New Smash Bros for WiiU

This post shows how much Smash 4 has riding on it. A game I would daresay, pretty much can make or break the Nintendo core community.

Pshhhaw, I have been saying that for months now. Super Smash Bros is Nintendo's ace card, and as little as Sakurai may be into development of the title you better believe Nintendo as a company is going to want to present SOMETHING to be able to entice an audience that is already skeptical of their new system. I expect Nintendo to be firing on all cylinders.

So I was right in assuming that people would be upset if Sakurai renamed Ness "Ninten" because people would see it as replacing Ness with Ninten instead of renaming Ness "Ninten".

Somethings been on my mind lately, and you're welcome to hear me out.

We've been going back and forth for months discussing character options that we expect, yet don't expect. Turing in a roundabout way with conversation and nobody seems to have the proper criteria to properly satisfy a slot.

Have we been approaching this the wrong way? News of a fourth makes us excited enough to bring out our snazzy rosters, but for what?

Its been expressed rather clearly that there is something else on the agenda for the approach to this new game, but what that is seems so far fetched that I doubt any of us have come close to what that really means. Sorry to go "philosophical" as seems to be a key word in these circles, but where is the satisfaction? This is a game after all, should we expect to have fun or is fun even attainable anymore? If some of us are correct, the formula is working great and fantastic as is, others desire expansion but are ridiculed by others premonitions of time and effort.

Tell me forum, what is the next Smash?

I'm not quite sure if these lists are what N wants... In response to that, I cannot know. Everyone has their own tastes and therefore will/will not like certain aspects of the game. But this applies to just about anything, does it not?

An ideal situation is having the smash game fit everyone's criteria, however the obvious problem is there's not enough time, or there's not enough space, so on and so forth. Therefore, people start to get picky, and when people start to get picky, they start to be less accepting of other Ideas because they believe that their own ideas are what would benefit the game the most and while the other person's idea might be a "nice idea" they believe it will not benefit the game as much as "this" or "this".

Of course we have some mainstream Ideas, such as better wi-fi and better story mode, so on. But then there are character debates, conflicting moveset ideas and so on that tend to be split between people.

Is this what you are asking N? Or are you on a completely different track to what i'm thinking?

That's really the insight I'm concerned over. I'm really concerned about the acclaim of the game, I guess you could call it quality.

Each title has its own spectrum of that quality, the outlook of what they focused on accomplishing throughout their developments. This next one seems so out there, I'm not sure if I like or dislike that the face of the series is overseen by one mind (what an honor).

I can only hope that its based on propriety and not Bias. Its mostly faith by now.

Kamek (I think Baby Bowser could fit in the Yoshi series roster too)

Ahh, I see what you mean.

Well so far the series has been good, and said one mind has accomplished 3 games that fulfill a wide spectrum of players. You could say the 4th one is yet another test to see whether it makes it or breaks it, but I am confident, or if you'd like to use that word, faithful, that they'll do a good job on it.

Which leads to why i'm not so sure about doing a roster, because I'd like to keep my mind open and doing a roster might make me choose and become less open minded. Atm, i'm actually pretty flexible about what I want to see. that is to say, I like to put forth Ideas, but I don't usually discredit others (Except for that one time where I did, I guess that was a response to another person discrediting other people's ideas, man that was too heated for my tastes....)

I know, I'll just do 1 of each, that'll be fine, methinks.

Okay, so realistic number 1: Actually, on further thought, I can't decide for this one. XD

Unrealistic number 1: Ark :-P

I'd also love some interesting 3rd party reps, but, awww well.

Yup, the Guy from Terranigma. He's awesome, and his final smash would have to be insane, I can imagine him going in to the middle of the screen, and just having the screen go nuts as everyone gets damaged, or something. I can't remember how, maybe it's something to do withrevival, or sharing the pain of lost souls not yet revived. Dunno. Maybe it could be a pain sharer: He and everyone else gets equal percentage? Or maybe he flips it around, and his percentage swaps with that of another char. Dunno. ^^

Just that things so complex can be described by words is an accomplishment by my eyes.

I think the philosophical viewpoint is something Star tends to point out often. Rightfully so, often we think that we're simply just speculating, often unaware that such activities are much deeper than we let them on to be.

We'll play a game because we believe it to be enjoyable and worth the time. People want this game to be worth the time, so they express their wishes in the hopes that they will be implemented. We also have objective views, such as most of us are fairly sure that there will be a gen 5/6 pokemon in the next smash, or whatever, but our arguments almost always arise from subjective views.

I think i just stated the obvious. I often end up going in circles with my philosophical thinking. :-P

hmm... Here's an interesting philosophical question that is heard quite a lot: Why do bad things happen to good people? Which then sparks the question: Can we really know answers to such questions? Is the human mind capable of it? etc.

Then the negative aspects of life are in themselves subjective to the outcome. We may find it good to inherit the earth yet the most pressing feature of our lives is based on survival.

Yes survival, a property that imprints the very fabric of human nature on our conscience .

That's why you gotta win at smash games, for if you lose you are now a loser. Ergo, the game should be better to ensure a victory!

But most fans want Ness to be cut... I'm not one of them but I've seen a lot of people that want Ness to be cut. Anyway Ninten shouldn't get in if we get a new Earthbound rep which we won't it should be either Porky or Masked Man. If we get Ninten I'll be...
