I don't think a kart racer and sports game are good comparisons for Smash really. It does matter. Because creating a BALANCED (Enough, well Sakurai standards) fighting third party character is probably much harder than creating a balanced kart with a character in it. If you're going to look for examples I would stick to the fighting world because of the processes it entails.

You're supposed to say those games were made with partnerships with those respective companies, so putting their characters in a Mario game was a bonus, whereas Sora is would have to go out and get the rights and junk all by its lonesome.

Not sure what the topic is right now, but here's some potential SSBU Pokemon Black/White music that my ears find sexy:

Vs. Rival Cheren (More of a serious arrangement; sweeping and orchestral take on the original.)
Vs. Rival Bianca (Light, bouncing arrangement; more like the original track.)
Vs. Team Plasma Grunt
Vs. Plasma King N
Vs. Zekrom/Reshiram
Route 1 - Unova (Just added the region name to differentiate from Kanto's Route 1.)
Pokemon Black & White - Wild Pokemon Battle
Victory Road - Unova
Vs. Gym Leader (I like the way the music changes during a Gym Leader battle in B&W when a Pokemon's HP drops low. It'd be neat to see that incorporated into the SSB arrangement.)
Vs. Champion Alder
Castelia City
Pokemon Center II (I think this is one of those iconic songs that could be afforded two different arrangements, much in the same vein as the SMB main theme. I'm thinking something electronic to contrast with the march-sounding arrangement from Brawl. End the new arrangement with the "Healing Pokemon" jingle. My life would be complete.)
Route 6 - Unova (I know that this Route shares its music with some others, but I think that 6 is the most memorable.)
Professor Juniper's Theme (Wasn't the same theme used for other professors? I seem to recall Oak using the same song when he approaches you in Red/Blue/Yellow.)

Yeah, I like those songs as well. I remember playing a game and I kept listening and re-listening to two tracks in particular: Black and White Cynthia theme and Black and White contest final battle or whatever it is battle (the new version of Kanto Champion Gary/Blue/whatever the heck you want to call him)

@Shortiecanbrawl: I'd be fine with 3-4 smaller series. Add in Little Mac, Isaac, Takamaru, and maybe Mega Man and I'm good to go in that category.

@GiantBredbug: I like your idea.

I'd like to see Forest of Illusion as a music if the setting allows it.

You mean at some points, even harder then making the game itself. That seriously made me realize how hard it is to get third-parties in and why I agree that Snake and Sonic are the first cuts that will be made (if any occur). Other cuts IMO will be to time constraints.

Typo ftw, and no, I haven't, but watched vids of other ppl playing. I just don't like him. Also, I compare him to Ganondorf because isn't he the main antagonist?

Not my conversation to be in, I suppose. But still, that tougne scene haunted me for a couple of days, and if he does get in, and it IS a taunt... Well, say hello to Taunt Parties 2.0 T_T

And besides, I doubt he'll be cut from the next game since Sakurai wanted him in Smash even back during Melee's development (though iirc it was too far into the development plan for them to put him in Melee so they put him in Brawl). And besides, Snake's addition was unexpected and rather refreshing.

And besides, Snake's addition was unexpected and rather refreshing.
Nononono silly cat, Sakurai's dear friend, Snake maker, asked during Melee's development if he could have his character in Melee, and Sakurai said it was too late. So Brawl came along, and BOOM, perfect timing. Then Sonic was pushed due to fan demand, so in a way, Sakurai never really asked for this. If Sonic and Snake are coming back, Sakurai probably knows it, or is in the midst of figuring it out as we speak. That's the interesting part. Well more so, it's the part that drives me nuts.

Third party characters are dumb. They get in the way of my Ninty characters. The reason we bought Smash in the first place. HOOTS I see you lurking, and I'll have you know, I liked Professor Layton, up until I found out he wasn't Ninty.

I don't like the idea of third-party characters being a permanent addition to Smash Bros. (that being Snake and Sonic would be in every Smash Bros. game forever). It ruins the charm.

Though I would still like to see Mega Man in Smash 4. After that though, there are no other third-party characters I would remotely be interested in getting in Smash Bros.

I am personally thinking that Snake and Sonic will return. Mega Man I also think is very likely.

If there is a fourth third-party character it will be from some developer expressing an interest to place their character into Smash Bros.

Sonic, Snake and Mega Man it'll probably be. Don't like it, but its very likely that Snake and Sonic will stay. And even though I couldn't care less about him, Mega Man seems likely.

At MAX, how many characters do you think there will be on the roster?

I personally believe there will be no more than 54 or 55 for an organized roster.

I meant a roster that's not soooo full of characters that it's completely impractical. Also, it would be easier for the developers to design the layout of the character selection screen if the number of characters is easily placed into rows and columns that make sense graphically.

Anyways, what's good? Today, I got a new (B) set made by my friend ToTheFace! (New Sm4sh journalist, also a fan of Victini).

So, this is a Victini set. I want yoiu guys to rate it, plz.

Victini, ToTheFace! set:

(B): Work Up/Stored Power Combo
Victini clenches it's fists, and begins to glow. Charge takes as long as Lucario's (B). But once fully charged, press the (B) button again, and Victini will forme a purple "V" on it's forehead, and the headbutt forward. The V goes as fast as Lucario's (B), But if fully charged, instead of exploding on impact, it'll push-lock an opponent, like Issac's AT move.

(B)>: Flare Blitz
It covers it's entire body with fire, and dashes forward. Works like Peach's (B)>, but keeps going until you let go of the (B) button. He takes some recoil once you release the (B) button, but this move is extremely strong. It has the power of Bowser's (A)>Smash. The drawback is that you take more recoil after hitting someone, and you can't pivot. But when you turn on fire, you can turn around, like Captain Falcon. When used in the sky, you go directly down, doing a little more recoil, but more damage on the opponent.

(B)v: Reversal
It's body glows for a second, and he gets into a throw stance. If someone hits Victini, it'll grab them, and throw them upwards, then get above them quickly, and stomp them to the ground, making them knockback toward's Victini's eyesight. Does dmg equivelent to the attack's power.

(B)^: Final Gambit
He starts off with a jump. If he's attacked by anyone in the air, he grabs them, and darts straight down. Try using it with a higher advantage. If not, press the shield or (B) button and it'll cancel the effect.
