New Smash Bros for WiiU

The most RPG elements I see being added would be Sticker power ups and a leveling up system similar to the KI games or, like Asage said, Zelda 2.

Overall it should just stay in Adventure mode or a separate mode like the UMvC3's H&H mode.

That'd always work in a pinch. But like I said about Pokemon characters, its a gamble to choose new gameplay modes. I didn't like the Trophy Shooter..

@---: The Palutena moveset looks good. My only complaint is her weight. I kind of pictured her being moderately heavy, considering the equipment that she's wearing.

I though many of her special moves maybe overpowered. So I thought it would be better to make her easier to kill, especially when she has about Ganondorf's hitbox size. She is a tall woman.

Personally I thought she may act like how Mewtwo does with his floating so I thought that might transition over.


Still I will change the moveset when we get more Uprising info. Which makes me feel a little bad for rushing the moveset. lol

Genres have differences to themselves. For example, Stealth games. There's Black ops, known as "Optional" Stealth (See the achivements). But there are games, like Metal Gear, or something, that in some cases, you must not be seen thoughout the entire game.

Overall, SSB is a popular title, with an original concept (In main action, anyways). SF and gang share a concept. Not saying they automatically suck, though, don't get me wrong.

You want different types of fighting games? There's Street Fighter, MvC, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, Darkstalkers, Mortal Kombat etc. for 2D fighters. Then there's Tekken, Virtua Fighter, and Soul Calibur on the 3D side. At the very least. Do they all involve KO-ing the opponent? Who said jumping's bad? Also, I did not say that all fighting games cannot be the same to SSB. But SSB has the knockbacks as the "How to Kill" which only spin-offs like that new game Cartoon Smash-up or watever the **** thats called.

Inspiration =/= Knockoff.

I played Power Stone second, but they both have very similar gameplay. Albeit, the major differences are 3D gameplay and 2D gameplay. And we didn't get a special form like a Final Smash till Brawl. But they do share similarities overall.

I don't think you can turn off Items in Power Stone, notably. But it's a Beat-'Em-Up style fighter. Smash is too, but it delves more into the technical aspect at times by allowing us to remove items and stages.(and enforce SOME rules, although not all are easy)

I guess that's understandable. Personally, I'd think that Palutena would be tied with Lucario's weight. Being floaty doesn't necessarily mean that you're lightweight; Samus proves that.

I have to disagree with Shortie's stance on Pokemon Trainer. Shortie, you seem to be thinking of him as Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard are three separate characters. It seems to me it was intended that all three characters are one character: Pokemon Trainer (Red). Sure, they could have had him throwing pokeballs and using a bike or fishing pole, but I think the way he was implemented was the best way to go.

Pokemon Trainer was intended to be played as one character. The character was designed to play as Pokemon Trainer. Not Charizard or Squirtle or Ivysaur, but Pokemon Trainer. The flaws you mentioned are only flaws if the three Pokemon were each intended to be their own character, but that wasn't the case. They were all intended to be part of Pokemon Trainer.

That being said, the character certainly has room for improvement. Stamina probably should be removed for the sake of being truer to the game (which is clearly what they're going for with this character). The only time in the game that anything resembling stamina takes place is when a Pokemon is poisoned.

Good point. It's funny though, when I was deciding her attributes I really did consider many of Samus's attributes. Of course, being overpowered made me uneasy and I settled on what I thought might nerf her the most.

Of course, if I'm going to nerf some of her moves now I will definitily take your suggestions in to consideration.

Have to agree with you here. Bowser, Mewtwo, Ganondorf, and other probably should have been broken beyond reason if they were 100% true to the game. I'd be willing to bet that Sakurai and his staff could make any Pokemon playable, and that Pokemon could fall anywhere on the tier list, as well as not be overpowered in casual matches.
