When I begin to see Phoenix Wright avatars it is never a good indicator of things to come...

In my attempt to change topics Reggie seemed to indicate there would be more big games for the Wii next year. Some people are still holding out hope that this is indicative of the "Rainfall" trio being released in America. There is nothing to really indicate that they will or will not at this moment, but how would you guys view this in terms of Smash Bros. Do you all think it will make it easier for Sakurai to include more content from any of ther games in Super Smash Bros? Just want to get some thoughts.

As I've said my gut tells me to expect a Xenoblade stage that utilizes music from Xenoblade as well as The Last Story and Pandora's Tower. Not only would Xenoblade lend a great visual presence as a stage having a more natural stage would be interesting especially if it incorporates a day/night mechanic. Even without a character I am anticipating a stage. The one thing I do know about Sakurai is he enjoys incorporating stages that can visually impress in both detail and grandeur. This hypothetical stage fits the bill.

Going back to the topic of Waddle Dee, I find it stupid that people are suggesting Sheeda as an alternative to him. She is not even a lord. If anyone wants spear user from Fire Emblem, it will be Ephraim. Also, she nearly always fights mounted on a pegasus. However, I chalk this up to stupid female character requests due to a dearth of actual important Nintendo females. Fortunately, the release of Kid Icarus Uprising will fix this.

On the topic of more Wii games next year, we will definitely be getting Rhythm Heaven Wii and Mario Party 9. I am also expecting Xenoblade and/or Last Story. As to those games getting content in Smash 4, the most I expect those games to get are some trophies and stickers, and perhaps an Assist Trophy.

Maybe, but overall I wouldn't be surprised if we saw at least some content from those games even if they are not released in America.

I personally it similar to the inclusion of content from Fire Emblem and Mother 3.

Maybe I am the only one who just see's Sakurai making that Xenoblade (Gaur Plains) stage? I have a gut feeling on this one like nothing else. It just seems perfect. The only other stages I have that gut feeling about are with an Epic Yarn stage and the Starship Mario.

Either way I support Shiida for becoming playable and I personally don't think being a Lord really matters in her case. Also she can technically fight on two feet, she did in FE3 (mounting and de-mounting).

Rainfall would be epic to see get released in America.

Also, I definitely think Sakurai can add more content, especially with the bigger smash staff (which is now hiring), and probably the longer development time. Smash Bros. 3DS and Wii U will probably be mid-life titles, which relieves the stress of releasing said games so early (especially given that the Wii U keeps getting pushed back).

I think we should see Xenoblade stickers and trophies. That should be a given in a perfect world, and there's no reason it wouldn't happen if it comes out outside of Japan, or if it is getting pushed to be released worldwide. A stage, of course, is still a definitely possibility.

The Hub Ship is either Mario Galaxy games, the Battle Airship from Super Mario Bros. 3, and perhaps a sky-based area in Skyward Sword all seem likely to me.

I don't think it will matter to much. Just make the decision clearer. I figure Xenoblade stuff will get in anyway. I haven't played the game (can you guess why), so I can't say what the stage will be.

Sakurai has received copies of the new MGS anniversary games (MGS2, 3, and Peace Walker in HD on the PS3), Sakurai complaining about changes to the PSN system, Sakurai receiving a Dragon Quest game, and Sakurai receiving Super Mario 3D Land from Shigeru Miyamoto himself (with a signed note).

Also, apparently there is a new scientific FACT that every time you say Waluigi should be in smash, that a puppy dies. So yeah... don't promote Waluigi being playable in smash.

Totally agreed. Only Fire Emblem Lords who are the main character of their game should be playable. (the Black Knight would make a great boss)

Personally, I think the only candidates for a smash bros. spot (given the current roster limitations) should be Marth, Roy, Ike, Chrome, and any future clear main character and Lord in the series. I mean, you could make cases for other characters, but Hector isn't the clear main character even though he has an awesome axe, Ephraim is just like Roy, Lyn also isn't a clear main character, the twins in The Sacred Stones just don't seem "fit" (as much as I love them), and Micaiah is overshadowed in Radiant Dawn by an older and more bad a** Ike.

Heck, even the only Fire Emblem Assist Trophy character was a Lord.

Perhaps Miyamoto just loves him like a son=??? Miyamoto was Sakurai's mentor, after all.

As for Kojima he's been Sakurai's friend pre-dating Melee. I got a feeling they send each other games all the time. I got a feeling Snake is already pre-confirmed to appear in future smash bros. games between them.

It was a few weeks ago. Kojima and Sakurai have been friends for more than a decade. That's part of the reason Snake got into Brawl so easily.

Sheeda is a character that has never been a lord, and almost always fights on a pegasus (and when she is dismounted she only uses a sword just like other dismounted pegasus knights).

As to Fire Emblem characters with a "reasonable" shot, its pretty much only Roy and Chrome.

Sakurai is looking for international appeal. If they do release here, I will consider them a serious possibility to gain a character or at least a stage.

Nah, the Victini vs. Zoroark vs. Genesect debate will get HUUUUGGEEE once we get a reveal trailer, unless we have a clear cut popularity "winner" beforehand, or one of them is revealed in said reveal trailer.

Trust me, nutcases who think Victini would be a clone will show up (although it is a possibility; Ganondorf being a Captain Falcon clone was something no one saw coming).

Ike says hi. I don't think Ike is a given, but I think he should be. There is still a chance that Ike could get cut, which in my opinion would be awful (like when Mewtwo was cut).
