I don't see why it should do that. In fact, it would probably make more fans all the more content. Reason being is that they'd have access to more content. No need for "2" third party reps of the same company, just one character.

Besides, there's that whole thing about Sonic and his relationship between consoles eh?

That Advance series was excellent, yet his console revisions on Nintendo were a bit of booty.

Put modern on the 3DS!

Imagine they only gave you the 8-bit version of Mario as a PC. That's what it was like getting the modern Sonic in that way.

Rare's DK64 and Brawl's models are the superior versions of DK (DK64 not in game though). DKCR was good for DK, less so for Diddy. Also, DK shouldn't show teeth. Ever.

I think they were going for a more comedic DK this time around. Which is alright by me, they succeeded.

It looks like Sonic and Knights mixed together. Any asking for Classic Sonic as a new Sega rep is like asking for 8bit Mario as a new Mario rep.

It would be a replacement, as in Young Link for Toon Link, not a 3rd party newcomer. I see nothing wrong with this since Classic Sonic has been given a revival.

To be fair, Dr. Mario WAS a playable character, and was NOT an alt costume. Therefore, even though it wouldn't happen, Classic Sonic by himself is very legit. Another arguement is Link and Toon Link/Young Link.

I'm not biased. I just don't want 2 Sonics playable. I perhaps dislike the series, but I would have no problem with a playable Tails, or Knuckles or whoever. But NOT a 2nd Sonic himself.

Now how come this idea isn't as *******ized as me wanting Impa to replace Sheik, or Chrome above Roy???

Two Sonics would be a horrible, HORRIBLE idea, no offense, but I don't see ONE reason why having 2 Sonics would even be a TOLERABLE idea in the SLIGHTEST.

Sonic + Tails/Knuckles/Shadow= Ok
Sonic + Classic Sonic= Not Ok

So...

Mario + Luigi/Peach/Bowser= Ok
Mario + Dr. Mario= Ok

I'm just saying. But I do not support two sonics because they are WAY too close to each other's appearence. (Knuckles for Sm4sh)

Here's one: Sonic Generations was a big leap in including the 3DS to the lineup of his 25 years of celebrations. There was that whole thing about having a rivalry of mascots between Sega and Nintendo's upbringing, ergo its significant.

Its the same character at the end of the day, I honestly don't see anything wrong with relating to that significance by putting one on the console version and one on the portable.

It would be incredibly more efficient than trying to reason out two Third Party reps from the same company. Thats a bad move.

Dr. Mario Still happened, though. So it wouldn't really matter how he turned out. I see no harm in two reps from Sonic. I don't see MGS returning.

DK with a teeth is just ugly. Don't care about the arcade, this is DK Jr. anyway. It makes him look far too goofy. I don't care about the arcade cause arcade DK is NOT current DK. Did DK Jr. had teeth in the arcade?

Toon Link instead of Young Link was a great idea. Having then both would be awful.

Klap Trap could make a nice Down Special. Eats away at the ground for a few moments, with some knockback at the end of the animation. Essentially a Piplup with shorter range.

Kind of how like I thought. Kind of grabbed it with the tip of his head(?) and kind of "rain-dropped" his way down. Really weird, but then again everything about him playing sports was weird yet interesting.
