New Smash Bros for WiiU

I think I've lost track of what we're talking about again. This is how I see it:

Pikachu
Jigglypuff
Mewtwo
Red
Lucario
5th Gen Pokemon

I'm just sayin' 2 new Pogkémon reps (1 for Gen 5, 1 for Gen 6) is possible.

And that Pokémon = long hours for years (I still play all my Pokémon games from time to time).
Star Fox = forgetting about the game after a year that isn't Star Fox 64 (I play it on occasion).

Okay, I see what you are saying Johnny boy, two news reps is possible, but the way I see it is Lucario and Mewtwo instead of Genesect and Victini/Zoroark

But yeah, I guess I agree on the 6 slot thing (8 characters total). That would be nice. It would look something like this:

1. Pikachu
2. Jigglypuff
3. The Pokémon Trainer (Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard)
4. Lucario
5. Mewtwo
6. Zoroark/Victini.

I prefer Zoroark a little bit more, but I think Victini stands a little better chance since it is cuter and more marketable. Then again, Lucario isn't cute... >.>

Maybe a 6th Gen rep gets spot #7... >.>

Honestly, through gen 4 would be enough for me.

I'd take Meowth after those 10 choices (11 if you count Plusle and Minun as separate).

Typhlosion vs. Charizard IMO.

I like Typlosion a lot, but Charizard is way better, has more moves, and is much more unique. Plus he fits better in smash. If the PT didn't have that dumb time limit, Charizard would be boss in tournaments, or at least mid-tier tournaments.

I would probably be disappointed, because I WANT MORE FROM SMASH!!!! Plus the Wii's capabilities are very minimal...

But really, if there was still a smash bros. Wii U/3DS game being developed, I would be fine otherwise, but I think it would be forgotten by the next smash game...

Since we're still on Pokemon, here's a Poke Ball idea I did a while back for those who didn't see it, or are new.

Basically, you'd use Qwilfish as a club. You'd pick it up (like Bonsly), only by the tail. Basically, its move would be Toxic Spikes. You'd be able to hit the opponent similar to a Home Run Bat, only do less initial damage, but the opponent would then be clouded in a purple poisonous aura that would damage similar to the poison gas in the SSE. However, if the opponent attacks you while you're holding Qwilfish, he will drop off of you, and disappear by diving into the stage. The poison will keep damaging the foe until Qwilfish is removed.


Any thoughts on this?

I thought the concept would be interesting.

agreed, Pokemon Trainers stamina was one of the most stupid things Sakurai could have given him, it woukd have been much better if they were left like the rest of the characters, since I really like Squirtle alot but due to the stupid time limit I am forced to change with someone I suck with, same applies when I die, it shouldn't switch to the next Pokemon automatically, a switch button could be implemented for switching manually without any time limit instead.

Agreed. Although I have been wondering what the tier list would look like if we gave each Pokemon their own separate spot.

Magikarp should replace Goldeen as the worthless Pokeball you get.

Also, is there anyway to show who is being marketed stronger out of Zoroark and Victini? I've heard that it was Victini and I've heard it was Zoroark.

I guess, although Goldeen was the first worthless Pokemon in the cartoon, dating all the back to the 2nd episode. Seeing as Smash was in development at the same time (I think) it's no surprise Goldeen got in over Magikarp despite it's iconic status today.

oh..I meant if Smash 4 would have been announced and started development years ago, of course this hasn't happened so yes, I would be dissapointed if it got rushed earlier than projected, at least Q2-Q4 2012 is what I'm expecting it's release, but more wouldn't hurt I guess to make it has perfect as possible fixing issues and such.

Huh...I completely forgot about Goldeen in the second episode until you mentioned it...that'd be a good explanation.

Drifblim would also make a good Poke Ball, using Ominous Wind to blow opponents around, while causing damage.

I think Smash 64 was in development for the least amount of time, so it couldn't have been made during the second episode. But that's probably where they get the inspiration from.
