I wouldn't have lasted in the old thread very long if it was that serious...

I'm probably one of the most jokey posters you'll ever find in this thread.

Who's your friend Toise?

Defnitely a Water guy. Blast/Fer/Swamp/Emp/Sam have all been my choices. (Well, I DID choose Cyndaquil in Gold, BUT KNOW ONE HAS TO KNOW)

Hopefully, if they go with a new trainer, they stick with "Most popular" formula, not a 3rd Fire, 2nd Grass, 1st Water thing. Fer/Bay/Cyn is the best choice for 2nd gen.
I just pick whoever I like more. :)
I picked Squirtle in Kanto, Cyndaquil in Johto, Mudkip in Hoenn, Turtwig in Sinnoh, and Tepig in Unova. I now, of course, have every starter in Unova right now, so it's hard to pick a clear favorite.
I agree with the most popular idea, Shortie. Although I think they sorta did that with Charizard... Anyway. For third Gen. Trainer, what would the order be? I think it would be Swampert, Combusken, Treecko, but that's after considering that Mudkip only looks like a fighter as Swampert. Or personal preference. It's hard for me to differentiate between the two sometimes. :p

I'd say Treeko(sp?),Marshstomp, and Blaziken

Has anyone ever made a K.Rool moveset?

The old thread was definitely much more straight laced than it is with this thread. Ideas were much more scrutinized and discussed in detail than the quick synopsis style that we seem to have adopted here. The slower pace of the old thread meant it was not that difficult to go back and discuss ideas. Where as here this thread eats pages like Pacman.

I'd like to pretend Tabuu didn't happen, even if I did make that epic GMV based on the SSE.

Now for the dual-sword Ganondorf moveset.

B: Gerudo Flip
This is a mix of Cammy's Hooligan Combination and Akuma's Demon Flip/Hyakkishu. This move is one of Ganondorf's best ways to approach as his speed isn't great. This move starts with Ganondorf flipping in the air toward the opponent. Here are the inputs for the types of attacks he gets while in this state:

B: Stab to behind, to counter anyone trying to roll to get behind him.
Side B: Grabs the opponent's head and knocks them to the ground with a ground bounce. Counters blocking.
Down B: Does an inward strike with both swords while diving in. Counters anyone rolling back to evade.
Up B: Stabs forward, countering anyone jumping away.
A: Cancel out of the jump, can be used to counter spot dodgers. Allows you to use any attack available to you.

Doing nothing just gives you a nice forward jump.

Side B: This move is a rekka type attack like Marth's Sword Dance.
The first move is a low swing to the ground. This move is safe on block and a nice spacing tool as Ganondorf moves a bit for this move. The second hit is Ganondorf lauching the opponent into the air with him following up and then here comes the fun part. Depending on what you want to have for your reward, there are three options you can choose from:

Hit #3:
Up-Side B: Ganondorf does a fierce attack that sends the opponent straight up in the air. Used as an aerial reset as Ganondorf, if done from the ground, can go straight into a double jump to keep on the offensive.
Side B: Strong dual stab that sends the opponent flying horizontally. Used for horizontal K.O.s and to regain control of the stage. This is the strongest of the three outcomes as no mixup potential is available from this.
Down-Side B: A downward strike to the opponent. At higher percentages, this can spike. Other than that, this can be used like Side B, but with the bonus of having a tech chase.

Down B: Big Mistake
Ganondorf enters a parry stance and if attacked, he grabs the opponent, whether they're in the air or not, and does the famous choke move in Brawl. Has all of the followups you've seen in assorted mods. The biggest weakpoints for this move is that it's weak against grabs and cross-up attacks like Fox Illusion and aerials that leave the opponent out of Ganondorf's grab range.

Up B: Winds of Death
This move is essentially like MvC3 Jill's Machine Gun Spray hyper. Ganondorf takes a leap, doing a slide flip with both swords extended. If the last hit lands, you get a ground bounce.

Ganondorf is still a heavy hitter, but now he has the range, mobility options, and the mixups to compensate. He has great horizontal recovery for a heavy character, but his vertical recovery is lacking as a result.

I'm surprised I managed to come up with that while keeping it very Smash-like.
If you ever wanted to see how Smash would be in Kuma's world, here it is. Basically, every move is from another fighting game. No originality. No fun allowed.

@Oasis
I'm doing out of spite against SmashChu.
OH. God forbid that you look at other games as they are more relevant and have cool idea, or to broaden your normal parroting of "Smash needs to be more like fighting games BRAWWWWWWWK" Yes, you are broadening your horizon to spite me.

Never change Kuma.

Now that I think about it... What would the plot in the next Adventure Mode be?
...
*Just realized I'm a Journeyman now*
Huh? Wait... I'm a Journeyman now?
YES! I've been an Apprentice for SO LONG! :D

@KumaOso: The art style doesn't seems to be reminiscent of Kirby. There seems to be more of a realistic tone to it and not enough color. I say both games should have their own style like the original.

That's the main problem with the thread though. I'm too lazy to read the 10 new pages that pop up everyday. Although, things are getting slower as the days come by...... Maybe it's because I skip a lot of posts.

^ Or maybe we still barely know **** about the games other than that they're coming (and that they will have interconnectivity) 5 months after the announcement....

From Pokemon starters to remixing movesets. Glad to see I missed nothing important.
Charmander/Cyndaquil/Treecko/Piplup/Snivy
Or
Bulbasaur/Totodile/Mudkip/Chimchar/Oshawott

My choices, 1st one being my favorites.

