Well yeah but there are no such things as 9-A or 9-B combinations in Smash up untill now. Unless the move allows you to controll a projectile or so. I'm all in for something like that in Smash 4 though...
Actually, there is in some cases. Aside from Sword Dance, we already have FSmash attacks that have different directional options.

Sooooooooooo............is 8A Usmash or Utilt? :troll:
That's an easy one. 8A for UTilt and 8A! for USmash. The only confusion out of that is if you end a sentence with an !.

So add HOW many PKMN trainers, now? Didn't you just get done saying to not add 600 characters?
I mean as alternate outfits, not with different Pokémon each. It would just be easy model swaps.

In other words, they would all still control Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard like the Pokémon Trainer in Brawl. You could rotate a trainer per different Pokémon colors. That wouldn't be too hard to design. Granting creating a character model would take one designer at least two weeks each, given the large staff size this could be accomplished for the Pokémon Trainer(s) in as early as maybe 2 months with just a few graphic designers and artists.

Plus I'm talking about making character models, not characters with different move sets who you have to balance in the game. Creating models is a heck of a lot easier than making and balancing move sets. There are probably about 600 character models between the three released smash bros. games, actually! (ironically) :laugh: That's counting playable characters, trophies, non playable characters, item charactesr (as in Mr. Saturns and Bomb-Ombs), common enemies (in the single-player), bosses, assist trophy characters, Pokéball Pokémon, background characters, and bosses of course! :chuckle:

Johnknight, I really doubt that SSB4 is going to include full attire changes/model swaps (Ex: Luigi -> Mr. L). I'm about 76% sure that they're just going to recolor everyone. It may happen Pika or Jiggly though.

Ok, I see what you mean. Still, no, they wouldn't do it, though it would be cool.

No. I'm an American, therefore no where else on a map needs to even be looked at.

I'm an American as well, but I do it anyway. That means, based on your logic, that I'm going above and beyond. Does this mean I am better than you???

@Augustaflowers
Oh hell naw, you did not just call me thumbtack. My name is Tacket. Be respectful.

@Metal
That would suck, considering how unoriginal he was back in those days.

They could. I wouldn't expect more than 5 model swaps. The Melee staff made a (then) fairly up-to-date trophy model of Misty and Professor Oak. They could easily make a few Pokémon Trainer model swaps.

I do think, they should do at least a female swap. That would definitely appeal to female players. Most female smashers I know like playing as female characters. That model swap could make them happy. It would also mean that females might be interested in playing as the Pokémon Trainer, unlike the rest of us. :awesome:

"Sorry, I was too busy being American [to listen to what you said]."

Full color changes have already happened. It's called Wario.

Here is more noticeable huge outfit changes:
  • Luigi's pink color has a darker skin tone.
  • Peach's skin gets darker in her Daisy dress, and her hair color changes.
  • Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Pichu have an array of changing hats, headbands, and other such headgear.
  • Ness' Mr. Saturn shirt/hat look completely changes his traditional shirt and hat.
  • Ness' baseball player look also changes his traditional shirt and hat.
  • Each of Kirby's "power absorbing" looks has new model designed stuff.

Wario was still Wario though.

You're saying that the Pokémon trainer should be shared between completely different people.
I think that is just bizarre, and I still doubt it would happen.

Your other examples, such as Peach's Daisy attire, are also mere palette swaps. Completely normal.

I'm African-American. That count for somethin'?
I'm part Apache and White. That means instead of skinning one another, two of my ancestors went bam chicka wam wow... and broke the law! :laugh: Capital punishment avoided. :cool:

Kinda like how Ganondorf is the only male born to a Gerudo (although they hate men) in a hundred years. Somebody broke the rules...and gets a blessed BABEH for it! :laugh: :chuckle: :glare:

Yes, but there are thousands of trainers, many with the same Pokémon. Why would it be so weird to see one female trainer and one male trainer in smash with the same Pokémon=??? You have the option to be a male or female in every canon Pokémon game anyways.

Plus who would really not want multiple different Trainer pallet swaps=??? Again, we have gotten tons of trophy characters, non-playable characters, common enemies, Assist Trophy character, Pokéball Pokémon, boss characters, and background characters in smash. Add up just Brawl and that's over 500 character models. Why would adding 6 alternate model swaps be hard at all compared to all of that=???

Wario was still wario... of course he was... but the model between overall wario and biker wario were different...
as for an example of a character being a model swap and not being that character... look at MvC3, plenty of them got an alternative costume where they weren't themselves.

Would anyone be opposed to THIS being in sm4sh?
Anyone who opposes this song in smash I have this to say to you:

YOU MUST DIE!!!!

For realZ, you gotta love that song. I would love to hear that final Bowser fight song, the classic Super Mario 64 Bowser level theme, and both Mario Galaxy games both Bowser fight themes. Maybe throw in some Ganondorf/Ganon battle music (Level 9 in the original Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past VS. Ganon, Ocarina of Time vs. Ganondorf and Ganon themes, the Wind Waker vs. Ganondorf, Twilight Princess vs. Ganondorf).

Just having Red appear with palette swaps matching the attire of the other Gen's protagonist would make more sense.

Btw: Red is the main character of Gen 1, so he has superiority over Green.

@Spark

I see your point; however, I believe that it will only work if the character's canon appearance has changed permanently (Ex: Wario). Wario had two major canon costumes, so he got a model swap.

Bada Bing Bada Boom.

The only crime Brawl committed was in not having this song. You had EVERY other favorite song of mine from this game, but not my favorite one of them all? For shame Sakurai, for shame. You must rectify this gross error in judgment.

On an unrelated topic I noticed there is a track in Skyward Sword that sounds like the audio was flipped similarly to the Main Theme. When I reverse the audio it does indeed sound like a real song; indicating to me that this song is indeed a reversal just like the main theme. Only thing is I cannot seem to figure out is what this song could be (if it is an existing track)? It sounds way too fluid in reverse to be a coincidence.

Zelda's Lullaby? or Song Of Healing? If we're talking about the same thing

edit- main theme for SS reversed is in fact Zelda's Lullaby

This is an entirely different track. The one I am referring to is actually from a boss battle. The main theme is the one that is a reverse of Zelda's Lullaby.

@Star I can definitely understand what you mean, nothing I can place my tongue on though

I'd love to see a Rainbow Road stage , especially something based off MK7's RR.
