Anime character or festival mascot, it seems like Imajin is a Nintendo character. His game is done by Miayamoto and as i've been saying, it is the reason for a lot of what we have in the Mario universe now. Anyway, if ROB can get in because Nintendo see's him as having a lot of important historical value, I think Imajin can too.

In terms of chances, there's not much to discuss. Ridley is among the most likely newcomers and Dark Samus is unlikely. But other stuffs, I'm all for it. Oasis_S provided a great move set for Ridley.

No from what I see, Dark Samus has a lot of unique potentials which would make for a great fighter if she got in. However, moveset potentials means almost nothing for character's chances and she is likely to be a quick clone if Ridley is not in. Although I still don't think we'll be seeing any Metroid rep not named Ridley.

Other than being aesthetically pleasing, Dark Samus has a few unique abilities revolving around Phazon like being able to heal from Phazon and create pillars of pure Phazon, too.

While I can see Dark Samus sharing similar moves to Samus, there are key differences. First off, Dark Samus' attacks could have Phazon-induced effects, which could cause slight continuation of damage, like the Lip Stick. Samus has nothing like that. Dark Samus can also hover above ground. Samus herself can't.

But the main reason? Dark Samus' Final Smash. What about it? While it could be like Samus', Dark Samus would keep its form intact. There is no such character as a "Dark Zero Suit Samus," you know.

There are already a few Alice supporters out their, but they are very quiet and I doubt a re-release on the Virtual Console will do much for her chances. Plus with Sakurai shooting Balloon Fighter down, I don't see them adding Alice.

Dark Samus is dead, and so are her chances. The only way I see Sakurai adding Dark Samus is if he is either unable to work Ridley out (wanting to give Metroid fans some type of consolation) or simply wishes to buff the roster. No matter what people may say Dark Samus is by definition a clone of Samus. Her differences are in her behavior and attacks, and the fact she is really a Metroid in a suit. She has enough moves to be unique, but all the while being built off of Samus.

My sentiments exact, I honestly would support such a character for that reason, maybe an obscure choice NOBODY is expecting to see and therefore people say she "unlikely" well.....how so??

A twin image of Samus, encountered near the beginning of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Dark Samus is identical to Samus in every way but color-- she even uses similar attacks. There are many theories on the origin of Dark Samus, but none are proven. Dark Samus uses Phazon for energy and can absorb it to heal damage. Samus encounters Dark Samus a number of times.

That reminds me. Someone a while back mentioned "retro" versions of Smash characters, like Melee's Captain Falcon against the Wii U version of Falcon. I actually consider Falco in Melee to be the "retro" Fox from the N64, due to him using Fox's old moveset. Could you see that happening for Dark Samus?

It is such a shame about Dark Samus. I supported her, still do in a way, eagerly as a character for Brawl. Never happened. None the less just because I favor a character does not mean I ignore reality. Palette swaps are disgraces and cheap substitutes for what people really want. Poor man's clones.

No more of that vertical arrangement crap. Vertical arrangements always make a roster appear smaller than it is. Horizontal is the way to go, spread them out.

I think Dark Samus would be a Samus clone. Ridley is IMHO much more feasible, despite how big it is and how much downgrading will be required.

I actually like the vertical arrangement that was in Brawl. It is much easier to find characters you want to play with (in comparison to how Melee's screen would look). I'm hoping for one again in SSB4, even if it makes the roster "smaller".
