Yup, the Zelda HD gameplay was showing that off

I have a really good feeling it is Vaati because of these connections and that Ghirahim looks like a Minish

There is no confirmation that Vaati is the master of Ghirahim. If he is, then I will concur with this statement. But if it ends up the master is Ganon, then a fifth rep not named Tingle is unlikely.

He was sealed in Four Swords Adventures (which came before The Minish Cap), so in order for him to possibly make an appearance, Skyward Swords should be before The Minish Cap and after Four Swords Adventures. If it takes place after The Minish Cap, it will be Ganon who is revived, not Vaati. That said, it is possible for that to happen with the world seemingly meld between the Triforce and Toon period.

But I'm not holding my breath for Vaati's Skyward Swords appearance, but I will say he is a likely candidate if he does make an appearance in that game and SSB4 will be his last shot at a playable spot.

Actually from what I know the Four Swords comes after The Minish Cap as the MC was confirmed to pre-date all of the Zelda titles chronologically. Plus Ganondorf was in Four Swords which does not make any sense if placed before Minish Cap. Vaati dies in Minish cap yet was sealed in Four Swords, something must happen to him. Considering Vaati is trying to "revive" his master it could explain how Vaati is resurrected and than sealed. The only problem with this would be in how it ties itself into Ocarina of Time, because Aounuma has stated that the game will touch upon why Ganondorf is the way he is in Ocarina of Time. I have no real way of knowing at this time.

Well, for the most part I do hope it's Ganondorf, that way it keep Tingle out, but like I said, we just need to wait for the game and figure out who exactly is "the master' then we will know for sure, about 2 months to be exact.

Wait, if Four Swords came before Minish Cap and Vaati was sealed in Four Swords, how did he show up after? Skyward Sword is a prequel to Ocarina of Time and Minish Cap is said to be the first in the timeline before Four Swords.

This is a rare sight. I like it. Although honestly, I don't know what the big fuss is over Debbie. I mean, HE IS COOL, I guess, but if I had my pick between the rando-Zelda characters, it would definitely be Majora(On Skull Kid). IMO, he's the scariest villian Nintendo has ever made. He's insane, and wants to simply destroy the world. THAT IS IT. He just wants everyone to die. The crazy part is, doesn't he succeed in making the moon fall? When's the last time Ganon did something RIGHT?

I think you're taking the word master, like it means specifically his mentor or king or something. Which would probably be humanoid, but it could VERY WELL be just a giant boss, or some sort of "godlike" creature.

I'm going to tell you right now, your reasoning is bad if somehow you concluded "Waluigi is the pefect candidate for Smash!".

@---: I'm curious as to why you made Victini a starter. I (obviously) agree with the choice, but I honestly do think if Victini gets a playable spot, it will have to be unlocked. Jigglypuff is more likely to get the starters treatment.

That said, it is an overall good roster. The only thing that I question is the likelihood of six slots for Pokemon (although possible) and Waluigi's inclusion over Bowser Jr., Toad, or Paper Mario.

No Waluigi, yes he's on the rise but if he is considered part of the Mario franchise I don't see him as likely due to Toad and Bowser Jr. already, I'm sorry.

Anyway after thinking about it, and the fact that I could care less about who gets the Mario slot, although I would perfer PM.

• He was chosen above several other possible Mario AT characters, of whom my be more deserving.
• He does have a fare fanbase.
• Sakurai gave a major hint on the Dojo when he talked about him, similar to Saki.
• While many see that him being a Spin-Off only character will hurt his chances, it may in fact help increase them. As Sakurai may choose him as a representative for the many Mario Spin-Offs, so it's really all on how Sakurai sees him.

Over all, he's the only Mario character to actually show evidence for becoming playable in the next game. And this being a relistic roster it makes sense for me to pick him despite my own personal bias.

Well, not in this community but in general, his spin-offs and such do count, but I still think he is very unlikely, heck even Paper Mario stands in his way.

I wouldn't take the whole Assist Trophy thing too seriously as Mewtwo and Roy did not show up at all as a summon, and yet they were farther along than Waluigi ever was. Only Saki, and to a lesser extent Gray Fox, had a legitimate hint. Waluigi was just more of a tease.
