Meh, that segement could have been much better. The only game footage they had was from Smash 64, Brawl, Red, Blue, Yellow, Snap, and Stadium.

So over all only the Smash Pokemon characters minus Lucario and Pichu were shown.

They did the main theme, Gen 1 battle theme, Anime Team Rocket, and Victory theme.

I came at the Team Rocket theme.

While I can't say for sure it'll catch Sakurai's attention unless he gets TT to work on SSB4's soundtrack. Of which I would like to happen. :3

Anyway VGL plays hundreds of shows each year in front of thousands of people all around the world so there is still at least some impact.

Having been twice to VGL and having helped worked on the Mega Man Segment, I can say it is a major event in the gaming industry.

As for chances, based on how they handled it, if anything this majorly helps Red and Jigglypuff who were represented in the segment just as much as Pikachu. I still have to look for if they did the JP song though.

Wow, something interesting indeed, even if it doesn't catch Sakurai's eye on a huge scale; one could say that the impact of it might a least create a "dent" of opportunity, if this means anything then I can say for sure that Jiggs changes are probably secured and Pokemon Trainer (RED) might not get replaced, personally I hope he does get replaced by another trainer but (only if) we don't get two trainers, otherwise I wouldn't mind him at all.

Of course, but most PKMN fans I've talked to (and on Serebii, that's alot), they've reconized the name by facing him on Gold and Silver, which was odd, due to the name from the very beginning, which was simply Red.

As for Blue, that was exactly what I was thinking

Link is Link. Always I name him Link on the Game. (Except on the toon series, I name him Faker ^^)

I think the costumes are what you listed, but without Green and Blue. Yellow is out of this equation I see..?

Not as recolors. As new brawlers overall. Not that any of them will get in. Except maybe Red or Ethan (Oh god, please, let Ethan get a chance! He had his own story for an anime with Raikou!!)

U alrdy know I didn't support, nor do, PKMN Trainers. The Stanima and switch issue was too much to make Red a pretty ill-balanced character.

Switch on Death makes sense logic-wise. If one of your 3 characters died, you'd go to the next one. I don't see a problem with it if we apply logic. Albeit, yeah, it'd odd that you can switch back to them anyway.

May I point out that the duck hunting dog is simply a terrible choice.

The thing is, he isn's Tingle. He doesn't have a "hate" base that's equal/smaller than his fan base. He's DHD... His fanbase barely reaches the thirty mark. It's not that anyone here HATES him, or that hate is ever really a problem, it's that no one wants him.
