technically yes because they are different characters with their own unique moves, even though they are the same person. i guess its more of a transformation, but they are still different from each other in terms of movesets and play style, so i count them as individual characters with different moves, but are the same person.

@Mario_and_Sonic_Guy: I don't think Ghirahim is that bad of an addition. Important one shot characters have been done before (Sheik) and while (understandably) Ghirahim may seem like a creep to you, the reaction to him has been mostly positive.

I'm fine with Ghirahim, but I severely doubt his inclusion as a playable character.

He just doesn't seem all that likely if you look back at all of the other one-shot Zelda characters.

I don't really count Sheik, since she's Zelda and that she was originally planned to be in more than one game.

She's just a part of Zelda's moveset IMO, just tacked on to give us another character and to help make unique and fill Zelda's moveset.

I don't hate Sheik, I just don't think she's much of an exception in comparison to the other one shot characters and Vaati.

Sheik and Zelda are LITERALLY the same character. They're part of eachothers movesets.

Sheik is simply an extension of Zelda. Never think of her as her OWN SELF when discussing "one shot characters"

Actually Sheik was shown before Zelda during the Melee reveal trailer. So in some ways she was more of the focal point than Zelda. As for the other villains difference between them and our pal with the fashion sense is they were all trying to be Ganondorf 2.0 with very little distinction. Ghirahim on the other hand is his own bag of insanity that is not trying to follow a set type. He was designed to contrast most of the villains through out the series, and it shows.

If there is any character he is even remotely like it would be Dimentio from Super Paper Mario.

Also, having a rediculously hard time catching the last of the platinum pokemon that run (aka Zapdos). I caught mesprit after about an hour and a half, probably the same for cresselia if not half an hour longer. The birds i've caught took ages, and after getting moltres to slim red health and paralyzed him (which took about 5 tries) it took me about another 30 tries to actually catch him. About 100 tries later (aka last night) i finally caught Articuno on high red. Zapdos is on low yellow but none of my mains can do anything that won't kill him (although Giratina hasn't tried yet, the quick claw hasn't worked for him yet but maybe the absence of the Griseous orb will help?)

Also i've also thought of Zant as different from ganon, but then again he's not the main villain, only a secondary.

Yeah my brother was a bit hesitant about playing Skyward Sword at first but then he saw Good Game's review and now he'd like to get it so it looks like we'll be getting part of the action.

The main problem is that if it's a prequel to OoT, then it doesn't make sense: "Oh, suddenly i CAN leave the forest!?" Says innocent young Link.

Actually I think the opposite is true. Zelda would not have gotten in unless Sheik was added. Sheik was one of the most requested Zelda character out of the Melee polls. She was also one of the first characters revealed.

If you would have seen the applause for Sheik you just might change your tune a tad. Sheik is one of those funny characters who despite being an alter ego manages to seem like a separate entity altogether.

Along with Young Link they did. Ganondorf received a whopping thirty six votes which placed him as the fifth most requested character for Melee in general. Here is the shocking part, despite all of those requests he almost did not make it. The only reason he got in, and as a clone at that, is because his proportions were similar to Capt. Falcon's. It is sad to think but if that observation had not had happened we probably would not have had him in Melee.

This sums up my thoughts on Ghirahim, Demise, and Impa's chances of being playable in Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS pretty nicely.

No. Yuffie is terrible. "Hey GAIZ! TRUBLES HAPPENIN!" is pretty much all she does/says. Plus I hate Final Fantasy VII. The story is overrated, the characters are one-dimensional or whiny, the translation is terrible, and the game play feels like an inferior Final Fantasy IV-VI. However, the graphics were incredible for its' time. Kafka is where it's at though. Kafka FTW!

Actually i liked FF X quite a bit (and my brother thinks it's the most enjoyable FF he's ever played, in terms of RPG and gameplay too), but for the most part i have to agree with you John, in that FFs 4 to 6(Or 2, 3 and 5 in japan) were amazing, and yes, kefka is pretty darn insane. i mean, SERIOUSLY, CLIMBING UP A TOWER OF FLESH!

Also, when is this mind-blowing thing happening? i have to go in 20 min.

I obviously started it all, II had a great story for its' time (it literally ripped it off Star Wars), III brought the awesome "job" system (which then wasn't a hassle), IV had an incredible gameplay, summons, and story (5 choose able characters at a time FTW!), V had amongst the best battle game play of all-time, and VI had an incredible story, amazing bosses, and just was all-around mind-blowing.

I don't own or have ever played Platinum Version, but this sounds exactly like how hard it was to catch Entei and Raikou in Crystal Version. I still haven't caught Entei in Crystal!

Yeah, this all makes sense, including Kamek beating Geno. Kamek was sort of represented in Paper Mario back then with one specific Magikoopa being Bowser's right hand man early in the game. Kamek has been in more games than Geno. Some knew then that Geno was owned by Square Soft. Paper Mario was originally titled "Super Mario RPG 2." Bomberman also may have beaten Mega Man because classic Mega Man was pretty dead then, and Bomberman is owned by Hudson (which as of January 2011 it is owned by Konami). Hudson Soft has always been especially close to Nintendo. Wario even appeared in a Bomberman game.

I've been watching the old pokemon movies because i used to watch them when i was a kid and now i'm going to watch every single episode of pokemon and play as many gens as i can :D

And yes, i agree with you on the FFs. BTW have you ever played Final Fantasy battle Tactics Advanced? it's a fairly old game but really great and the battling system is really technical. Also, that place where there are no judges and therefore your characters die instead of fiainting really scares me. XD
