isn’t all a jumble and you can get where I was going with this! If not, please tell me if it was both this one, and my Suicune one. If so, then I'll know I need to be more clear when making these.