As for move remixing...

Bowser (My new 2nd in command):

(B): Fire Ball
I suppose this would make perfect sense. Bowser usually spits giant fire balls at Mario. I didn't understand why that didn't follow suit in SSB...
He takes 2 seconds to charge in, then spits a slow fire ball forward. When it connects with a wall or person, it'll explode, doing DMG 1.5 character spaces behind and in front. When it connects with a person, they take huge knockback and DMG (it's slow, you better be able to dodge it T_T).
DMG: Connect to person: 17%. Explosion: 5%.

(B)>: Suplex
Can't change this move. If both of you have 1 stock, use it near edge, grab person, FALL IN PIT. They die first. Like a mean, mean boss, Bowser :awesome:

(B)v: Bowser Drop
Like his normal one, but this can be canceled by pressing L/R or (B). It'll make him inactive, though. Like DDD with (B)^ cancel.

(B)^: Koopa Spiral
Same as Brawl, but can go higher and have better grabbing distance to the edge. Can lock opponents in it on the ground.

FS: Giga Bowser
Take a wild guess what this does.

This just in. There's nothing new under the sun. I could find an equivalent of most of the attacks in Smash easily. I don't know what the hell you're expecting, but I'm willing to bet that if I never mentioned things like Rekka, Demon Flip, or Machine Gun Spray, you might have been fine, but you oppose just about anything I say while not contributing yourself.

Oh sure. Good luck trying to find similar attacks to Final Smashes like Cook Kirby and Octopus. Yeah, because other fighters have attacks that are SO similar. :glare:

Cook Kirby is basically this minus dragging every one in the pot:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SOaBBOd4zg

To a certain extent (no pun intended), you could find an equivalent of Game and Watch's Octopus with Phoenix Wright's Objection Mode as his finger attack extends out like the tentacles.

You may not have attacks that LOOK like these attacks in other fighting games, but you do have a attacks that are functionally the same.

Got any other "original" attacks? I'll see if I can find equivalents in other games.

NO, NO NO!! I'm not a cat, I should be a ferocious dragon since I'm feared by many.

Also, hello peeps.
One, you're not feared by anyone.

Two, regarding the list, why the heck am I a frickin' cat?

Oasis is the Plusle to my minun. The HeartGold to my SoulSilver. The B I to my T C H. We're cats, Omega is not. And I don't know of anyone who is scared of OMega. The laughing we do isn't a nervous one. :troll: Omega can be a pug. Try Hi is a Sassy Weasle. Kuma is a nice bear that lets me sleep on his back because that's what nice bears do. Toise is the mean, unloving step father. He has no personified animal. His demenor is fierce enough. Like Project Runway. ANYWAYS, I win the off topic award of the night. MEOW.
Who would I be?

Most definitely, I don't always appreciate as much as I should, but I really enjoy including you guys as a part of my life.
Something about a Cybernetic community yada... in the loosely paraphrased words of Starphoenix.

On a different note, I'm pretty 'hyped' that KumaOso has been chatty lately. Something we've discussed has recently been on my mind .
Welcome back, nLiM8D. ;)

I can see what you mean, but this was merely a suggestion. My ideal look is to go with a hologram motif based off of the AR cards. This was, every one can retain their distinct art styles to better emphasize the crossover nature. I'd love to see Mario and Peach have the cartoony look, Donkey Kong has the DKCR look, Link and Zelda with that gorgeous SS look, Toon Link properly cel-shaded. All in all, I'd like to not see realistic details in character models unless the character already had them (i.e. Snake, the fur on the SF characters, etc.).
Great idea. I thought Brawl took the wrong art direction when it applied a TP-look on all the characters to fit in with TP Link (IMO). I'd like to see everyone with their own unique style from their own games.

The whole "training card" idea would work well as a backbone holding together the often unconnected aspects of crossover games like Smash Bros. Training cards, complete with 3D hologram models, could easily replace trophies as the main collectible (as much as I like trophies). They would also take advantage of the 3DS's features.

Of course, this had all been said before, but trading cards would work well.

I do, actually. Puff Up, Giga Bowser, Iceberg, and End of Day. I also watched the video. HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH IS THAT AT ALL LIKE COOK KIRBY?!

Hey guys! What's going---

Whatever. Crash Kirby for final smash and there's nothing wrong with copying moves from other games. It's just unoriginal BUT wait...... Isn't Mario's fireballs like Hadoken? Lol.... Wait... Luigi's fireball is way more similar

Hmm... You've definitely got some better examples this time around.

Puff Up is a crappy version of things like the Burst techniques in BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, TvC, etc. Giga Bowser is like past supers that give you some kind of buff like Bang's FRKZ, Jill's Mad Beast, Yun's Genei-Jin, and Sol-Badguy's Dragon Install. In this case, you're bigger, attacks are stronger, and you're in perpetual hyper armor. Iceberg is like most attacks that come out of the ground, except it stays out longer and is bigger.

Yoroitoshi is like Cook Kirby in that both moves are grabs and inflict damage once they've grabbed them. Ibuki's through Qi while Kirby's is through having them in a hot pot.

I meant Luigi's fireballs.

Either way, Street Fighter got first right....? Which means Chu is calling all the moves unoriginal. WAIT. But most of the moves' animations come from the Kirby series. He's saying every move is unoriginal?

Meh. Never mind. That's how the fireballs really work in Mario games anyway
